I have gone to this location 3 times. 2 out of those times a white man with glasses has assigned me and he has been rude and disrespectful. This last time was it for me when I asked him for help he rolled his eyes at me and told me to just go to self service, when I explained to him why I would not be using self service he rolled his eyes at me and when I told him "don't do that he rudely responded and said I can't control my face expressions he said it in a sassy way. The Print & Copy Center here is a complete mess.  Kate, and especially Stacey, are awfully incompetent and do not know what they are doing. I am no longer using Office Depot for my fax and print needs.  I've chosen to go to UPS from now on, and you should too. Stacey does not know how to execute and complete a simple fax, which is her job. When I complained calmly, she just stared at me and didn't say a single word. It was so unprofessional and pathetic. Kate, who is the manager, didn't do anything to help me either. She just told me to use the self serve fax, which did not go through successfully. I wasted $7 on a fax that didn't go through and a bunch of my time re-sending the same fax at UPS thanks to the Cedar Park Office Depot on Pecan. Please save yourself the headache & time and do all your faxing, printing, etc. at the Cedar Park UPS! They are so much better and saved the day!!! read more

So much could be said about my recent experience at this location- bottom line more training is needed in the areas of training in the copy center and managers customer service skills! Secondly the manager on duty needs to learn how to listen to the customer. Placing an order you expect it to be done on time and I showed up a day later then it was due. Should have been boxed and ready to go and if it wasn't I should've been called and I was not Why wasn't it ready? Why wasn't I called ? Then the manager said to me"You don't need to tell me your story I heard it when you told her " " When another customer was waiting the entire time and said to her looks like you need me more employees she didn't said we don't need more employees she is just causing an issue " this was being said about me to a customer who watched them go back and forth back and forth back and forth making a simple 8x10 copy In fact the lady she said that too was a local real estate agent who I had had a conversation with and couldn't also believe the dysfunction and an un organized Copy center Having to wait 1.5 hours to help you do the order is not what I call great service. I am paying you to do this for me... When the first contact takes and scans an item wrong (again training issue ) this created a cluster of issues. But no call or communication to the customer is the biggest issue I have! Bottom line this copy center I can't depend on! Lacks in training ! Lacks in customer service ! And lacks in respecting and valuing my time as I had to wait for a job to be completed! As I tried to bring this up to the manager when they then tried to charge me for a personal copy service charge UMM no you all scanned my originals wrong if you wouldn't have done that none of this sizing would have needed to be done. To try to explain this and cut off in explaining this by "just give her half off her order so we can be done with her ". WOW! I literally have never been treated so disrespected when I am paying you to do a service for me!! I will not be returning for any service or business with this company. This is sad as I have always had a good experience but this was just to much ! My scanner at home was not working properly and I had some docs to send to my financial advisor. I read that OfficeMax had copier services and thought maybe they do scanning also. Yeah, They did. Perfect! Upon walking in, the Office Service area is directly to the right. Two customers in front of me, one being serviced and the second waiting. Two minutes later and I was the only one there. I asked if they do scanning and indeed they do. They can scan to a thumb drive or email you the doc. I choose the email so I didn't have to buy a thumb drive. Savings of $5.00. Handed over the papers (6 pages) for scanning. The gentleman helping me was quick, handed back the papers and spun the monitor and keyboard toward me so I could type in my email. He confirmed it was sent and directed me to the other side to pay. When he told me it was $1.50 plus tax I was floored how cheap it was. I was expecting to pay at least $3. It was only .25 per page. I was in and out in under 5 minutes for cheap. Plus the two behind the counter had a great sense of humor. read more

I wrote a review about this place a while back, but for some reason I can't find it. I did post pictures showing how dirty the floor was. In my review I commented on the lack of customer service as general cleanliness of the store. It honestly looked like they were closing the store and didn't care about how it appeared. I went back today and it looks as though they have really started to put some effort into this place. The customer service was very good and the store was clean and well-organized. I visit here mostly for the copy shop. Sometimes I want to patronize other copy shops, but this place always seems to pull me back. Why? They can do pretty much anything more or less. For example, once I needed to print book spine labels for a 106 page book and for some reason this seemed nearly impossible to do anywhere else, but Office Max could do it at a bargain price. They are super flexible and offer you many options for your copy needs. Office Max's copying always seems reasonable to the point I almost feel guilty for paying under a dollar for some service that makes a huge difference for me. Helpful employees. Perhaps best of all, the copy shop employees don't pass judgement on my projects. Indeed, something keeps pulling me back to Office Max! read more

