Pick up and delivery was also spot on, extreme care was give to our furniture when it was picked up and delivered. Being this was the first time we had any furniture reupholstered I wasn't sure if we made the right decision, but decided to move forward after we went furniture shopping. Having our old furniture returned to us better than new was way more than we expected and we are thrilled with the decision we made and the company we chose. I've headed to DTLA in the past for fabric, but I wasn't looking forward to that for just 1 yard of black cotton. So I grabbed a GF and headed to Canoga Fabrics in Canoga Park. While I was at first a bit surprised at the small space, I quickly realized there was A LOT to offer. HELLO Joseph! I asked for black cotton and he showed me a sampling to check out while he finished with other customers. I found THE PERFECT SHADE OF BLACK! I just needed 1 yard, so Joseph got that cut quick as a whip, I paid cash, and out I went. $8 for a yard of 60" black cotton is VERY FAIR. Sorry I forgot to snap pics, I think I was delirious with delight at being able to tick this errand off my list! I now have a new fabric option for the rare times - yeah, like once a year - I have a project to complete. While there is a Public Parking lot behind Canoga Fabric, I parked at a meter on the street and fed in enough for 2 hours so we could check out a few other places I was surprised about along this corridor of Sherman Way. The quality of the fabric is nice and the guy helping me went out of his way to recommend a different thread to more closely match the fabric I was buying (I just grabbed the closest almost-color I could find). I was able to actually locate the matching dinette and he reupholstered the seats to all the best quality fabric and foam. I can only give him the highest recommendation. I stopped by this Michaels store yesterday to look at their balloons selection because they had a…read moresign outside that they sell balloons now. The balloon are in the middle of the store right when you walk inside. They had some great choices and you don't have to pay for the helium, just for the balloon themselves. The prices will vary depending on which one you get. I asked an employees if I can purchase the balloon first and then come back to get it filled with helium but she told me it's better to do it all at once. So I'll come back on Saturday morning to do that. I also decided to walk around the store since I also had to use the bathroom. The bathroom is toward the back of the store but it was closed for whatever reason. I saw that this Michael store now has a self checkout station, they didn't have that before. The staff are friendly and ready to answer any questions you have.
