I stopped into The UPS Store in West Chicago for the first time today. Even though I drive past it…read moreat least twice a day, five days a week. I never even noticed it was there. It is located in the back of a mostly empty shopping plaza, and not very visible from the street. I only found out about it after Google searching copy places near me (the Fed-Ex/Kinko's I usually go to was having a very hard day -- couldn't even make me 40 b&w copies, but that's a different story for a different review). I am so glad I know about this UPS store now. I called ahead to check pricing and availability. The man who answered the phone, Jon, was very friendly, answered all my questions, and invited me to come on in. As soon as I walked in, Jon greeted me with a smile. There was a blonde woman working as well, whose name I didn't catch (sorry!), who was also extremely pleasant. Jon even went out of his way to use white-out on my original where there was some writing I didn't want copied. The white-out covered some of the lines, so he went and got a ruler and a pen and drew me some more perfectly straight lines!! He did a test copy to make sure I was happy, and then made the rest of my copies. All of this for someone who was spending a grand total of $4.00!! That, in my book, is customer service that goes above and beyond. I need copy and printing services fairly often for my work, and this is DEFINITELY my new go-to print shop. Those of you who drive past 59 & North Ave everyday and don't realize this great little print/mailing shop is back here, take a closer look. It's worth finding. Service and friendliness like you'll find here is hard to come by these days! Thanks UPS Store! And a big thank you to the employees who helped me. You gained a customer and made a lasting impression! Glad I got to brag about you!!

West Valley Graphics in St. Charles, IL, went above and beyond in helping us create the perfect celebration of life pamphlet for my best friend's mother. From the very start, Dana was incredibly responsive and ensured that our order was handled with care. Leslie took on the challenge of printing and making countless edits--easily over 20--with patience, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to getting everything just right. The pamphlet was designed in Canva, and they even helped us tweak the layout so it printed flawlessly. In addition to the pamphlets, they printed beautiful memorial bookmarks and oversized photos for display on easels. My best friend reminded me that this was a final document--one that would live on forever--and thanks to West Valley Graphics, it turned out absolutely perfect. Even though I live an hour away in Chicago, I will gladly pass by countless print shops to work with West Valley Graphics again. Their exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and compassion during such a meaningful moment will always be appreciated. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I have used Luxon Printing now for (yikes, am I that old?) 20 years. They are one of the few great local print shops still around, and probably still the best-kept secret. They don't have all the frills and shmoozing... they are just a nice niche print shop for the best offset 19x25 work you will ever get. Yelp is great, but check them out for yourself. Call and ask for samples or just support/advice on a complex, low-volume (20,000 or less, depending on size/page count) project. They do a lot of finishing in house, so their costs are very economical. Plus, they're cool enough that they will tell you if it's not a good fit. I always love working with them.
