Five stars all the way baby!! Not only are the folks here efficient, they're super fast and accurate with their diagnosis of a tech problem. My screen cracked on my MacBook Pro (sometimes I think Apple makes these things just that sensitive) and it needed replacing. The screen was fixed on scheduled until Sam ran into another problem with the battery. I really appreciated how Sam kept in touch with me about new developments and gave me great estimates of updated repair times and costs. He replaced the battery with no additional charge and it was ready as promised. They're also pretty honest and will tell you if something is worth fixing or not. My husband went there with a super old tablet, attempting to resuscitate the poor thing and it was a no go. I think his feelings were a little bruised because he hates letting go of gadgets, LOL!! Yesterday i entered fixit computer & iphone repair and went back 50 years in time. How did I go back you ask? On 9/5/23 I broke my charging ac adapter. After a geek squad visit, I was told that there was a piece of the ac adapter lodged in the port that receives the charging adapter. They said that they would send it off to see if it could be removed but fixit could remove it immediately. I traveled to fixit and put down a $75.00 deposit and left my laptop. An hour and 8 minutes later I recieved a telephone call from fixit telling me that my deposit had been returned to my credit card because they had pulled the peice of adapter from my laptop. After arriving back at fixit I was told that there was NO CHARGE for the work that they had performed! Who does this? No one does! That type of service died 50 years ago. The days of friendly reliable service just to be friendly and reliable does not happen in 2023! These guys have a conscience and do good work and feel that since it was just a small job then no charge. Please please please use them! They deserve all of the business in the world! I have had a few iPhones. I never cracked a screen, until I bought an iPhone 8plus. During Mardi Gras, I took my iPhone to the parade route when disaster struck. It got knocked out my hands, hit the ground, then got stepped on. Anyway. I took it to this location, and it was fixed under 2hours. I thought I would have to leave it overnight. I am throughly satisfied with the service speed and quality of the work. It was totally worth it. I refused to pay insurance fees, which adds up to $180 a year, and never use it. I had my first experience at Fixit Tech Suite approximately 2 years ago when my son shattered the screen on his I-Pad. I can't remember exactly how much the new screen cost but it was much cheaper than a new I-Pad. The service was friendly and the turnaround time was very good. (Shame on me for not Yelping them back then. Fast forward two years and I recently found that my I-Phone 5-S was not charging correctly. Specifically, the charging cord had to be wiggled constantly to get the charger to make a connection and begin charging. It also felt like the cord was not fitting securely in the phone. I blew out the port with compressed air and still no remedy. I tried 3 different cords but none of them worked any better. I relegated my mind that the charging port was bad and I either needed a new phone or I had to get this one repaired. When I saw the prices on the new I-Phone 7, I immediately made up mu mind that I was going to get the phone repaired. With my past success at Fixit Tech Suite, I went back on 9/17/2016 to get a quote on having the phone's charging port replaced. A nice young man by the name of John took my phone to the "back" and came back with it in less than 60 seconds. I thought he was speaking to Lead Tech / Manager (Gage Rideout) to get my quote, but when he returned, he advised me that there was a piece of lint in the back of the port that was preventing it from charging correctly and he had it removed. He demonstrated the phone's charger in front of me and let me insert the charging cord as well. I could feel it snap into place when i inserted it. What a relief, as I was expecting to pay for a major service. I was expecting to pay $100.00 - $200.00 for a new port but was now anticipating only a minor service charge. When I asked how much I owed him, he stated this was a common problem and there would be NO CHARGE. I could hardly believe my ears. Gage Rideout and the owners of Fixit Tech Suite are honest and have a lot of integrity. It would have been so easy to change the port and charge me accordingly or even charge me a small service charge (which I would have been happy to pay). The woman came in to get a screen repaired on her Apple Watch, and the employee told her honestly that the part needed was quite expensive, and that it would not be worth a repair. This is a 1st for me. Shelling out 150.00 for a stupid mistake and still feeling happy about it. While biking the St. Tammany Trace on Thursday I dropped my phone on the concrete when loading my bike into the truck. I picked it up and sure enough the screen was shattered. Then tell you between 199.00-249.00 and make you schedule an appointment. No thanks! Since I was at work in Da Parish, I stopped by this place that says "we fix all phones". The guy says "no problem" have to you in 2 hours. He only wanted 110.00. That was 40.00 cheaper than all the other places. I thought Score! I