My interaction with the chat agent, "Marvin."
Chris W.

The associates and staff at Office Depot were rude and dishonest. I recently purchased a desk from Office Depot. The initial delivery date was not met. The second delivery date was not met either. I took off from work to ensure that someone would be home to receive the delivery on the scheduled delivery date. Apparently, the driver was too lazy to knock on the door for the second delivery date. Instead, I got an email stating that "no one was home." Not true. He then re-routed my desk delivery 2 business days later. Maybe the driver was behind on deliveries and needed to lighten his schedule. However, to falsely state that no one was home (without knocking or calling) is completely unacceptable. I then called 1-800-463-3768 to address the issue. The foreign agent was not helpful at all. She repeatedly placed me on hold... only to return with no answers to address my questions and concerns. Secondly, I dialed into the Chat Help Desk. The agent on the Chat feature was even worse. He gave a completely different reason for the non-delivery of my item. He states that the desk was "sourced out from a third party" and considers that to be the reason for the non-delivery and re-scheduling of my delivery. Keep in mind, I received an email earlier that day... falsely stating that "no one was home." He tells me to "disregard" the lie stated... and then tells me to "kindly wait" for the re-scheduled delivery date that was 5 days out from my originally scheduled delivery! Seriously?!? Furthermore, I never got to speak to a supervisor. I then cancelled my order. Needless to say, I will not be ordering any other items from Office Depot. Terrible customer service.

Most unpleasant experience I've had at Office Depot yet, I wish these stores would hurry up and close already! Rude and nothing ever works

My wife dropped her phone over the weekend and cracked the screen so I looked around on Yelp and…read morefound this place. The owner was very helpful responding to my questions on Yelp. The tech working today, Ethan, did a great job repairing the phone. He gave my wife excellent customer service and had her phone fixed in a timely fashion. I will definitely return here for any future cellphone repair needs!

1 Star - Very Disappointed and Unprofessional Experience…read more I brought my insured iPhone 17 in for a cracked screen repair. The phone was fully functional when I dropped it off, and the crack was so minor that you had to look closely to even notice it. The employee accepted my phone without mentioning any additional charges. However, when my girlfriend went to pick it up, she was told there was a $120 charge, even though Asurion had informed me that the repair would be completely free under my insurance. When I spoke with the employee over the phone, he admitted that his staff was supposed to verify that information before accepting my phone. That should have been handled upfront, not after the fact. Since I was busy at work and couldn't spend time going back and forth with Asurion or AT&T to resolve their mistake, I simply requested that my phone be returned. Here's the biggest problem: My phone was in working condition when I dropped it off, but now it doesn't work at all! I brought in a functioning phone with a minor cracked screen and ended up with a phone that no longer works. This is completely unacceptable. I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism. I would strongly recommend that anyone considering this location make sure all charges are confirmed beforehand and that their device is thoroughly checked before leaving it in their care. I expect an explanation for why my phone was returned in worse condition than when I brought it in, and I want this situation resolved.

It's a small local operation, but they are really timely and knowledgeable with both PCs and Macs. We haven't brought them a problem they couldn't tackle. Dane would have to get up…read more Tried giving this local shop my business for a quick project turnaround, and it was easily one of the worst retail interactions I've ever experienced. "Dane" was the employee. I called looking for a basic, Windows system to use purely as a localized stress-test machine. Instead of listening, the guy was immediately patronizing, telling me things were 'too expensive or wouldn't be good enough' for me without a clue what I was using it for. He went from. We don't have anything that expensive too. We don't have anything that cheap. Then he just finally said "..no but uh I'd have to get up"..verbatim. When I tried giving him exact technical criteria to see what they had in stock (targeting Windows Pro, DDR5 or a baseline Ryzen configuration), he completely checked out, spoke over me, and rushed me off the phone with an abrupt 'I gotta go, I gotta go.' New Orleans is too small of a market to treat clients with this level of dismissiveness. If you want a tech shop that communicates like professional adult, take your business elsewhere.

As in, I think he should raise them, because he does an above-and-beyond job and is charging far, far less than the standard. He was able to recover my data from my netbook that I had dumped water on. The motherboard was fried, but he was able to get my data off, sold me the flash drive he purchased to transfer my data at cost, and my bill was 15% of what Best Buy would have charged. When he dropped off my computer when he was done, he still took extra time with me to install a few programs on my new computer. A+ for technical help, customer service, price, and convenience.

When she pulled out her computer to work the very first day, it wouldn't start up. Some strange flashing lights, then nothing. Not good. We called a place nearby with good reviews, but they weren't receptive. Called The Computer Doctor - he said he worked on my wife's kind of machine all the time (Lenovo ThinkPad) and would be happy to take a look - he'd be in his shop in an hour. They met and he quickly sorted out there was a screw loose (many jokes ensued). He put the screw back in place, buttoned things up, and she was out of there in under an hour. And for a very reasonable cost. Thanks!
