NEVER AGAIN!!!! This place is horrible. I gave it another chance, and somehow this experience was even worse than the last one. Once again, there were no rib tips available, and this time it was only 4:00 PM. That alone was frustrating, but what happened next was completely unacceptable. Today, with some hesitation, I took my uncle to Off the Bone for the first time. He wanted ribs, and he did not realize this place was right down the street from him. I told him I would take him there, but I warned him that this restaurant is very hit-or-miss because they often do not have the food you actually want. Unfortunately, today proved my point. Not only were there still no rib tips, but because of his health, my uncle did not want to travel farther just to find some. So we settled for ribs instead. Trying to stay positive, I ordered 2 rib dinners and 4 slices of cake. I specifically requested sweet barbecue sauce only, because neither my uncle nor I eat mustard. Of course, when the food came out, the ribs had a mix of sweet sauce and mustard sauce on them. I was told it was "some other sauce," but it was absolutely not what I asked for. I immediately asked the young man to take it back because I do not eat mustard and that was not my order. A few minutes later, he brought the food back. In the same container, they had simply poured more red sweet sauce over the food that already had mustard sauce on it. I was shocked. At that point, I immediately asked for my money back. He said, "Give me a minute," walked away, and then came back again, not with a refund, but with the same food in the same container. This time, it looked like they had tried to wipe the sauce off and put new sauce on the same ribs again. Who does that? By then, I told the young man I was getting very upset and that I only wanted my money back. Again, he walked away and came back, but still did not refund me. Instead, he brought out another rib dinner. This time it appeared to be a fresh plate, but with even less meat than before. My uncle looked at me and just shook his head. By then, he had already started eating his ribs with the mustard and sweet sauce mixed together just to keep the peace. Rather than continue arguing in front of him, I accepted the replacement plate and sat down to eat with him. The young man then asked me if I was okay, and I told him plainly: No, I am not okay. I explained to him that I am also a business owner, and this is not how customers should be treated. I also made it clear that I would be posting this review. I paid over $55, and this is how I was handled. To make matters worse, I had forgotten to tip the young man when I first ordered, so afterward I bought 2 bottles of water specifically so I could leave him a $10 tip. Looking back, after the way this situation was handled, keeping that tip felt like an insult. When we walked out, I said, "Never again." My uncle immediately said, "Never again too." Bringing me back the same food three times was completely unacceptable and raised serious concerns about food quality and proper handling. Refusing my refund twice was poor customer service. And after everything that happened, keeping my $10 tip felt like a complete slap in the face. Like I said before: DO NOT GO THERE!!!! read more

This place is off the beaten path, shout out to Yelp cause otherwise I would have never turned off Palm Beach Lakes to venture down the street. And it was on a Sunday so my smart (greedy) ass decided to order two meals, the everyday offerings (chicken & ribs plate) and Sunday only (smothered pork chops). The establishment is a hole in the wall, takeout place. It was hot as hell in there, idk how they do it. The lady at the order counter was nice, told her it was my first time and she recommended sides. One of which was the candied yams cause they only have em on Sunday. I didn't like them at all. Other sides I got were mac and cheese and collards with cornbread. They were pretty good. As far as the meats, the helping of chicken and ribs were nice. I went with the combined bbq sauce she recommended and it was a nice compliment to the bbq. Unfortunately for me, it was only on top. My bottom pieces of meat could have used more sauce. The smothered chops were my favorite; nice and tender. Only recommendation is those candied yams (maybe it's just me or I got an off day) and thankfully the ceiling fan wasn't running cause it could use a dusting but not while my food being made lol read more

We ordered online for pickup- two chicken dinners, with Mac and collard greens. We ordered extra side of baked beans, potato salad, and cornbread. EVERY part of the meal was absolutely delicious! The food was hot and ready at pickup time, staff was super friendly. Chicken literally fell off the bone, was moist and had great flavor. A few hiccups but they more than made up for order. Checked out the place for myself one night and Florida rain slowed me down. I get to the venue and there's a line out the door and people standing with umbrellas waiting to get in. So of course I have to do the same. I grab a smoked sausage, potato salad, and mac and cheese to go. It looked and smelled great in the car. And when I got home I torn it all up. I talked it up so much that I got my coworkers hungry for it a few days later. We placed a large order. Everyone got there food but me. Everyone was trying to share plates of green beans, ribs, baked chicken, It was too late for lunch so I proceeded into a meeting when my stomach growling. I get out the meeting with several coworkers telling me the owner of the business appear at the workplace with my food, a few extra treats and a heartfelt apologize. The food at off the bone is fantastic. I have never had a problem. I ordered pick up today. Went to pick it up and got home and they had charged me a $6.49 tip on a $28 order mind you I don't mind tipping when I pick up my food even though I feel like I'm just picking it up. I probably would've given about three dollars but the problem is they didn't ask for a tip. There was no place I was prompted to enter a tip. They just took the initiative to add a $6.49 tip. So when you're going to pick up your orders, make sure you're looking at your receipt carefully before you leave because I think this is a little bit shady the way they did this. Also, I would like to add that the sausage sandwich is very small delicious but very small. I was asked if I wanted peppers and onions I said yes did not get the peppers and onions. I will go back because the food is delicious and they're a great business, but I will be paying attention to my receipt and what is being added to my check. read more

