The Pig Lebowski after a trip to my house from OTG. Yum!

Needed to get some take out because I was too lazy to cook so I ordered a Mac Daddy from OTG. My food was ready promptly at the time requested and since I had high hopes for a hot meal, since I live nearby, I was pleasantly surprised that such a delicious burger came from that crazy kitchen out back. Look at the photo of that burger. The gooey cheese still 'pulled' after a trip in my car to my house. Great Caribbean vibe going on at the patio bar in the Summer and the Gallery is open in the winter with a nice bar to keep you oiled up. Do give it a try. Also try the Pig Lebowski, my usual.

First time visiting Sandwich and I just randomly decided to get food at this place. And I'm glad I did. Their pulled pork is the best seller which is what I ordered. I loved how it was cooked and the barbecue sauce as well which had a distinct flavour. The service here is very quick.

I had high hopes for this place but left sorely disappointed. Ordered brisket with sweet potato fries, mac and cheese, and a side of pulled pork. The chopped brisket was shredded like pulled pork which was a disappointing presentation and thanks to the fat content, an unappealing mushy texture. It was greasy, flavorless, and disappointing. Adding the honey bbq sauce did little to improve the experience as the sauce was bland and flavorless. The pulled pork was dry and bland, but unlike the brisket had a decent texture . The sweet potato fries were somehow simultaneously mushy, yet had burnt portions. Where things really went off the rails was the mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was flavorless and was dripping with grease. The attached picture shows the puddle that was in the bottom of the food container. Other members of our group ordered burgers- I did not try but it was clear that grease had soaked through the entire bun on way of them. The kids hot dogs featured soggy, untoasted buns and shriveled, unappealing hot dogs. The only item that looked or tasted decent were the regular fries. They were crisp albiet a little greasy. The ambience was so so. The layout leaves much to be desired. The majority of the tables are on uneven ground and are sloped enough that food tends slide on the table and it is uncomfortable to sit. We had been excited to try this place after hearing rave reviews from family members, but after this visit, we will definitely not return.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. We go about once a week. Even all winter. Their food is so good! I highly recommend the Birria tacos. Amazing! None like them anywhere around here! The aïoli mac n cheese i literally dream about when i sleep lol. The burgers are good. It's funny cus I don't like French fries. But their fries are too freaking die for! They also have so many sauce options to dip. My son gets the dry rub chicken wings. Those are excellent as well. The staff is always friendly and kind. I almost love the cozy vibe inside in the winter even more than the fun outdoor Cape vibe in the summer. You almost feel like you're in a ski lodge or something. Really an awesome spot. I'm so glad I found it one year looking for a Fathers Day spot.

What a find, well a friend told us about this place so it wasn't necessarily a find. Its quite a strange set up, it's two food trucks yet there's a bar outside. You can view my photos to understand the set up. Plus a nice firepit area but that area was packed with people. I ordered the absolute best Pastrami sandwich I've ever had and my husband got brisquit which was very good but let's get back to the pastrami! It was packed with meat and mustard and pickles and some kind of sauce. It was divine! We were in a heated tent because it's New England and I swear it's never going to warm up here. People asked to sit at our picnic table with us and I asked "did any of you order the pastrami", we'll they did and when it came out and they took their first bite they were oohing and ahhing as I was. It's a new addition to the menu so my husband told the owner of this establishment to make it a permanent menu item. Word on the street is come Memorial Day you won't be able to get in here. Go check it out soon and enjoy!

Cool, hipster spot. Nice staff. Unfortunately, the wings were a huge disappointment. They had no flavor and slightly undercooked. Personally, would not go back. Can see how it draws people to hang out outside with the food trucks in season.

5* for food! We went during Covid and ate outside under a large tent. I want to go again now that Covid has subsided. They had a few different food trucks outside serving a variety of dishes from different countries. They had a full bar setup outside too! I believe they close for the winter. read more

If you're looking for a low key vibe with some pretty good bbq this is the place for you. 3 of us had dinner last night. I had the Sloppy Choppy, it was sloppy and delicious, my daughter had a Pig Lebowski which she thought was great and my wife had a Bacon Cheeseburger also very good. All orders came with loads of fries. Good selection of beers to go along with the food. Place was fairly crowded and it had live music. Outside seating with limited seats under cover. Seafood and tacos were also available on site. read more

We are locals who have been coming to Off the Grid since it opened. It used to be our favorite place, not anymore. It seems once they became popular, they raised their prices significantly, catering to tourists on vacation and forgetting about the locals who helped put them on the map. The drink prices are ridiculous, especially when you have to wait in line, sometimes for 20 minutes or longer just to get one. Not to mention, one woman bartender has made us feel like we were bothering her on numerous occasions. Please if you don't like your job, get a different one! read more

