I had a very pleasant experience with Alec, the Sales Representative & Printing Expert who was absolutely Amazing! I have been trying to get some business cards printed. I have been to three different places and didn't get much help. In fact, I went to Fed Express, near Whole Foods, and I spent 2 1/2 hours design designing my business cards and when I attempted to process my payment, I was unable to finish with the payment. Their computer kept going offline.There was one associate at Fed Express who was busy with a customer so all of my hard work was deleted! I am very happy with Alec! read more

Quality/Quantity - My usual company for copies. Sadly, it was a failure today. I should have gone to my usual South Reno Office Depot. Atmosphere - Huge space, no customers and barely any employees. See picture for business hours and holiday hours. Plenty of mall parking. Service - Fail. Self service machine could NOT read my USB. Not only did the employee charge me full price, but she needed my name, address, email address, phone #, etc... For $2 worth of copies?!?! What is wrong with this?!?! What a waste of my time! I know that you want that information for marketing/SPAMing me. No thank you. Price - 29¢ a copy; expensive since your self service machine can NOT read my USB. I should be charged the 20¢ price. But not going to debate with an employee for 60¢ of over charging... I went to the Office Depot in Northtowne Shopping Center in need of a new office chair. I had previously gone to Staples on Plumb Lane and was very disappointed by the cleanliness of the store (or lack thereof), as well as the lack of assistance from any employee. I was in the store for 45 minutes or so and was offered zero help, so I left and went to Office Depot. A young man named Hawk helped me right away. I picked out a chair, he went and grabbed the box for me out of the back, rang me up on the register, and then carried it out to my car. I had such a pleasant experience here compared to my visit to Staples. I am happy to give them my business because of the guy that helped me out. Thank you! read more

Went to Office Depot with the sole purpose of finding and purchasing an office chair for my home office. As I was walking in, there were signs stating office chair sale 60% off. The display upon entering had a chair set up. I sat in it and it was perfect. Found the right color and was in and out in 10 min. Put this chair together at home with easy installation and tools included. My ass will be forever grateful. If you need office products or furniture you'll OD at OD with great selection, prices and customer service. read more

I only use their print center. I've had the best experiences until about 1 yr ago. I went to the print section. The employee was on the phone for 15 ( easily heard, a personal call). Spoke to manager (Steve), real piece of work. He said to me "well she's the manager of that department and couldn't get a break for lunch???? I went in yesterday 10/27/22 to mail FedEx a small package. I've just had strokes and use a walker. The girl working was rude and affect was one of disdain. She pushed the box tape and label towards me. I asked "Am I supposed to do this myself?)." She just walked away. I tried my best and ended up tearing a small part of the label. I went to Steve (manager), his answer was that if I wanted the employee to do it, it would cost me for packing and shipping. Seriously, tape and a label? Steve's responses are stupid. And show how little he cares about his job. Both times he had a ridiculous answer! I told him that if you are going to charge a customer for common courtesy and appropriate customer service then he needed signage( that customer's can see) to let them know about this. Ordered a monitor online. went to pick it up and they only had the display left. I asked why did it let me order something you don't have in stock? The manager was the one helping me and she said she didn't know. I asked if I could get a discount since it was the display one and she said no since it was already on sale. She canceled the order and said it would get transferred to another location. She called the other location and they did not have the order so I had to order one to another location or just go shop for one. Everyone at this location was very useless and not helpful. I would never have Chrystie (I think that was the managers name) ever work or manage a company. Go to the office depot on disc drive instead. read more

This office depot really let me down. I came last Thursday to have a stamp made. The girl who took down my information told me it would be ready the following day, (Friday). When I did not hear anything by Monday, I called and inquired about what was going on. I was told the stamp was made, but they were waiting on labels to go onto the top of the stamp. I had asked if they were able to use my exact logo that I brought in, and was told "yes, we scanned it in and made it exactly as requested". Then Tuesday, I received a call saying the stamp was just waiting for the labels to arrive. On Thursday, a week after I had come into the store, I received an email saying they found a font that was similar to my request and wanted me to approve the design. I questioned in the email back, "has my stamp not been made? I had already been told it had been finished and was just waiting for the label" they then lied again and said they hadn't made the stamp at all and still needed to wait for the label to come in. At that point I had been told 4 different stories and I canceled my order. I do not understand why they are so incompetent here but I am taking my business elsewhere. read more

I went in wanting to purchase a new desktop computer and was treated like a straight criminal. It got so bad I had to stop and ask the clerk if I had offended her in some way. She was snide and rude and answered my questions with disinterest and boredom. When I asked for the manager I was informed she WAS the manager!! I was appalled and started to leave. As I was walking out I turn around and see I was being stalked by by not 1, but 3 other employees, I assume loss prevention. I tried to call and make a complaint and after spending over 30 mins on hold ( I blame COVID not Office Depot for this) the operator I got the feeling was pretending not to hear me even though I had perfect reception and could hear her just fine, so she hung up. I'm now boycotting this franchise and hope to spread the word of this rude manager at this location read more

It is an Office Depot - not much different from all the other Office Depots in this world. So why 4 stars? Every time I have gone there someone always greets me very pleasantly, asks if I need any assistance, and then, if needed, provides me with that assistance. This particular store is not usually crowded which is a plus. Office depot offers a number of "frequent buyer" discounts. I really like their "teacher awards" program. I have been a member for years and the periodic discounts have been nice. Items are labeled and displayed in a logical fashion. I usually have little trouble finding what I need, and if I am uncertain, well, there is always somebody there to ask. All in all a nice store. read more