I was in finals and needed some place to print me a 20" x 30" colored print on glossy paper. I had stopped and called a few places and they were all $60+...for a piece of paper... Apparently that's average, but as a student, on a student budget, $60 for a piece of paper is....well...dumb. So I called good ol' Office Max. It just so happens they had a special running that day to print a 24" x 36" colored copy on gloss poster board paper for $14.99. RIGHT ON, that is what I'm talking about. They have computers with the appropriate software I needed, Illustrator. She let me tweak a few things, did partial prints and when I wasn't sold on the color we re-did it a few times. Then it came out right. I was stoked on how it looked in real life-new concept for me using illustrator and then seeing a large, in person print of it. I took it home to go mount it-used spray glue and F'd it up. Note to self: Spray glue on anything larger than 11" x 14" and trying to mount it on foam core with no bubbles or glue smudges isn't likely to come out well. I had spray glue on it and bubbles galore. After I threw my fit...and my board across the room. I had just enough time to zip back over to Office Max and get it done right which I should have done the first time around. Lesson learned. They can cut, mount and laminate it for you for about $15 more...plus the $14.99. which brought my total to $35 something. Which is still way cheaper than $60. It came out really nice and professional. I was proud of it. I also asked the guy about a million questions about the boards they use and tricks I can personally do at home to not screw myself over again. Love this place and will use them often. BTW I do believe when the special is not going on to have a 20" x 30" colored copy on gloss poster board printed is around $35-45...not bad considering the alternatives. read more

Worst retail experience I've had in a while! I went in Friday a.m. to place an order advertised as "same day delivery," but upon checkout they found the materials weren't there. A person then promised to go to another store and have the order ready by end of day. I called at 7pm and not only wasn't the order ready but they ad LOST THE ORDER. I went over to complain to the mgr and get a refund, but he found the order (in literally under a minute) and promised it'd be ready the next day with the newly arrived materials. I called Saturday noon and had to wait nearly twenty minutes on hold before they told me they STILL didn't have the materials. When I said I wanted the order cancelled, they told me to CALL BACK as the people at the photo/sign area couldn't do refunds. Adding to the nonsense: The person at the photo/sign area kept telling me the charge was twenty-nineteen. It was actually twenty-nine ten. She didn't understand the difference. read more

The employees here are completely useless. I called to ask a very simple but very specific question about the services they offer in their shipping center. They put me on hold for three minutes and then said yes, they do offer that specific service. I drove there only to find that no, they absolutely do not. We were shopping for some unique products. The staff member wandering the store was wonderfully helpful in helping us locate what we needed. The only item in the color we wanted was scratched, so we got 10% off. At the register, the cashier had to use a calculator (for quite a few seconds) to calculate the 10% discount. As we were leaving, I looked at the receipt and realized he /still/ didn't get it right. Don't they teach math in school anymore? I guess moving the decimal one place to figure 10% wasn't on the TAKS test. ;) Still, he was super-nice. read more

It is unfortunate that you go in to a store(as someone needing to conserve money right now for numerous reasons) trying to use fax services to send off 29 pages and not be told anything about the cost of about over $1.67/page for a total of $54.00 to use a fax. This was really important information for me and should have been said up front for a cost that was pure profit for the store and a way to screw the customer. I thought it would be around the same price as a copy item and I wasn't just faxing 4 pages. It was a complete surprise and the manager didn't care when I went back in a asked. Shame on you OD, because you know that this was a way to take advantage of the customer and that cost doesn't make sense for the service. I would have not done it and faxed from home if I would have been told based on the large stack of papers to an insurance company. Poor form by a company during a difficult time, a store that didn't care, and a business that is completely out of line on pricing. read more

