Had an absolutely horrible experience since July till today , went in too get fitted with my…read moregroomsman's and my father the first week of July for our tux's for my wedding yesterday (09/26/25) , everything was fine with getting fitted till about a week ago when I called and asked Sal when our tux's were going to be ready , I was trying too stay ahead , and got told that they weren't going to be ready till POSSIBLY Wednesday or Thursday , my wedding was yesterday on Friday , finally got a call that my suits were ready on Wednesday at 430pm , as soon as some of us tried them on the hems were breaking , and some adjustments needed to be done , no big deal .. picked everything up on Thursday and non of our suits were ironed , they had WHITE DOG HAIR on all of them , they had white stains left and right , me and 3 of my groomsman's buttons on our jackets ripped off a hour into wearing them , my fathers button on his vest broke , I got handed a pair of shoes that were STAINED with glitter and 6 month old dust , nothing but attitudes from Sal , I received a phone call yesterday morning getting SCREAMED at by him because my sister in law never got her son's suit from him demanding me on my wedding day to pay him the remaining $170 , avoid this place like the plague unless you want his white mastiffs hair all over your suits and if you want too be treated like a piece of garbage

After lots of searching, I settled on a dress I felt would work for me even if it wasn't perfect. Two days before the wedding, a friend suggested an alternation that would transform it into the perfect gown but I knew it was too late. I called every tailor I knew but no one was willing to help. With 24 hours to go, Abby returned my call. She opened her shop and within an hour, had the alterations done. She could have charged me anything but only charged for the hour's work! My son picked up the dress and handed it off to me at the rehearsal dinner a few hours later. The dress was beautiful and the next day was great! There are no seamstresses left like Abby. Not only did she do a phenomenal job…read morewith my wedding dress (Anthropologie's BHLDN Valerie dress), but she also entirely transformed my second dress (Vow's FLEUR dress) by removing the very long train and making it a high/low style that was much more suitable to my petite frame. For my first dress - the main challenge was making sure the chest was supportive (there was a lot of extra fabric in the bust originally) while maintaining the look of the flutter sleeves. Sukran had to remove the original elastic in the shoulders, create support by adding an internal spaghetti strap (I am a 36C/34D), remove any extra fabric, and ensure the flutter sleeve appeared in its original form. We went through 2-3 iterations and Sukran got it perfectly! She does not charge more per alteration - it is a lump sum that you agree on at the beginning and you can pay in installments (I paid a portion of the original total each visit). Sukran also added a beautiful French bustle to this dress. She was patient and kind through every fitting, and she was a lot of fun to spend time with! You can tell she loves what she does. For my second dress, she entirely removed the lengthy train of a strapless dress (Vow'd FLEUR dress) and altered it to be a slightly high/low style. I am 5'1" and the style was much more suitable to my petite frame. I loved it! Thank you for everything Sukran!!!

So I went to Mona and she not only fixed my zipper, but also fixed the hem. The other tailor made the underlay longer then the overlay of lace, not cute. And she didn't even charge me additional for it. I will only go to her from now on and will recommend her to everyone! Can I also mention how sweet she is? When I went back, I was not happy with the length, but she hurried me out and said it was perfect. She charged me a total of $730 for alterations and hemming. After trying it on a few times at home I was still not happy with it, I decided to get a second opinion. I brought it to another tailor in Brick, and they told me Mona ruined the dress. It was not until I went to this second tailor did I realize what a terrible job Mona did for a ton of money, $730. This was a $1500 dress. Mona cut the lace when she was not supposed to. The top of the dress was a botched job. Also, Mona did not take it in correctly around the hip area. Basically, the new tailor must totally re-do the dress again from start. I was so upset but the new tailor is going to do their best to fix it for me for a total of $250. When going back to Mona she was very unprofessional and nasty and would not listen to a word I said. She told me the new tailor was going to ruin the dress on me. Mona just yelled and screamed at me and kicked me out. I would never want anyone else to experience this. I was naive and did not know any better and I got screwed. Please be careful and do not go to Mona's Boutiques and Tailoring. Please do your research.
