The morning of the next working day I got a call from Joe telling me the findings and outlining options. The hard drive was frozen. Joe replaced the old mechanical drive with a solid state one and in another day my laptop was ready to pick up. I was also advised on my options for recovering the information on the old hard drive. He had tried my old hard drive on 3 or 4 other computers without success. I am very happy with the result.