I have been working with a relator recently and often have to stop in for her. The staff is very helpful and the guys in the copy center are always willing to help with any flyers or business card needs I have. I bought a filing cabinet from here and it was delivered damaged 3 times! The ordering part of the company (1-800 service) was not helpful. I decided to call the local manager and see if he could help. He (Asst. Mgr.) was awesome! He searched for the cabinet locally and drove out to pick it up himself. I was really impressed with his level of service and desire to make amends for the shipping nightmares. I'll be back to do more shopping there! read more

Bought an office chair during Black Friday, box was damaged but employee said no problem, they come that way all the time. I take it home and open it.....there's a problem. I return the next day with the one part that is broken (5-spoke wheel base), requesting they open another box and swap it out since no other parts were damaged. STORE MANAGER absolutely positively flat-out refuses to do so saying it is against policy. When informed that he has a choice of me returning the entire sale or just simply getting me the item from another box because if I have to go all the way back to the house and load it all back in just to bring it back for one part..... he re-iterated corporate line, "no will do". When I observed that he WAS store manager and he had the power to make it right for the customer and then take the heat for it later, he still refused to do so. Geez, how much of a nitwit can this guy be? So, I'll take it back tomorrow and they can kiss my ass all they want but it will be a refund and I will buy a new office chair somewhere else, even if I have to pay more, somewhere that actually KNOWS and PRACTICES customer service. read more

Needed a Cable Router.Bought it at this Office MAX. Sales lady said if any problem bring it back "No Problem".Did not work. Took it back for a refund. Sales person tells me I can return it but have to pay a "RESTOCK Fee. 15%.. Told him I was never informed of that Policy. Asked to see where it was posted..He tells me it was on the Box when I purchased it. I said Show me..Opps sales person forgot to put it on the box. I said You made the mistake. He said your problem. Want a refund.. pay the 15 %. Told him you will lose a "Good Customer". He could care less. Got the refund --minus - the 15%..Never going back to this store..Will go to WalMart and Office Depot where they treat you as a good customer and want my business. I took my final project for my Master's degree to be copied and bound. The project being due on Wednesday I came in on Sunday and asked if what I needed would be done on time, I was told I would have it Tuesday, 12pm on Wednesday at the VERY latest. I came in on Wednesday to collect my bound project...the inept employee who PROMISED it would be done never sent my order! I was left scrambling to find somewhere else that could get it done with almost no turn around time. He put my grade in jeopardy as this will ruin my 4.0 should my professor not give any leniency due to the circumstance. I will never trust office depot with a deadline again. read more

The store in general is fine and I love it for school supplies as well. The printing/copy service has repeatedly made me feel that they are inconvenienced by me being there. No ridiculous requests on my part. I always write nice reviews, however this time I said I'd go somewhere else, then decided to write this review. Sunday afternoon at 2:00om. They are not busy. I said a needed a couple of self inking address stamps made. She responds by saying "I can't make three today". I said I only needed two. She had no reply. I said can you make two?, she said "I can make one today and you can come back tomorrow and have the other one made". ??? (The last time I did have good service in that department was when I had a stamper made, took ten minutes total, I was so impressed) So why can she not make two? Or even say, "I'm sorry, I only have time to make one today"?? The woman making an enlarged copy for the person next to me was pretty crabby to them as well. It was like a bad day at the post office or something. So I will no longer ever bother you again, people in the print/copy department. However please notify me if and when you ever decide to implement customer service skills to your employees. I'm willing to try again. After working for years as a hairdresser, serving customers, maybe I'm being too critical. But repeatedly getting crabby service/ no service?... A helpful employee got the boxes for me, had them waiting at the counter, then loaded them in my car as well. I have been using copy and print services businesses since the very first Kinkos in Isla Vista, CA. Over the years, I have dealt with both the best and the worst that the copy and print industry has to offer. My experience at this particular OfficeMax location rates right up at the top. All of the staff there is very knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. However, there are two employees who make each visit an absolute joy. So much so, that I have many times driven past three or more printing places (even other OfficeMax stores) to get the high quality and friendly service offered by Ruth and Seth. When I returned for my second visit, not only did they both remember my name, they also remembered the nature of my business and the work I had done in the past. Regardless of whether my project is simple or complicated, they both go out of their way to ensure that the final product meets my expectations perfectly. There are very few business encounters which I would describe as a joy. Thanks to Ruth and Seth, every visit is an absolute joy and I always look forward to my next visit. read more