Make them aware you're currently out of blase & blase , to save THEM THE TIME , and YOURSELF. I was told to call back at 8 AM for breakfast , so I did. Just for when I attempted to call back , I get forwarded 6 times. I pushed eating breakfast back before work a HOUR , waiting on them to be ready & Then the kicker , what I was planning to order was apparently out of stock today, whatever's the reason. Could've saved US both time if someone made me aware of that when I first called. Doesn't matter if I didn't bring it up it's something you guys have on the menu, & if it's not in the kitchen yes you should make every customer aware of that. I been in customer service since 15 years old, I'm over educated on the ways to treat a customer especially a loyal one. & This is not the first time this has happened, just the first time I decided to write a review about it. Secondly they have different chefs I'm assuming & rib tips dinner plate , my partner an I ordered on a Saturday ARE NOT the same taste or cooked the same on a weekday. We ordered dinner on a Tuesday or Wednesday & we didn't eat either sides because they were cooked off and tasted old. We spent $50 because we always tip, just for 70% of the plates to be thrown out. I suggest having certain chefs re trained. I used to be obsessed with your collard greens & last time I ordered them they tasted like they were 3 days old! I work in a hospital , I have spare time in the morning not MUCH but enough to support a local breakfast shop or restaurant in general. I always support this business always, but they have been lacking with communication & I've been told that before but I love supporting small businesses. They deserve it more than these corporations. But recently they been lacking with customer service as well. I'm truly very nice and I don't mean any harm in this review because this restaurant IS OVERALL TRULY AMAZING. But recently the communication and the quality needs to be retrained or refreshed ! Wow and wow! We went for the first time on a Sunday night and they were sold out of almost everything. We were so bummed! The reviews looked great and it just smelled like my grandma's kitchen. So as we were drooling over the menu the sweetest men, Malachi and the owner and a sweet other young man were just so kind and charming sharing their story. As we talked about all the food that had sold out that day, the owner said my favorite, PEACH COBBLER!!!! I cried out, "Not Peach Cobbler!" The sweet owner goes into his own to-go bag and said, "I have never done this, but I'm Gonna give you my dessert!" OMG! There isn't an adjective to describe the deliciousness of this cobbler but I'll just say his mama is the best cook and I can't wait until they open Tuesday as we will be there at 11:00 when they open for lunch to get all the good food! What I appreciate about this small business is the consistency that I have experienced with their food. Ribs....are what the name says they are. The fall off the bone. They do have many siace variations. My fave is a mix of mustard and sweet heat (I think). I love the Mac and cheese, greens and their smothered pork chops.......... MADNESS! I've judged competitions for the Kansas City Barbeque Society. I've participated as an amateur in barbeque speed eating contests. This is some of the best barbeque I've ever had. Most certainly the best in South Florida and it's not even close. Between two people, we had a whole slab and a half slab of ribs. On the whole slab, we went with their "twist" sauce. It combined their tangy Carolina-style mustard sauce with their mild sweet sauce. On the half slab, we went with a spicy sauce. Both sauces were rich and superb. Well, let's just say the rib meat fell off the bone. Fell.. off.. tha bone. It was so juicy and tender, but hearty and meaty as well, with a nice char on the outside to give it a crunch. You cannot cook it better. I'm certainly ruined with respect to other establishments. Also, there was SO much meat on the bone, which, overall, their portion sizes are incredible, sure to last you more than one meal. For sides, we went with a large mashed potato and gravy, which they made special for us (we can't say enough about their customer service). We also had their candied yams. Hands down, some of the best food I have ever eaten with respect to both of these dishes. For twenty minutes after eating them, these two things were all I could think about. This is the first time I've ever wanted to call a restaurant after eating their takeout just to thank them. Wow. Wow. I cannot wait to go back. read more

Was in WPB for the weekend and wanted some Soulfood. Check out Yelp and since Off the Bone was less than 10 minutes away, I cruised on over. Since I'm pescaterian I went for the sides. What a great experience! Food and people were great. Had collard greens, pigeon peas & rice and mac n cheese. Had I known they served breakfast, I'd have gone. 08/30/2024- I have always gone to Miami for great Bbq , but Ever since I found this place I have been in love with the food. My co-worker who is Hispanic and who has never had food outside of her culture even loves it. I have been to both locations and both are great, but on 08/30/2024 I order my food over the phone and when I got there I am always greeted politely by the young-man that takes your order. I decide to buy additional food when I got there. He told me to go wait in the car and he would bring it right out to me when it is ready. I go back to my car and it would not start. I went back into the restaurant and ask the nice young-man did anybody had jumper cables. He said "let me ask my boss". Before I can get back to my car the boss /owner was pulling next to my car to give me a jump (not to mention he was cooking in the back, that famous bbq) he dropped it all to help me with my car. I could not believe the kindness. He "said what sort of person, would I be if I let you come into my establishment and buy food and will not give you a helping hand and I have a mother and a sister and most I am a man" I do what men should do....wow wow.