We had a retirement party at OTG, this past Friday (under the tent) and it couldn't have been better! Brandon (catering) was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, and the food was spectacular! Catherine - our personal bartender, was awesome! She was very sweet and gracious! BBQ is fantastic. Sandos can get a little mushy from a lot (really freaking delicious) sauce, but the protein is always so amazing. The line for beer can be crazy long, and I wish there was a better solution. It took me 30 minutes to get two beers off tap, but that's because there was a long line, not because bartender wasn't working hard. The vibe there is 5 star. Always a nice friendly atmosphere, often with live music that makes for a fun and unique experience. I recommend this place highly despite the few drawbacks. read more

Great little unique spot that has a lot going for it. My wife had the Portabella burger she LOVED IT, also said the fries were great. She also had the frozen Pina Colada which she also enjoyed. Said it wasn't too sweet, it was perfect. I had the Pig Lebowski, the sandwich was huge. Almost too big, almost. However, when you have a large sandwhich, you MUST have it on bread that can hold it. This bread could not, it was delicious but to soft to hold the massive amount of meat. There was coleslaw on the sando which I do not like, if I knew it was there I would've asked no slaw. Not their fault. It did have "pickle fries" which are fried pickles in strips, delicious! The sandwich was lacking a sauce. If they tossed the pork in a BBQ or something it would've taken it over the top. Fries were delish. Got a side of corn bread. Was good but I've had better. To drink I had the watermelon margarita and I was very disappointed. There was zero flavor to the beverage. I couldn't taste the watermelon or the liquor. It tasted like water with a slight HINT of watermelon. Very disappointed. Kids both had the nuggets and fries. They enjoyed them as well. Seating is outdoors which is totally fine but 2 tables that we sat at were terribly crooked. They leaned real bad and you just couldn't she and enjoy the meal. We ended up under the tent which was okay just incredibly windy, which made eating difficult also. Wanted to give five stars but my drink and the flimsy sando held it back two stars. My wife LOVED every part of her meal (except the wind) and gave it 5 stars. So 4 stars is our average for our visit. Would def go back again. read more

I really was not impressed. I found the food to be okay but overpriced for what it was. The service was basically nonexistent so I'm not sure why they ask for a tip before you even get your food. The bartender and one person walking around seemed more interested in gabbing with customers than taking orders. You are sitting outside on mostly unlevel ground so be prepared for that. Paper plates would be helpful to offer. read more

Locals here, hoping for a good bbq joint, just not spicy enough. Meat was very tender but bland, no flavor to it at all. Got the pig Lebowski which is supposed to have painkiller bbq sauce so thought it would have some kick to it, most of the flavor came from the pickles. Other half had the sloppy choppy, same thing, very tender meat, sandwich just very bland. So if you like your bbq tender but no flavor this is the place. Quick polite service and I do feel overpriced for what you get. read more

Good food and atmosphere. Food is a little pricey for portion size. Taco from the BBQ truck is a super cool guy. The Mac and cheese was tiny and seemed prepacked. The sandwiches were good but the brisket sandwich could have more meat. I would go again to try the other food carts. read more

Barbecue is good.....don't know why they can't serve two corn tortillas with every taco order, it's ridiculous, how much does it cost to double up tortillas like every other good Mexican restaurant.....tacos fall apart....paid 15 dollars for 2 sloppy tacos. Great staff! But the fish sizzle sandwich was a huge disappointment! Tiny piece of fish in a roll filled with tons of mayo and soggy bacon. This is the second time this happened. Stick with the burger, you can't go wrong. Typically this is our go-to outside restaurant. Love the vibes just not the fish!! read more

I stand corrected. I have been here twice this season and both times service, music, and food were outstanding. The inside bar has a great atmosphere, our server (Kelly) was fast, courteous and helpful. Band was great. Sat outside tonight and bartender was fast, efficient and friendly. This place is amazing and is in a quaint cape cod location. My favs are the pig Lebowski and the fishizzle. Both are incredible. Also, they just opened a pizza joint next door which serves Detroit style pizza. I believe it's called Edge Pizza. Love it!!! read more

Sadly, this place has gone downhill. The pastrami is not smoked in-house (if you have a smoker and DON'T want to smoke your own pastrami, then nix it from the menu!) and is a shredded salty mess with interlacing shreds of Swiss cheese. The food has always cooled down upon arrival. [We actually like the brown paper bag idea.] "Hot" sandwiches like the pastrami will arrive in a grease-coated mass. The burgers used to be good, and hot. But now, they are a flat, mess...grease-coated in its wrapper. The French fries were laughable, though - no longer do you get a whole fry, but instead, little sections of fries. Just like the ones left at the bottom of a McDonald's bag, and just as cold. read more

Went to Off The Grid for a beer and a sandwich for lunch with two friends. The beer prices were NOT listed. Should have asked the price. The draft beers cost 13 dollars each!!! We had 3 beers 1 sandwich and a side of Mac. Total bill with tip came to 80 dollars. Will never go back, and want to warn others. read more

