This donut place not only smells delicious but is delicious. They have a variety of donuts to include some unique ones. For instance, for a limited time they have a Homer donut. My kids and I had to try this and it was everything my 10-year-old mind thought it would be (dreams do come true!). Overall, good donuts and great service. Enjoy.

Absolutely amazing donuts, just what you need before catching your train. The staff are super friendly and suggested their favorites. They have so many amazing flavors, even having a good selection of vegan versions.

I recently had a chance to stop by Offbeat on my way to the train heading out of Dublin. Visiting from the US and we have some excellent donut choices, especially when they're smaller independent shops. Those are where the good donuts are, in the states anyhow. But the options at Offbeat were amazing, the choices, satisfying beyond compare. I have dietary restrictions for dairy and their vegan option was far beyond acceptable. I was glad to have stopped by. In addition they make really, really good coffee there as well. Worth a stop by in my opinion, I'd go back again when I'm in town.

The one thing we did not need at the end of our first full day in Dublin were donuts. But, at some point during the day - after one too many pints, I'm sure - I'd convinced myself and my husband that I'd invented a new game for us while traveling: The Donut Dawdle. This was inspired the sheer number of donut shops we passed while wandering the city streets. We were full. We were tipsy. We were tired. We were on our way back to the train station when we passed by the open Offbeat Donut and thought, "I surely can't shove another thing into my gullet...let's get some donuts!" Stepping into the small storefront, we stood staring at the display, mentally calculating which donuts would be best to consume. I decided on the Caramel Crumble, and my husband went with the Lemon Meringue (shocking me completely; he's not typically a citrus guy, and usually shuns tart items that aren't cherries.) We stepped up to place our order, and the girl at the counter told us it'd only be one Euro more to get a third donut. My husband glanced at me, and we silently agreed that it only made fiscal sense to get the third donut; the Nutella Ring swiftly landed inside the box, to be carried from train station to train station to hotel room. We made it through two of the donuts that night. My husband again surprised me by not only devouring the Meringue donut, but by giving it high praise along the way. He said that lemon meringue wasn't overly tart, and that the donut itself had a nice light, flaky texture to it. My Caramel Crumble, meanwhile, was busy living up to its name. One bite in, the thing started to fall apart. In fact, my husband took a picture of me and the donut as I was mid-bite, and you can see a giant glob of the Biscoff spread sitting on top of the napkin in my outstretched hand. The donut was good - I loved the texture of the dough and the fact that the filling wasn't too sweet - but I did end up losing (and tossing) most of the Biscoff filling. It was too much for one donut, and I didn't feel like popping a pile of pudding into my face once the donut itself was gone. The Nutella Ring was safely stored for an early-morning consumption; we shared it before heading out to breakfast the next day. This donut was probably my favorite, mostly because it was the least "fussy" of the three. And by that I mean it didn't have a filling that fell out of the middle as I was trying to consume it. The Nutella flavor mixed well with the large chocolate flakes, and even though it was a day old at that point, it still felt fresh and soft when we took a bite. This was the first of three donut shops we stopped at during our five-day stay in Dublin, and it turned out to be our favorite. We had planned on grabbing a few more before leaving, but never made that happen.

On my first morning in Dublin, I knew I would need to get my hands on some donuts. I saw the Offbeat Donut sign hanging outside and I knew this was the place. I ordered the unicorn donut and oh my god. This was the best donut I've ever had and as a donut lover, that's saying something. The dough was a perfect texture, not light and airy like a donut in the states, but more dense but just as satisfying if not more so. Hands down, amazing. Then, I decided to get another one that evening as a snack and because I love chocolate and peanut butter, I opted for the chocolate peanut butter filled donut. I had such high hopes for this donut after the first one but it was utterly disappointing. The donut was very dry and there was little to no peanut butter filling. I would not recommend it at all, 3 stars at best. But, the first donut was so good that I would still recommend this place as a whole, definitely make it a stop. But maybe skip the filled donuts.

