I gave Dan my computer for one problem to fix. He said it needed cleaning as well so I figured as long as he has it, ok. However, the problem was never fixed and although my computer was cleaned up (I think), the reason I went to him was not resolved. He was not a good communicator as far as listening to what I was describing and trying to say. $200 later, I still have the problem with the computer. To charge me that much and not fixing the original problem bothered me. Edit * After reading this review, he threatened to take away my warranty and to reply unless this was taken down. I reached out to Dan due to my falling victim of scammers that I accidently left have access to my laptop. First, and maybe most important, Dan was very kind and understanding as I explained about how easily I fell prey to the phone scammer. Dan is very knowledgeable in this area and gave me immediate suggestions during our initial phone call, including stressing stop using the computer. Dan was very pleasant to work with, explained what he was finding and repairing and answered all my questions. He worked me into his schedule due to urgency that this computer is used for our small business. I highly recommend Dan as being a 10 out of 10. He additionally corrected some minor errors that apparently occurred at the initial set up. My computer is now better that when I first purchased it. Dan, The Pc Man came to my home today to fix not only 1 computer but 2. I tend to be technically challenged and when my frustration gets the best of me, I just keep pressing buttons, links, apps, etc trying to "fix" the problems which just creates more problems. Dan came highly recommended so gave him a call on Saturday. He managed to squeeze me in Monday afternoon and he was awesome. In three hours he fixed what I have been frustrated about for 3 months. IF ONLY I had heard about him sooner. I now have Dan on my speed dial and won't waste time trying to fix it myself. WOW! Just received a notification from Google that I posted a 5 star review on Dan the PC Man. I DID NOT WRITE A REVIEW. He took it upon himself to use my Google information when he had my computer to write a review. My experience with him was less than ideal & no way would I recommend him. Pretty crappy for Dan to use MY Google account to write a shining review on himself. Pretty shady! If he had your computer, change all your passwords! FYI to future customers, check his Google reviews. Dan does have mostly 5 star reviews, but read his responses if he does not get a 5 star.... I will be reporting this cyber crime as well. read more