Six weeks ago, I went to this store to drop off a package for fed-ex. I was told by an older lady that I should put it on a shelf and not hand it to one of the employees behind the counter (First I heard of this after3 years). She said the workers did not have time to put the box where it was suppose to go. HUMM!, today I went in to send another box and as there was a small line and no one at the counter computer, so I booted it up and input the label info. After waiting for the young man to get done with who he was waiting on, he came tome and said that I had "cut in line"....There WAS NO LINE at the computer...I almost made a scene, but in stead took my box and left. I have been going to Office Depot for 3 years, but no more. My wife has her own business and she is done with them also. read more

Went into Office Depot yesterday and a very pleasant young lady assisted me. Unfortunately the product i purchased was not the one i needed so i returned today and the young man that was assisting me was absolutely concomitant. He count do a no receipt return and then when his manager tried to help him he talked back to her. This kid looked at my drivers license as if he had never seen one before. I said "You know what, I'll go to the Disc Drive location" he said "Okay, because i don't know how to do all this" . I was in the store for ten minutes with no resolve. I highly suggest that Office Depot do some extensive customer service training when hiring these young kids. read more

I was 40 min at store, trying tables and was moving chairs to see if I like the set up, and employees passing by and not offering any help, any suggestions or even greeting. I've got to say this was the worst experience in any office supply store. To start, the layout is lame. Envelopes on one side of the store and pens on the other? The employees are more interested in putting away stock or talking to each other at the print and copy section than assisting the customers. I was in a line of eight people for twenty minutes waiting to purchase pens, envelopes and stamps. Their was one cashier, but three people talking and laughing at the print and copy section. (Which has a clear view of the checkout line.) The cashier called for a backup and the cashier came up (five minutes later) and took one customer and went on break. (Leaving the other seven of us in line waiting.) The main cashier called for another backup cashier and she came up and started helping. Twenty minutes wait to purchase three items? Sad. Guess i'll purchase my items on Amazon next time. read more

So I purchased a piece of furniture from these guys Saturday night. I was at work Sunday trying to get my office back together after destroying it Saturday. I was under a time frame to get this done. I go to put this thing together and it is missing probably the 4 most important pieces of the whole thing. I did notg haved the time for this as I was under a crunch for time. I decided to take a chance and drive back there with just the directions. I was praying they could help me out without having bring the whole thing back as it was spread out in my showroom. I went into the store and approached Kayla the cashier and explained what it was missing and I really didn't have time to be missing parts because I had to get this done. Then the manager Dawn came over and looked at the paperwork. The same guy that I picked it from the night before was working by the name of Colton. She asked him to go find another unit in the back and get the 4 pieces I was missing. I was son relieved. He found them and I purchased more items while I was waiting. Now my company wants us to use staples because we get a corporate discount but honestly with customer service like this from all 3 of them they wine my continued business. You 3 are awesome and truly appreciate everything you guys did to help me out. This place is awesome and they carry the things thaat the other place does not. Awesome awesome awesome. The manager at this store is very unprofessional. I purchased a cash box thought I had what I needed so I threw away the receipt. Found out I needed a steel box. When I went to get a steel box I asked about the return without receipt policy. The cashier was going to do it but when she called for a manager override the manager refused. No reason, just refused. This was a credit card transaction, no cash involved. read more

Buyers beware. Every computer they sell is a scam. They come with a virus and after 30 days they don't work. So. You take it in and they charge you almost $200 to fix it. They sell them cheap but for a reason. They try and up sell virus protections. Windows. Etc. Huge waste. Buy a mac or buy from a store who stands by the junk they sell. This store itself is your typical Office Depot (not a bad thing!). But my review is for the print area. The girls who get my business cards, brochures, and the like are always very helpful and get the job done right. It is a great alternative to ordering from a company online and having them ship it to you because you get your printed items the same day! You just have to drive there is all, and wait a bit. The price is not bad at all especially when you throw in your Chamber of Commerce discount. They offer quite a few discounts other than that also. Its a great deal and quality product. read more

Use this location at LEAST 2 times a week. Went yesterday to have some documents (10 pages total) scanned and emailed. I arrived at 2:30 and was told, by Bradley, this would take 1/2 of an hour (?) So leaving all the info in Bradley's hands, I said, "Ok, I'll come back later." He never asked for my name, my number. I had Cc'd myself on the email, and kept checking my inbox. No email, no email. Now, it's 3:50 (my documents needed to be there by 4:00pm) I call Office Depot to let them know it had not gone through safely. THAT'S when BRADLEY informed me, "No, you didn't pay before you left, so I never sent it." HE NEVER ASKED FOR PAYMENT. (I had just been there on Monday for the same process, though I had sent 74 SEVENTY-FOUR pages - BOOM, done in 10 min, WITHOUT pre-paying) . I drove down there in a FLASH, as the clock was ticking. BRADLEY, proceeded to walk around the store, help others, and even IGNORE his Supervisor, Steve, when asked to finish assisting me. Bradley is surely, at best, and most CERTAINLY should not be working in a Customer Service position. Steve, Manager, tried to assist me. BRADLEY let me stand there for 20 min before simply hitting the "Send" button. Unprofessional and antagonistic. Who allows an employee to act like this???? I am a business owner and would have fired him on the spot for speaking to a customer in this manner. read more