come back 3 hours later and he yells "Not yet!" I asked when and he said "maybe 4 or maybe tomorrow". I demanded my phone back and noticed it is completeyl shattered now to where I cannot even see anything. The guys tells me I brought it to him like that. I taught him a few new words in the English language and left. Anyway long story short don't make the same mistakes I did. Call Fixit Tech or just go in. I called and the guy on the phone answered immediately and said they would have my phone ready in 30-45 minutes. I dropped my phone off at 3:30, went to Martin's Wine Cellar and was back in 20 minutes. A different person asked if he could help me, I told him I was a little early and would just look at Otterboxes. He said " Well let me check...yep it's done". Phone looked brand new and in 20 minutes! Unreal fast service!!! Very friendly and competitve prices. While I would say I will be back, I seriously I hope that I am not. read more

I went back to them out of sheer curiosity to see if they would be able to put a new screen on my poor shattered 2013 MacBook Pro! I messaged Fixit on a Sunday, before they were even open for the day about my aging laptop. My precious MacBook had decided on Friday evening to not fully boot up. My goggling on my phone lead to dead ends and I was losing my mind by Sunday as nothing I did would work. They messaged back within minutes. Their Veterans BLVD location is less than a mile from my house. They had no one to look at it on Sunday, so I gave them my information and a deposit. Monday after work, I stopped by and the technician was looking at it. Tuesday morning, they call me and tell me it was repaired. With the discount at check in on YELP, the whole bill was less than $100, and they did not have to wipe my hard drive clean. Yes, my laptop was purchased in 2010, but they were completely non-judgmental I so appreciated that. Yes, I know that I should not have put money into something so old and outdated, but I really dislike change, even something as minor as a laptop. I don't really use it all that much for anything but iTunes and my iPod (please don't judge me for that, I will NOT go to the iPhone and all that entails). They were honest and did not bat any eye about my grandmother of a laptop. I will probably suck it up eventually and get a new laptop and transfer all of my music over. They do repair the iPhone, but do not repair any other phones of any sort. I hope to never come back, but if the need arises, I will know where to go, and I will refer everyone hear and shout their good news from the tree tops. Great customer service. Fast and affordable. The funny thing is I'm giving Fixit five stars and they actually weren't able to fix my computer. Let me explain. My sad sad Mac was having what I can only refer to as screen seizures with weird lines and shiz. I saw the great reviews online for these folks and called to check that they worked on my model, and they said, "yep!" Parking was easy, place was clean, and I was greeted immediately. When I explained the problem, instead of trying to sell me a new part, they point blank told me they've seen this before and that if they got a new part it would probably just happen again. They wanted to make absolutely sure so I put down a $50 deposit that would be used toward my repair if they could fix it. They called me in less than 24 hours to let me know that it was what they thought it was without speaking in too much geek tongue like some other places do. They said they would put all my data in a hard drive casing. I went and scooped it up. The $50 covered the analysis and hard drive. I thought this was definitely worth it. I greatly appreciated their honesty on the matter. I've known other folks who have had this issue and paid the $$ to get a new hard drive or a new part, and while it may have lasted some time, I would've been p.o.'d if it had broke again. So while they didn't Fixit, I would totally suggest them! read more

Oh my! I noticed in the middle of the night my iPhone 6 Plus was not charging despite being plugged up the entire night. I was terrified to be without access to my phone but I had to work the next day. I called prior to visiting this location and was told the cost and estimated time it would take to fix. This location is located next to New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood company and across the street from Starbucks and Jamba Juice. I arrived and was greeted nicely. This is my second time to Fixit and I am so grateful for this business. The first was after my iPad cracked. Today it was for my iPhone, which I cracked while traveling abroad. Given my previous excellent experience with Fixit, I drove straight from the airport to the store. I arrived at noon and they told me to return in an hour fifteen- my screen was already replaced and in my hand by 12:45! This turnover is essential as being without a phone is paralyzing. There is a one year warranty on the repair. Huge bonus- there was a $20 off yelp deal, bringing the repair down to $89 bucks! The store has a great selection of well priced screen protectors, phone cases and apple/non-apple chargers. The employee behind the counter was very knowledgeable and helpful. They intransigently refused any payment whatever. The problem was some obscure setting that my amateur computer nerd nephew could not find.
