The moment this place opened it stuck out as something different.
From the clean white tiled floor to the aluminium light fittings and counter tops and a logo that feels like it was freshly printed by an "up and coming" design student.
Even the "lucky cat" and the hand written signs on the walls give you the indication this is not just another chippy.
The place has been spotless every time we have visited with pleasant staff who are always quick to take your order and give you a shout when it's ready.
That said there are a few things that I find a bit confusing, for example they cut the pakora in half before frying them (?), this can cause them to be a bit dry, but at least they are well cooked. They also only have two vegetarian options on the menu :-(
Friends and family (who are not vegetarian) have advised that their orders have been tasty and I have never had a bad portion of "double fried" chips.
This has quickly become our "go to" chippy, especially as it's just up the road from us. read more