Did not disappoint! We had the Raspberry and the Peanut Butter Chocolate Donuts. They are definitely rich. I suggest getting a water, or bringing water with you.

Pros: -Lots of fun flavors! -Fun storefront/decor with vibrant pink and clear glass behind the counter that allows patrons to see the donut-making magic! -- Classic Glazed Airy and melts in your mouth! My favorite of the three. Smore's Stunning looking, but missing much graham cracker flavor and the only chocolate component I tasted was a subtle note of Nutella. Creme Brûlée Met expectations by delivering a delightful crunch on the outside and tasty cream filling. I'd certainly come again to try their only available cake donut option--Red Velvet!

Oscar Wilde said: "Between the optimist and the pessimist, the difference is droll... The optimist sees the doughnut, the pessimist the hole." When Jamie W. found our accommodation on the outskirts of Dublin, I'm sure he wasn't aware that we would be taking a major commuter train to Pearse station, the busiest railway stop in Ireland, in order to get into town. But by, say, Tokyo standards, the Irish notion of "rush hour" just means people stood up for a couple of stops before getting off. That was at least our experience the three days we were there. Just as you walk out of the station toward Trinity College, it's hard to miss the Offbeat Donuts stand to the right where all their bright creations are proudly on display (photo: http://bit.ly/2if0PDB). Despite Jamie's disapproving glare, I felt a need to try one, so I went for the Coffee Slice for €2, the price of all the donuts baked that day. It was a cake donut made of wheat flour and likely chewier than I preferred. It was covered in a coffee glaze and then half-covered with creamy white chocolate curls (photo: http://bit.ly/2i4tN9z). We walked over to Merrion Square where Oscar Wilde's statue resides, to find a bench where we could inspect the donut with a critical eye. Truth be told, I probably could have gone for a plain old-fashioned as I'm not big on the decorative aspects since it was to be devoured momentarily. It was. DONUT - 3 stars...spoiled by American riches in this area, I suppose AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...cute spot but you need to take it to go SERVICE - 3 stars...well, they just pick it up with tongs and put it in a bag TOTAL - 3 stars...perfectly placed spot for a donut you don't really need

These were delicious donuts! They had a variety of different kinds and I always have trouble choosing so my husband and I got a 6 box . I always go for the chocolatey kind which was a good choice, especially the chocolate hazelnut ones. They are also light so don't make you feel weighed down after eating a donut. I'm sure any of the flavors are great! read more

This was the only place open really late to eat after going to the Temple bar for drinks. I had the red velvet donut with cream cheese icing split in two. There is also an ice cream shop that is inside the same building, therefore, if you're daring you can make yourself an ice cream donut sandwich. Good customer service and very reasonable prices. No seating, therefore, this is a grab and go situation. No different than the donut shops in Vancouver. It was just nice to be able to have a Guinness and donut at the same time. read more

I did not know donuts were a thing til we arrived... t'was pleased to find such delicious looking donuts everywhere, especially at Offbeat! That said we went in the afternoon and things weren't particularly fresh, so maybe that's a big factor. The raised glazed, raised chocolate sprinkles, and raised red velvet all had potential, sadly we didn't make a morning visit... read more

Ordered a dozen donuts online from across the pond as a gift.. the ordering process was smooth and even though we didn't get to try one, they looked AMAZING!! There are donuts and then there are DONUTS. Offbeat is more of the donuts. They have more unique specialty flavors than basic donuts. That is what attracted me when I walked by. I got the chocolate ganache. It was good, not great. I little more dense than I like my donuts. The staff was very nice and friendly. read more

Came across the Offbeat donuts today for the first time after seeing so many photos online, so I jumped for the chance to buy one (even if I was just coming back from the gym), and my god it did not disappoint! Hands down one of the best donuts experience I have had! Can not rave about this place more, and the selection they have is great, I certainly will be coming back for more to try the different selections, as my stomach could only hack one at a time read more

