I had an absolute great experience today at Office Depot, I was specifically helped by Rebecca, there was some other people waiting, one of them actually quite rude talking about how in all her time running "16 states" and bringing in 84 million revenue in her business and being 73 years old that having to wait for the printer is "ridiculous". It was also 6:30 peak time when everyone gets off work to head to the store so there shouldn't be any surprise for a wait. Even when it was higher velocity, Rebecca was able to help me handle my package and aid other customers with ease, she was super sweet and would make me want to come back again to shop and use the shipping/printing services. Who ever runs this Office Depot should look into getting her a raise for her patience and ambiguity especially with the rude customer annoying everyone around her. Here's a brief update from my previous five-star review written five years ago. In my opinion, this location is not as good as it used to be. I see the difference in the amount of inventory they keep in stock as well as the employees' desire, or lack of to assist customers, for example, me. They used to be so friendly here, I don't know what happened. I went to their Boca location, and that store had it all; inventory and excellent sales associates providing great customer service. I live locally, and I am all about convenience, so of course, I will be coming back here. I just wish they would provide better customer service like they used to do. I wish they would be better about their inventory running low on so many items. I know all about chain supply issues, but as I found out yesterday, the Boca store has it all, both exceptional customer service and a nice supply of inventory. I believe Boca has two locations. The one I visited is West on Glades Rd near the turnpike. This store isn't bad, but they can do better. I mean, they used to be wonderful. My wife is the ultimate office chair diva. We literally just threw out her third office chair in the last half year. The problem is that she usually buys based on look and then hates the feel when it's all set up. This time around I suggested we go to Office Depot so she could actually sit in the chair prior to buying. Perfect idea. We found a branch 7 mins away. There was plenty of parking on site and the store wasn't all that busy. The shopping center where it's located is a bit run down and doesn't have the best shops, but it's OK. Upon arrival multiple employees either greeted us or said hello. We made our way to the furniture section and noticed a good fifty chairs on display and my wife tested a bunch. The chairs range in price and quality from those little black swivel chairs with no lumbar support for $40 all the way up to $500 for high end executive and gaming chairs which are endorsed by Shaquille O'Neal for some reason. Halfway through our search, a staff member came by to see if we needed help or had questions. Really a plus to have such friendly and proactive workers in the store. My wife searched a bit more and finally settled on a pretty nice gaming chair with a modern look and excellent support. Another employee came over to transport the chair to our car and had a really great attitude about it. I have to say, the staff here was really good, far better than I expected. We had a good experience overall. Office Depot is obviously a great spot for all of your office needs. Four stars. read more

Everything was broken and no one was helpful at all. The lines were practically out the door for regular check out and the mob of people trying to ship or copy or print or do anything was also extremely unorganized and long. Walked in and after waiting 10 mins with no end of waiting in sight, i asked a question to make sure i was in the right line and was thrown attitude so I left upon realizing that I was indeed in the wrong line and where I was supposed to be in self print station out of 4 machines only 1 was up and running. read more

Was signed up for the rewards without knowing I was signing up. Before hitting accept I was told I would not be solicited. I was told I would not receive ANY promotional emails and it was strictly for the personal info needed for my rewards account I never asked for. I have received emails everyday about my purchase and offers since I've went. Educate your employees please. read more

This location is so frustrating. Went in to do some scans the blonde lady here is helping three customers at once. Two other employees helping people in line getting copy's. I'm done needed to get some supplies. Three employees roaming the store to help. I get to the cash register two employees "trying" to check out customers. Six people in line. 5min later still no movement as a cashier is looking up cartridges on her phone. I finally can't take it an longer and leave. I have been doing a bunch of scanning over the last few months and this is the 3rd time in a row walking out with out purchasing because of the line and no managers making an effort to do a damn thing about it. You wonder why you get killed from online ordering from other establishments. Get it together! read more

What's the hallmark Of a good franchise? Action in conformity with other like stores? Maybe, but for me it's going over and beyond what I expect from the brand. That's what this place delivers. I needed something specific for a client. With quick customer service, I discovered the store no longer carries the Item I needed. With quick action and a smile on his face, the manager hand made the Item for me with a few cuts on a machine in his printer department. This kind of customer service is a refreshing find in South Florida. He is the manager for good reason! I will be back. read more

I have been in this store twice. The first time they advertised a product on sale and went in the same day as advertised. They "claimed" to be out of stock. I asked if they would reorder and offer at the same sale price. The clerk had no clue and I had to tell her to ask the manager. The answer was no. Clearly just to get people in the store! I told the clerk to tell the manager that this is no way to run a store! Went in tonight, told a different clerk that I wanted to buy an office chair. She looked at me like I didn't speak English. When I asked again, she said someone would be over to help me. A male clerk came over and said that they didn't have any in stock other than the floor model. I asked if they would provide any discount, and he said No, that they would even have to charge me for assembly. I told him that this store sucked. I will NEVER go back in this store! read more

This store deserves no stars. Do not take your business here. This is not just based on one employees actions but multiple including Rain ( acting manager) Britni August ( Sales rep or cashier, Michelle ( print shop manager), and all of the print shop employees. I ordered a posted and prepaid online to have same day pickup. This is for my wedding at the end of the week. I received a confirmation email, number, confirmation number immediately after. I called the store around 3:00 pm and they could not find the order. They told me they would call me back. I never received a call so I decided to call back around 5:00 before they closed, I was passed around on the phone, only be told the person at the print shop was too busy to help me. Today, I called and after being passed around yet again, they finally found the right person who found my order. I called a little later on and they were in process of printing it to mount it. When my aunt went to pick up the poster board, the format was completely different. When we submitted the PDF online, we proofed everything, so not sure where the error occurred. Even with error in formatting, they brought out the board and said that they would have to remount it and she would have to wait because someone ran a pen through it. This was at 5:30 pm today. We were told to email the store the PDF and call and ask for Michelle the manager because she would be there until 9:00 pm. I just sent the email and called the store and spoke with Britney August. She told me I would have to call back and simply Michelle was just not at work today that she called out. I told her that I needed to speak to someone in printing, and she said that they were all too busy as well. I asked then to speak with the manager and they said the manager, Reign was too busy. Then another male picked up the phone and told me they wouldn't call me back but I could call back, because currently I have been on hold for 21 minutes. He had a lot attitude so I asked for his name, he said ugh I don't remember and once again placed me on hold. This has been one of the most miserable experiences with customer service. I will take my business to Kinko's and stay far away from this store. Not only are the employees ill equipped to handle any issues, but the managers as well. read more

I feel so bad for the people who work in the printing department here. Their systems seem to work against them. Twice I have had problems picking up an online order. The first time they could not find it; the second time they had not printed it, despite sending out an email saying that it was ready. I have switched to Fedex because of this. read more
