I drove 10 minutes to print a couple of pages, only to be told they don't accept walk-in printing jobs. Even though I had the documents ready online, they insisted I go back home, upload them through their website, and return in an hour. When I called they set one aside for me but when I got to the store and couldn't figure out how to make it work they found the right tip for me and were so helpful! Today I witnessed a dedicated employee at Office Depot in Severna Park. Despite the copier jamming during a 212 page print job Ahlevia H. kept her cool. Then despite the second copier dying Ahlevia continued to smile and wait on all of her customers. She is an exemplary employee because she was able to stay calm and continue with her duties. Stopped in at this Office Depot on Christmas Eve, Dec 24th. Was looking for a cross-cut paper shedder. Shelves were a tad bear as this was the last day of the shopping madness season ... but they DID have what I was looking for. Every employee I happened upon greeted me and asked if they could be of assistance. The Office Depot training program is 100 percent spot on with this chapter as I experience the same behavior in every Office Depot I visit. Kudos to Office Depot. Drove 10 miles to Office Depot, after confirming their hours online. My printer wasn't cooperating and I needed 2 pages of documents printed off of my email before noon. I was informed the printing and copying services were unavailable until "around 1pm" due to it being Black Friday. I looked around, noted I was one of 3 customers in the Entire store, explained it was really kind of urgent and got a shrug. I went across the street where the UPS store employee was helpful and polite, printing my docs in less than 2 minutes. Suspending services offered is really ridiculous, but being unable to think outside the box and base decisions on circumstances is even worse. What an amazing experience when compared to the Office Depot Pasadena, MD location! Severna Park location was clean and setup well. It was also very easy to find assistance unlike Pasadena. The guy helping us with the printers today went above and beyond to answer our questions and help us locate the right printer although many are out of stock due to the trucking industry. I did not get his name but he had very long blonde hair and wore eyeglasses. My husband and I agreed, it is worth the drive into Severna Park to visit this location. read more

This store has never been very accommodating, but today was an example of the worst. I went there to get a printer ink cartridge for a type I'd bought there several times before. The shelf for that brand was completely empty, save for two boxes of the OD brand in a size different from mine. When I FINALLY got someone whom I could ask about it, he said "they're probably phasing it out." Phasing out ink cartridges for a name-brand printer (Dell) After I requested him to, he did a computer search to see if OD had in their own brand a comparable cartridge (which they used to have), it came up dry (pun intended). What kind of an office supply store has such a limited supply base that they can't keep supplies for major brands? It would take a dire need for me to come back to this store. read more

I came into this location with 53 pages, one sided. I needed them to be copied to be 2-sided. No big deal, right? The man who was assisting me (he was an Assistant Manager, so his nametag stated) looked at me like I had three heads when I asked for this and then went to the back of the copying area to ask another worker if it was possible and she simply showed him how to use the copier. Assistant Manager that doesn't know how to use the copier...in the copy department? I was disappointed. I also had asked for them to be hole-punched, and they were not. So the other woman (she had long pink hair) said "If I had known they were supposed to be hole punched, I could have done it in the copier" in a very nasty voice. I also witnessed this woman being very rude to a customer with a very simple order. Will not be using their copy center again. read more

The place is okay but the chances of me visiting here more often are highly unlikely. Will probably only stop in out of last minute desperation. The new copy/print machines are SOOOO SLOWWWW. It takes me twice as long to get what I need done. I preferred the old ones, plus having those sheets that printed out at check out were very helpful at keeping track of things. Stopped in on Thursday one week ago to get two photos printed from my tablet. Was helped by one employee, who then passed me off to another in the middle of our transaction because it was time for her to leave. OK. Spent an hour and left without the photos because their printer was not working. Was told to email my contact info, and the photos that I wanted printed, and they would contact me when the printer was working. Did not hear back, so I stopped in again on the following Tuesday. Waited 10 minutes before someone was available to help me. While the manager who finally came to help me was very nice, she informed me that the printer was still down, but I would need to email her my info yet again, because my original email was not saved. Sigh. Went to the one in Glen Burnie just for the convenience of their location. Got my photos there, but after being checked out, the employee walked away from the counter without putting my photos in a bag. I asked for a bag, and received one when she laid it on the counter next to my photos and again walked away. Will not return to any Office Depot. read more

I have been using the tech services at Office Depot in Severna Park out of convenience because it's minutes from my house. I signed up for a year contract to service my laptop and I must say that the customer service is poor to say the least. Rarely have I had a good experience. They seem lazy at times as one of the techs told me that it is not store policy to keep my contract information in the system and since I did not have my paper work with me he could not help me. Once I challenged him he all of a sudden was able to pull my information up. I was also charged for a service that they were not able to do on a second laptop and it took me several phones calls over a 4-5 week span and 4 in-person visits to the store to get my refund after having been given promise after promise that it would be taken care of. And forget about getting a call back if they send your laptop out for service. I had to do my own investigating to find out the work order was complete and when I called the store it turns out that it had been ready for several days but they neglected to notify me. Lesson learned - I will be taking my laptop to a more professional and reliable tech service after this!! read more
