Shrimp Tacos - 7.9/10

Rating: (4.2/5) Loved this place! Off The Hook has an awesome location right on the lake with beautiful views--perfect for outdoor dining. We sat outside and had great service; the staff were super friendly, fun, and welcoming. We started with onion rings and mozzarella sticks for appetizers--both were solid choices. I ordered the shrimp tacos, and they were a standout. The flavor was spot on, and I really enjoyed the flour and corn shell combo--a nice touch that made them even better. Highly recommend the tacos! Looking forward to coming back and trying the burgers next time. Great food, great atmosphere, and an overall laid-back lakeside experience.

Ahi Tuna Appetizer

What a hidden gem in Jefferson City! They were busy on a Saturday night, but took our order quickly and the food came out fast too. The Ahi Tuna appetizer was delicious, and the Mahi Mahi tacos were just as good. The Key Lime Pie was just okay, but everything is priced really well. Plus, it overlooks the marina and has tons of TVs, great atmosphere overall.

Grilled mahi mahi tacos

Great food and great service along a beautiful lake! Our waitress was great and took good care of us, I wish that I would have gotten her name! We had a group of seven, she quickly delivered our drinks and took our orders. I ordered the calamari as an appetizer and the mahi mahi tacos. The calamari tasted great and were covered with a light batter. The tacos were very flavorful, they had a light slaw on top and a nice spicy mayo.

Delicious food, great outdoor dining space and a lovely view of the boats and lake. Very enjoyable meal which was so good we all forgot to take photos. Shrimp po boy and fish and chips were our favorites!

Dana was a fabulous waitress!…read more The food was AMAZING!! I'm so so full! Drinks were spot on! Hands down I vote this resturant amazing!

My husband and I have been here many times and we've loved it each time. Today, on Mother's Day, my…read morehusband wasn't feeling great so my ten year old son "brought" me for Mother's Day. It was more packed than I had ever seen (I'm guessing due to the holiday). We got there and were told 35-45 minutes and given a beeper. We went to sit in the car since there wasn't really anywhere else to sit. Working five minutes of getting to the car the beeper went off so we shut the car off, got out, locked it and went through parking to the front hostess area. They looked at the beeper and the list and told us they made a mistake so back to the car we went. About 30 minutes later the beeper went off and we were seated near the bar in the last booth by where everyone goes in and out of the bar. Or waited came out and took our drink order and my son had noticed the shark bite cocktail so we asked if they could make a virgin drink. It was horrible. So sweet he couldn't drink it at all. I tried it and agreed. It tasted like a slightly tart sugar water. We didn't complain because we did ask for the drink. Then we ordered our meals. My son got the Gator plate with fries which was perfect and he loves. I ordered 1 1/2 lbs of snow crab legs in a garlic butter sauce (which amounts to 3 clusters). It came with three sides since I ordered an extra half pound. Potatoes, corn and sausage. The seafood bread was amazing! If you go make sure to try it!!! Our meals were brought out. As I mentioned my sons was perfect. I noticed mine wasn't as hot as usual and figured as busy as they were it sat for a bit longer before being brought to the table. I've been eating crab all my life so I'm not new to how to eat it or remove the shells to get to the meat. As I carefully tried to snap the shells, they weren't breaking as they should and there was no getting any meat at all from the first two smaller sections. In the larger sections they wouldn't crack. Tried to use the metal crackers but it just squished it. I used the plastic tool which didn't work ands then used the metal fork. The meat wouldn't come out. It was completely stuck to the inside of the shell where I had to scrape it out with my fingernails. The claws were just add bad. I still kept trying while waiting on the waitress. When she got there I asked how they were cooked and she told me boiled in extremely hot water with fire. I told her what was going on so she went and got gloves and started trying to break my crab open. She wasn't able to get them out either so she went and told the manager. By that time I was done messing with them. He came over and I again explained what was going on. He offered me more cream or a discount. I should've taken the crab and brought them home but I chose the discount. I bagged up the two clusters to bring home to attempt to finish cooking them in hopes they'd be edible. When I got the bill, $7.00 was talked off for over $55 of crab. I felt extremely insulted. That didn't even cover my son's horrible drink but was supposed to make my Mother's Day meal better? We really loved this place but now I don't know if I'll go back. I'm not one of those people that complains all the time. I'm pretty sure if my husband was with me we wouldn't have gotten treated like that. Just an update, I steamed the legs and they came out perfect! I wish I had brought the rest home and just did it myself but since I paid for cooked crab legs I figured that's what I was going to get.

Service was outstanding and with personal, funny attention from Brent. Time to eat (for slow…read moreeaters) was cheerfully allowed. The food was outstanding. Rich, flavorful, delicious. It's our first anniversary (yes, we're 76 yo but not dead yet) and we're treated to a delicious dessert. I don't eat desserts, ever, but.... . If you ever are anywhere near Gatlinburg, make a beeline to Chesapeake. Best choice EVER!!!

My family came here for my birthday and I was very impressed with how well they accommodated us. We…read moretried to book ahead of time because we know things fill up during the holidays as well as it being a weekend. Unfortunately we got our days mixed up and our reservation was the following day. However the hostess told us it was not an issue and still seated us right away moving our booking to the correct day. The food came out in a timely manner and our server was very helpful as well. I ordered the seafood lasagna and it was very flavorful. Personally if I were to come back, I'd order another dish that was more filling. The server raved about how good it was and she was correct. It did have a lot of flavor to it. However it lacked seafood in the shells. At some points, I felt as though I was only eating shells and sauce with tomatoes unfortunately. Upon finishing our meal, unfortunately my father became ill after sipping water and going down the wrong pipe. We were so embarrassed seeing as though we were sitting in the middle of everyone dining. However the staff were so kind resulting us that it wasn't the first and dropping everything they were doing to tend to us with wet napkins and checking on my father. While we were deeply embarrassed, it really meant a lot to us that you all made us your priority in that moment and I greatly appreciate you alls service!
