Even when I'm unsure about my plan of attack for a project, they are diligent in giving me the best options. It's quick and easy to pop in here with a USB drive and print out whatever I need on my own. This is ideal for large print jobs so I don't have to waste the ink in my printer at home! Just recently I needed custom labels printed and I was able to bring in my own sheet sticker paper. The associate at FedEx printed the job for me behind the counter, and for a few extra dollars they even cut all 120 labels out for me! Such a time saver. Along with printers and computers you can find plenty of office supplies here for sale as well. Of course it's a convenient spot for shipping and they will take your passport photos too. Sometimes I have to wait a while to be helped initially, but that's only when they are working on multiple projects at once. For the most part though, it's speedy and helpful service. Even if I have to wait a few minutes, Starbucks is conveniently located a few doors down!

When we first came in, I asked if they could assist us in making the wreath. Even though there were lots of other people there, I felt like we were getting lots of attention. And it wasn't just us! They were giving assistance to each person in the class. Kudos to management. Do have the perfect people working in the classroom. It's this type of experience that will keep me coming back to the store. The boys had a wonderful gift to give to their parents. I may just come back and make one for myself.

POSTER CHILD   This…read morereliable arts & crafts store in Bolingbrook always has some kind of sale going on.   I've stopped into this Hobby Lobby on Weber Rd a couple times to buy frames and canvas art, after noticing the walls in our house had been looking rather bare.  The store itself is pretty sleepy as there's rarely more than 4-5 people shopping at any given time, with only 1-2 staff and a single register open.   The colorful textiles and D.I.Y. fabrics are towards the back of the store, while picture accessories and seasonal things are on the right.  Frames were 50% off when I visited - a 20" x 16" was priced at $6, down from $12 - so I paid considerably less than if I'd gone on Amazon.  The cheap frames fit my needs perfectly.   I also bought two tropical landscapes for the master bathroom.  Their canvas art comes in all kinds of formats, be it a large square or skinny vertical (6" x 36").  Hobby Lobby has an area devoted to Star Wars, Marvel and some DC stuff, plus a nautical/oceany section with anchors, ship wheels, and a very cool holographic shark.  CHOMP!   * TL;DR *   You can usually expect to see some type of discount on Hobby Lobby's merchandise, and that makes them an appealing option as more stores try to compete with online retailers.   My experiences thus far have been quiet but successful.  I'm glad to have a place nearby that carries such a wide assortment of project materials and home décor.

They walked us to all the different brands and explained a few differences. The gentleman helping us have us some suggestions on the best way to apply to stain, prepping and drying tips. They were helpful! We ended up buying Minwax Wood Finish Semi-Transparent Dark Walnut Oil-Based Stain, 1 qt. for $9! We were appreciative of the associate's help and the stain worked out perfect for what we needed. I ended up buying all sorts of goodies. I asked, and was told that the stores carry different stock based on local demand. In this case, they are close to College of DuPage, and carry items needed in classes there. I saw everything I normally see in Schaumburg, and more. Maybe less framing, but then I don't go to an art SUPPLY store for frames. Compared to the Schaumburg store, they carry a very good selection of pottery tools and glazes. Like a whole aisle full! Since I am taking pottery, this was a very fortuitous stop. I found the staff very helpful. When I had a technical question about a glaze, they tracked down someone who could answer my question.

I came to this store to…read morere-up my entire palette of Golden fluid acrylics and maybe pick up some of the new OPEN acrylics while I was at it. We were first stopped just inside the door by one friendly associate who welcomed/greeted us and recited a long menu of store specials and their back to school sale, and if we need help she's right over there at the counter for us. We were like, ok, got it, thanks! I knew what I needed and just wanted to see the colors I was buying in person, so I start shopping. Less than a minute later here's another associate, another WELCOME here's ALL our sales and our BACK TO SCHOOL SALE and if you need ANYTHING we're right over HERE by the counter! Okay, I said, thank you, that's great. I smiled and again I tried to start shopping. Another thirty seconds and here's another associate who gives me, AGAIN, the welcome/sales sales sales/we're over HERE by the cash register if you need anything! (Where ELSE am I going to go look for assistance? The deli next door at Whole Foods?) Unable to concentrate on selecting my paints, I went to give my husband the three things I had managed to pick up and was stopped by another associate who gave us both the same sales speech AGAIN. It was as though the entire shift was actively preventing me from finding the materials I was there, cash in pocket, struggling to buy. Yes, I did start getting terse and snippy when I was just repeatedly approached with the very same canned spam sales pitch by multiple ridiculously aggressive associates, because it was incredibly annoying. Maybe they thought I was shoplifting? One associate who had already given us the sales speech and apparently taken offense at my manner then approached me when I was by myself (of course) still trying to look at the Goldens. In a voice dripping with contempt, they slowly and deliberately gave me the same speech yet again. That's not creepy or confrontational, is it. Refusing to make eye contact with them, I squinted at the tube in my hands and said again, great, thanks, got it. We were in the store for maybe five minutes, seriously, for all of that. The contemptuous confrontational person came to the door while I was outside waiting for my husband, and stood with phone in hand, watching me with a little smile, seemingly texting. So on top of all that I'm sure I'm the new Karen on some sad social media site somewhere. And then we drove to the Schaumburg Blick, which is awesome with associates who are allowed to speak normally to customers and let them shop, and I bought all the rest of my paint there.
