Homemade "hand battered" onion rings need A Lot More Practice!! Not cooked long enough and definitely need to let the grease drain before you dump into a container without any air holes! 40 bucks for just 2 onion rings, 2 burgers and 2 sprites! You would think they would try a little more... Not even worth 20 bucks if you ask me. Wasted there money on a HUGE BILLBOARD LOL! That's another restaurants onion rings on that billboard! My order was promptly taken and I didn't wait but two minutes for my food--pretty impressive! I ordered the Off the Hook salad and added shrimp. I thought the price to add a handful of grilled shrimp was too much. While the salad was good, there was nothing amazing. The blackened rank dressing was a nice addition to the salad. The red beans are labeled as creamy and there was nothing creamy about them! I was very disappointed in the beans. They had a strong plastic smell and taste. I do not recommend the beans. I would try Off the Hook again but order something different. read more

This was my second time going. I was in the mood for seafood, but at night and I didn't want to dine in, so the drive-thru option was perfect for what I needed. Glad I was 2nd in line as it was being cooked fresh. Several cars pulled in after me and had to wait to order. Much better than the first time I went. I ordered the shrimp & catfish basket. The first time they put only catfish and it was 3 of the tiniest nubs of fish - really appeared to be catfish nuggets. I would have been pissed to pay for only that. They had to correct the order and add the shrimp. It was all good, just annoying and the size of the fish disappointing. This go around I had 3 nicely sized catfish fillets, plump shrimp, hot fries.... They just forgot the lemon wedge. Oh well. It was still all good and worth the wait read more

My first visit here, just out of curiosity when I saw how busy they were. The shrimp po boy was perfect. As good as I've ever had, but not a large portion. The chicken and sausage gumbo was outstanding and easily on par with the 'gold standard' C&SG at Bon Creole Lunch Counter in New Iberia. ok, so to start things off, i didn't go inside and look at the place, i just did pickup, but the outside is pretty cool. as soon as i got there, they took my order, it was great, it was fast. i know the slogan is "Real Cajun Real Fast" but it wasn't fast at all. thank goodness i wasn't in a rush to go anywhere. it took a while for them to serve the guy in front of us and it took them like 3 minutes longer for me. it was almost like none of the food was ready made. although i loved that it was nice and hot when we got it. as always, the food SLAPPED. i got a kids meal jumbo tender meal. it came with, obviously, 2 big tenders, 2 hush puppies, and fries. the fries were so seasoned and perfected. me personally, i like sweet cornbread tasting hush puppies. these were salty. not sure if it was because of the fries or not considering they were under the fries and tenders, but it started salty and became sweet. still not quite sure how i feel about that. the tenders were very very savory and almost perfect. i feel like every time i come here, they've changed the recipe, on the same line, i feel like every time i go, the tenders just get spicier and spicier. it's not like an overwhelming spicy, but for a kids meal chicken tender, it was very spicy. i feel like most kids wouldn't finish it. even with the sauce or cooled down it's pretty spicy. i tried a lot to see if the spice level would go down. it never did. i do think that's one thing they could improve on. other than that though i think it's a pretty nice place. read more

Could not have had a greater experience. I used the online process to order my food, Shrimp Basket (fried). I drove to the Houma (St. Charles Street) location went through the drive-thru line and informed them of my order being online. Told to come on through, and after one car ahead of me was finished I pulled up and my order was waiting for me. I drove home and it was as hot and as fresh as if I ordered in the restaurant. Fries were very crispy, and the shrimp were perfectly seasoned and fried crisp, but not overdone. It also included hush puppies as well. Definitely worth the order. Best fast food I've ever had! We had the shrimp and catfish basket. It was priced at $13.99 and came with Crispy fries, hush puppies, and a drink. Huge portions and great taste. We also got the combo add on and got an extra drink andred beans and rice for $2.49 extra. I was blown away by the food, not just because it was fast food but because it was delicious! For some reason, the Thibodaux location seems to be better, but this is not a bad place when you're in a jam. I have had the chicken a few times and the batter never seems seasoned right nor cooked right as it slides right off the chicken before you get it in your mouth. The hush puppies are nice since you really can't get them at any other quick service joint. Service is hit or miss with speed, but is always pretty friendly. Price is a bit high when I can go to a competitor and get better food for the same price. read more

I picked up The shrimp wrap and a cup of seafood gumbo. I found only one small shrimp and a couple of items like tiny pieces of onion and crab meat. Terrible gumbo. The best thing about this place is it's drive thru. They are very quick and always friendly. I usually get a burger or chicken strips. Everything is always fresh & taste good. The burger & sweet potato fries is go to. I don't like that the burger comes with coleslaw & adding fries is extra. I've also gotten the gumbo which is o, but nothing special. Everyone in Houma knows that if you leave a gumbo in the fridge for over a week that the sausage takes in all the water and swells up... used to like the gumbo there and wasted my money buying it... I have eaten there many times, and I have never had the sausage swelled up like this.. if the shelf life is more than 3 days like any other restaurant, that should not be an issue.
