The man who helped us was Otto, he has to be the worst for helping customers that are new to this. He also said they didn't have certain colors, but he would show us something "close" that wasn't close at all. He looked more annoyed by helping us than anything. And when he was writing our information on the paper they have - I was afraid he was going to get something wrong, because his handwriting is chicken scratch. After he wrote all this information down, he took us to the computer and typed in some information, also. We knew after dealing with him these people were not getting our money. Super unorganized and all. Not only that, they just have samples of the colors for rentals, such as half cut jackets that you can just "see" what the pattern is - you can't try it on because they're all attached as one. It's absolutely insane to me. Never again will we be coming here. We asked for his name because we wanted to "give him the commission" and he said they don't even do that - then what's the drive to helping customers then? None apparently. Update: I get these dumb e-mails that remind me for measurements. Well i can't unsubscribe unless i make an account. And I realize that this Otto guy, when he put it into the system.. OUR WEDDING DATE IS WRONG! Told you I knew something would get messed up.

Not a fan of this location. I have shopped here a few times, for the most part they have what I'm…read morelooking for but it's not even looking for merchandise is the issue. It's the customer service. The first few times I have been here, the only person I have seen working there are the cashier. I can never find anyone of the floor to ask for help. I never see anyone stocking items or fixing the racks. My last visit is what forced me to write this review. I waited in line for 15 min I was next online and they only had one cashier, after she finished ringing up the customer they started having a personal relationship about having son's in the Marines. I'm like are you serious. Then suddenly it was like I saw a ghost, another staff member came from no where and said miss I will ring you up next. I'm was so grateful for him.

I worked at this Burlington for 5 years, so let me tell you all the tea!!…read more First off, the store is a MESS because the customers have no respect for the merchandise and just toss items on the floor. The store would be cleaner if.. 1. Customers picked up after themselves. 2. Corporate wasn't cheap and hired more people. The biggest annoyance with working Burlington was that they never had cashiers, so all of the floor associates would be ringing half/most of their shift and then barely had time to clean up! It was ridiculous! (and annoying since I HATED ringing) After the pandemic, they put up fake walls and the place is now much smaller and apparently they only have two people on the floor at a time. It looks like they finally hired more cashiers, but they pretty much got every Full Timer on the floor to quit, which is so rude. Honestly, just go to the Newly opened one in Farmingville. It's much nicer. What to expect if you want to work there, 1. Expect to be put in every department and help other departments. 2. You will most likely have to learn how to ring especially if you're on the floor. 3. It's not a good place for Full-timers anymore since they got rid of them all! (I left at the right time in 2018) 4. Lowest raise I got was 2 cents, the highest raise I got was 1.50, and that was before minimum wage was about to go up. Also raises don't carry over, so if you make 13 an hour and you get a 25 cent raise, but next year minimum wage goes up to 14 an hour. You get paid 14 an hour and not 14.25. etc.. It's not cool!! 5. If you want a career with burlington, the only hope is to become a manager, but you really have to show them you're down for it. 6. The hours are ridiculous, one day you close and get home at 12 am, the next day they want you in at 7am! Walking around a giant department store tires you out and you're "Wired" for hours, it's practically impossible to fall asleep right away! But as much as I hated the place, It holds a special place in my heart. It's filled with cheap things and despair! I'm giving 5 stars to combat the Karens that already reviewed this location lol

Why should Garden City get all the high end stores when shoppers in Suffolk county are looking for the same bargains? Nordstrom Rack the title ending Smith Haven Plaza fits well on you. I walked into the store and it was a madhouse! People were shopping, asking questions and trying on designer clothes all at a discounted price. Did I just describe heaven? I loved seeing the Brooks Brothers Men section. This is a brand that I wear so I welcome the discount. I bought on season a beautiful shirt-jacket for the fall. The check out line was long, it seems the local shoppers love quality clothing at discounted prices. Great grand opening Nordstrom Rack Smith Haven Plaza, welcome to Lake Grove.

A gentleman (I'm sorry I did not get his name) helped me unlock a bag and took it to the checkout counter. Once there, Jessica was friendly and helpful. She took the time to look up my Nordstrom rewards and apply them to my purchase. All departments are fully stocked and waiting for bargain shoppers like me. I find Nordstrom Rack prices exceptional for high end merchandise. Their in house brands are comparable and also provide good value. Although the lines were long and I feel they could use an extra register or two, it was a rewarding experience. I was able to snag a handbag that was on sale for my daughter who is starting a new job. IYKYK...

Unbelievably bad experience…read more Went to Magic Moments to get measured for a bridesmaid dress. You walk in and it's like a time warp - back to the 90s with with bags of tacky dresses. It's so crowded that it's almost difficult to walk through, but i mean, fine... its a dress store, no big deal. The dresses weren't in stock so we pretty much went to get measured for the gown. I get measured by a salesperson who is seriously slow. First she's confused there are two Amanda's in the bridal party and actually crosses out the other Amanda's name when taking my measurements. I had to tell her I'm Amanda P and that was Amanda R. P and R, terribly confusing I know. In life, I am a size 2/4. I get measured and the measurements (bust, waist, hip) are 2, 12, 8, making me the candidate for a size 10. I ask them to measure me again - I get that these dresses run big but a 10 is pretty ridiculous. Especially the fact that my hips are larger than my waist, which is not the case in real life. After asking multiple times, I finally get remeasured and they're adamant that I'm a 10. So, I am stuck paying and hoping I'm a 10. It's time to get our payments processed. Six girls and it took over an hour to do that. They wrote everything by hand, making mistakes with their painfully slow writing. I finally had to ask to write it myself because their method of asking, repeating, writing incorrectly and having me correct it was just insane. Fast forward a few months later and I was right. All of the bridesmaid dresses are HUGE. I can fit another person in my 10. I just called and the woman at the store could find no record of any name - not the bride or any of the bridesmaids. It's not shocking that they lost a yellow slip receipt floating around in their overpacked store but it's disappointing that I can't find a single redeeming aspect of this place. Bottom line: Skip this store - there are plenty other dress stores in Long Island with an actual concept of size, fit, reality and customer service. They probably even have electronic payment methods too.