You know the moment a place with amazing doughnuts opens right across the street from your workplace, you will have to take on running or some other sport to keep your figure I'm guilty of going there at least once a week. The doughnuts are so fresh, sometimes still warm... you think you want just one but you may want to reconsider and just get the box of three... lemon meringue and Ferrero are my absolute favourites! read more

After about a year of deliberation I think I can say that Offbeat is my favourite doughnut chain in Dublin. The key here is simplicity. Compared to its competitors, Offbeat doesn't have too much going on - in a good way. You typically get a doughnut with one or maybe, God forbid, two whole toppings. Thankfully they're fresh and amazingly tasty no matter what you decide on. Another aspect is the price. Although not a huge difference, Offbeat is a tad cheaper than its competitors around town which I'm sure continually draws people in. You just can't beat any three doughnuts for 6 Euro. This place has slowly become my go-to doughnut hub when I'm in the area, so much so that our group of friends use this as the meeting place to grab a quick doughnut before heading elsewhere in the city. read more

So delicious. We got the s'mores, raspberry, peanut butter cup, and red velvet. The only bummer is that the s'mores was supposed to filled with marshmallow creme, but mine wasn't. It was pretty dry without but the raspberry was tremendous. Heading back tomorrow to try the lemon meringue because they were out. Friendly clerks, nice location. read more

Quick stop to grab some yummy doughnuts and walk on to the train or to the park as we did. Over all Pretty good really fresh doughnuts. Price was 3 for 7 euro, cant beat that price. We didn't eat one of them saved it for the whole day and ate it at night and still tasted just as fresh. read more

So, these were brought to a function I was at, so don't know about the ambiance or anything like that. But, the delicious donuts were enough to speak on their own. I had (half) the Oreo donut, which apparently to my Irish friends, was a very American choice. Notwithstanding, it was delightful. Somehow they managed to get icing to taste exactly like the Oreo filling, and just pumped that donut full of it. There were other options like Creme Brûlée which I did not get to try, but thankfully I know where to get in the future! read more

Caved and had a bueno bueno donut and it - surprise! - has a couple pieces of Kinder Bueno on top of it. Even though I bought the donut later in the day (around 6 or 7pm) it was fresh and delish. Pretty good prices, too. read more

OMG that is all I can say. The donuts here are AMAZING! I have tried the boston creme, the rich chocolate ganache and my favourite the lemon meringue. I honestly wish this place was closer to me as I would be in there every day (actually it's probably a good thing it's not! !) We "smelled" our way this place on the way to Trinity Science expo on Pearse Street. and decided to try it. It's actually a part of Pearse Street train station so you can't miss it. We were thrilled to see that all doughnuts are baked and decorated on site. We chose cookies and cream and apple crumble doughnuts with two lattes. Amazing! So we bought six more and will return. Had to stop by Offbeat today after being plagued with pictures by my friends. Excellent selection of baked goods, displayed in an utterly mouthwatering fashion. I have now tried the ferrero rocher, oreo and apple crumble (all delicious, but oreo really stealing the show to be honest). Can't wait to try more of the selection. Only critique is that the coffee machine in the store isn't the most amazing, and for someone who loves a coffee with her donut; this was a blow. read more

Off Beat Donuts are delicious! Also, the folks who work there are kind and caring. My friend mistakenly ordered a mocha with cow's milk instead of a mocha with soya milk for me, and the server replaced it for her free of charge. When my friend was leaving the shop with all our luggage in tow to meet me in the car, another employee carried her donuts out for her. These folks are thoughtful, generous, and make some mouth-watering donuts -- what more could you possibly want? read more

Oh my god offbeat. I'm a donut addict and curse every day that we don't have Dunken or Krispy Kreme (or a proper Tim Hortons, don't get me started on the crap in spar) but offbeat really is worth a visit. The simple glazed donut is the closest thing to a crueler I have had in eons and the rainbow sprinkle is fun in gooey delicious food form. I am not ashamed to admit I have driven across the city in rush hour for these and if I commuted on the dart I would probably come up with an excuse to get off there! They deliver within the city centre and have so many options you cannot get less than half dozen (for yourself!). read more