It could have been better. Friendly "relaxed" crew working out of a small building and a bus took our order, and made the food incorrectly. The fries were good and the burgers seemed like they were okay, but since they were made wrong, we didn't finish them. Disappointed (we were take-out so we did not bother going-back and getting the food right) especially at those prices. (We were the only customers at the time so there was no mix-up) read more

Please do yourself a favor and go to this restaurant. It is a hidden gem. I got the Caesar salad with the seared cod and it was perfectly seasoned. The cod was perfectly cooked. It was Cajun blackened on the outside and flaky and delicious on the inside. I am so mad that we discovered this oasis on the last day of our Sandwich vacation. read more

An absolute gem! We didn't know what to expect when we pulled in- but this outdoor food/bar garden area is amazing. We came by late in the season, it was cool out but there was a fire going and the atmosphere was awesome. There are several different food trucks, but we both ordered from Off The Grid- I had one of the specials, a lamb and beef gyro, and my boyfriend had the pulled pork with mac and cheese and cornbread. Both meals were excellent! We were also able to bring our dog into the outdoor seating area, which is always a win for me. read more

Off The Grid originally started in The Us Virgin Islands in 2016.

Meet the Business Owner: Chelsea S.

Chelsea And Joel we’re born and raised in Sandwich Ma. Both set out to start an adventure in St. Thomas USVI. During their six years of residency in the Caribbean they stumbled upon OFF THE GRID VI where they became loyal customers. Eventually becoming owners of their favorite local eatery, Joel and Chelsea were excited for a new chapter. However in the summer of 2017 Hurricanes Irma and Maria reeked havoc on the Islands, rendering business impossible. With the help of long time friend and Chef Joe, the team united to start Off The Grid Cape Cod.

The menu is a little funky, as you may notice since they specialize in both burgers and sushi, but to my surprise, they do both very well. I'm a sushi girl and my husband prefers a hefty burger, so this is a great spot to go with a group that might have different taste buds. Kid-friendly, as well. Since first discovering JD's, we've done a date night, a family lunch out and a few takeout experiences. All have been great. Every time we've gone to dine in, they definitely seem short-staffed, but the woman who has served us both times somehow keeps afloat even when waiting on the entire restaurant. We will continue to visit here on every trip to the Cape! Some of the best sushi in the area!

So you're looking at about 8 picnic tables with umbrellas pushed together. A small walk up shack mixing drinks, and cooking food. The menu is in chalk, and changing daily. Most items are on the snack size. Then again, 2-3 Blackened salmon tacos, or F/V beef sliders is enough to fill the belly. Now you're fed, enjoying a cool libation, and some live guitar music with a scenic view. The prices are good. The service at the shack is good. The drinks are good. The food is great. Everything is pay at the shack or run a tab. Many never even went back to their F/V reservation. I wish there was more attention to silverware and napkins. I know it's hard to keep tables clean when a butt sits down as soon as one gets up. You basically bus the garbage of the previous tenant. They highly discourage entry and exit through the sidewalk gate. The exception was made for a handicapped person in our party. *Note that we did encounter some biting, flying insects on first week of July. Lot's of bug bites the next day.

Parking is a bit limited and there are some mean potholes in the parking lot.

Owner, expediter never came to the table to inquire.. one of my guests said that the lobster risotto was in edible and crunchy. Very expensive meals and small portions. Each person was to get their own check, including, unbelievably, a four dollar plating fee for a cake that I brought. Waitress gave every one their checks. I gave her my credit card and she put it through. Then came up to me to tell me she had forgotten to put the four dollar fee on everyone's plate so she dumped $32 on mine. In an upscale restaurant, this would not have happened.. I wrote to the owner after my meal, telling him my thoughts, and he never bothered to get back. Unacceptable so that is the reason why I was forced to write this review. Find another place

The food is out of this World! We've eaten there once a week since they opened, and we've never been disappointed! They have something for everyone, the Shipwreck Burger and pickle fries are my go to. My Husband can't stop thinking about the Mac Daddy and the Brisket (when it's not sold out!) We also got a side of the Truffle Mac and Cheese last night and some ribs... amazing. The staff at the window are awesome and the entire place just has such great vibes! Love the little touches like the "fairy garden" and sidewalk chalk for the kids. I can't say enough about how delicious it is or how many times a week I get a text saying "Bus for dinner??" You will never be disappointed, can't wait to enjoy it in the Sunshine all summer long!! read more

My wife and I have been going to OTG for about a year now pretty consistently. The bartenders and food runners are amazing, some of the nicest people in Sandwich. The kitchen staff is always creating new specials so we don't ever get sick of the food. We love that it's pet friendly inside and outside. Live music and just an amazing place to relax with friends new and old. I see a few folks complaining about prices but I don't think that's very fair, everything is more expensive now. Found a LONG HAIR intertwined in my pulled pork sandwich. Showed the girl at the counter and suggested they wear hair restraints. She very nonchalantly apologized, as if it wasn't a big deal.