I ordered something for online pickup. I received a call saying they didn't have the item, but said they were holding similar ones for me to look at. I went there and they did have what I wanted, but it was a different color. The store had already credit back my employer's card before my arrival. When we tried to order it online again it then said they were out of stock. Now I know you're wondering why I have given them 5 Stars. It was because the employee went out of their way to help me and make my experience a positive one. They know how to treat their customers fairly. Horrible customer service and prices. They made some of copies for me, but I forgot to ask them to hole punch them. When I went back a day later to explain that I had forgotten to ask them to hole punch, they went ahead and hole punched all 50 of my pages in one quick motion. I assumed it would be a courtesy...all I needed was one quick hole punch as an afterthought to my order. I started to walk away, not realizing I was expected to pay. Mackenzie rudely and condescendingly said "ok, have a nice day?". I realized right then that I was expected to pay. I said I would need to run out to my car to get my wallet because I didn't realize there would be a charge. She said "ok" (again, I assumed she would say not to worry about it). My 4 year old and I traipsed out to the car to get the wallet, and came back to pay for what I thought would be a less than .50 cent charge. Uh, no, it was over $4.50 to hole punch some papers that took her all of 10 seconds to do. I should be mad at myself for not asking how much it would cost in advance, because obviously I would not have paid that much for a dang hole punch! I will gladly take my hole punching and all other office needs elsewhere! There's a Fed Ex Kinko's a block away that's about to get some business. read more

Last time I was in, I presented a coupon to get a discount on printer cartridges....I buy enough there to pay their wages...the cashier said the coupon "had already been used" which it had not.. I'd been in a month before to buy cartridges and not again till mine ran out....and the coupon came via email the day before I presented it....a manager(?) fiddled in the computer then told the register to take a discount, but the cashier argued that the coupon had been "used" as the computer "showed a zero balance"....and refused with an attitude that said he thought I was lying....I had bought stuff I did not need to get the $75 required to get the $25 discount so I ended up ripped off and mad......I will go back to Office Depot where they bend over backward to be polite. There is one is Cedar Park now where the old Albertsons used to be. read more

The staff were not very involved with the costumers. I had my computer analyzed and I waited almost an hour with no updates on the process and had to ask about it. When I did ask they told me they could not do anything and tried to sell me the most expensive way to fix it when there were obviously cheaper ways to help me out. read more

I went to office max tonight, needing to print a file. When I got there, the man who was working at IMPRESS(the printing section), put my flashdrive in the computer and opened the file. The size I wanted was not one that was available so I went to the back to go look for one that I could buy. Unable to find the size I wanted, I went back told the worker that I would go ahead and print with a smaller size that was already available. He told me to wait, and so I did, half an hour later before closing, and 2 other people helped, I was still polity and patiently waiting, and in return I was told that he didn't have time to help me and that I should go to FedEx Office (Kinkos) and if I had a problem, I should go speak to the manager. Absolutely shocked my the service I had just received considering I am a loyal customer, I immediately went to the counter and waited for the manager. 7 minuted later, as I was growing impatient I went and looked for him, because the cashier paged the manager several times to get the manager to come without success. Much to my shock I saw the manager hiding in the middle of the store, in an attempt to avoid handling the situation! I then informed him about the issue, and he was completely unhelpful and he didn't really care. He told me that since the store was closing, he couldn't do anything about it and that it was my problem. I was completely frustrated and every time I said anything he would simply just stand there and say that he can't do anything. Finally the worker that originally refused to do the work decided to do it, and the manager simply left. In the end, the worker apologized but the manager never did. I am still shocked at this incident and I don't plan on returning to Office Max again. read more