OMG! the Donuts in here are lovely. I am not a Donut person as I always find them too heavy and stodgy but these are really light. They have loads of different fillings, I have tried 2, the Nutella Ring and the Ferrero Rocher donut. They are gorgeous. I work right beside this place so its going to be hard to resist. It also sold out on Friday so get in early to get them. read more

Hello, and welcome to your new addiction. I'm no donut fanatic, so to me, the eleventy billion different types of donuts are overwhelming. But let me tell you why this place is your new go-to spot: the people. They're not edible and that's not where this review is going. Their donuts are really good and I recommend, sure. But I've been having an awful week. Truthfully, it's been a really hard few months, and today I was just at a real low. I figured I would get myself a donut on my way to the office, so I walked in. Everyone was all smiles, like they normally are. "How are you?" she asked. "Not great," I said. "I'm just getting a donut to cheer myself up." "Then this one is on me, and I hope it makes your day brighter!" she said with an authentic, sympathetic smile. The staff there could have just nodded their heads and taken my money and I never would have thought anything of it. But they didn't. They made me smile, and they're really good people. So, support them. Buy their donuts because they have weird options but great staff, and donuts are better when they're from good people. read more

We visited Dublin for 5.5 days and went to the Georges Quay shop six times. The donuts are so fresh, and so satisfying, and so varied that each day was a new pleasure. The people behind the counter were a joy and the coffee was rich and fabulous. Dublin is wonderful but Offbeat Donuts on Georges Quay is amazing. read more

Let's start off by saying the location is not the best. But, the doughnut I had (a Boston cream) was perfect. Although the cream tasted like cream, it didn't look like cream. The staff was polite but quiet. My favorite part was looking at the staff making the doughnuts right in from of my eyes. read more

Incredible donuts!! I got 3: S'mores, Red Velvet Cream, and Hazelnut. All were delicious and bought for a great price. I wasn't a huge fan of donuts until I can to Dublin for the summer and Off Beat changed my mind! I'm always craving their donuts. And the people are nice too :) read more

Visiting from Dallas. The food in Dublin is very good generally but this place does amazing donuts. It's just behind Trinity in the train station so a perfect place to visit after the Book of Kells. Then walk up to Merion Square and enjoy. Get there early. They sell out. read more

I quite liked the orange. I wanted to get a matcha to go, but they said they didn't have disposable cups. You could buy a 5 euro reusable one and then if you brought it back you'd get a refund... interesting, but I was leaving that day and wouldn't be back in the area. I can't speak to the ambiance because we were in and out, but it looked like they had a decent amount of space. All in all, I would recommend this place! For me it was a 4, but I'm sure for some it would bop up to a 5.

I popped in for a quick snack but I left having experienced the most exquisite donut in all of Dublin. It started off with me being astonished by the exterior of the store as it was absolutely remarkable, I was intrigued so I walked in and peered over at the donut display that was teasing me. I locked eyes with the most mouth-watering dessert, the chocolate donut. I convinced myself that I could spare the 5 EURO and delightedly bought the dessert. Before I knew it I finished the donut. I could hardly remember the experience as the donut was no match for my appetite and I devoured it in a matter of minutes with my trusty companion, coffee. it's a decent donut but the owner/management is up their own ass. They are notorious for taking on many 'girls' for full trial shits without paying them . Stupidly and ignorantly I took on one of these trial shifts before hearing about their reputation. At least three girls told me about sexist nature within the company ranging from 'the managers only hire the girls they fancy' to the owner asking me 'am i good at flirting, it helps if you can flirt' in my introduction day. Needless to say the fattening product for me is not worth it after this experience. Taking from student's and young people's pocket is disgusting. read more

Myself and a colleague got a box to share in work We got a box of 12 different donuts from their range €24 , which you can pick yourself or let them recommend to you. Some of ours included Apple Crumble, Oreo Cookie Crème, Lemon Meringue, Crème Brûlée, Cream Filled Red Velvet and a whole bunch more.
