This was a disaster and I would never recommend this place to anyone! I am a bridesmaid and me and my fiancé are in the bridal party. We came 2 months in advance for the rental of a brown suit... they did not have the suit in stock or 1/2 of the groomsman's names in their system. 5 days before the wedding the bride came in and had the worst customer service and it increased her stress to a new level. They switched to a black tuxedo at the last minute instead. Now we're 2 days before the wedding and the jacket and shirt are the wrong size... what's the point of even taking measurements?! Very unprofessional, I rented a suit for my son first communion n basically they never call for the fitting and see if it was good for him till 2 days before te en vent saying that the jacket is not going to be on time n gave him one bigger one and the shoes was too tie , no apologies or nothing, poor my son has to wear that shoes for 1 hour only cause was hurting him so I have to change it n he didn't even use .... If you are looking for more stress during your wedding planning, then this is the place! Customer service is AWFUL! The only person who knew anything was Tiffany. The manager was rude and had no regard for our needs. We bought 9 suits total. Not only did they move alterations back an additional 2 weeks, we had to come back two times in order to pick up the suits which they could not find. Not a single apology . These suits were for the groom, best man and father of the groom. After being told the suits would be pressed, we were later told NO! The grooms shirt had a big brown stain on it. We were given another shirt only to find out it was the wrong shirt. WE had to call other KARAKO locations after manager told us he would call us back and never did. Two weeks and still no shirt. When I called to inquire about the replacement I was told they had no shirts in stock and that's why he didn't call. I explained we were running out of time and his response was "I've let you speak, and I'm not getting into this with you. I have 10 customers staring at me right now. I cant help you if I don't have a shirt for you. I will call you back next week to get an answer for you but right now I need to deal with other customers" TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE. Wedding is less than 10 days away and the groom has no shirt. Groomsman did not get socks and some no belts. We had to go back and get them. Buyer beware! read more

Went to Karako this evening 1 hour before closing looking for a suit with my son that needed it for an interview which was two days later. I knew the chances of getting it altered were slim but figured worse case I would bring it to the cleaners and have the Taylor there do it. A gentleman named Joe came over to help us and was absolutely amazing!! We explained that we needed the suit for an important interview. Joe went and spoke to another man named Frank and he agreed to do the hem right then and there. Joe helped my son out with a belt, shoes and dress shirt which I did not expect to get there. Long story short Joe made this so much easier, less stressful and a real pleasure to shop at this store. I highly recommend going here for your suits and ask for Joe. I know everyone's shopping experience is also different in the same business. My experience at "Karako Suite of Patchogue" was a pleasant one. The shopping center is off Waverly Ave. The store has plenty of parking. Once I got inside I saw it was really large. They had plenty of suits lined up. I was only interested in pants so I made my way to the back. They have a small section there. That's when Tony greeted me. I wasn't attacking me, just said hello. Once I needed him I called him. Tony's knowledge of fashion helped me put two solid outfits together. He recommended some styles as well as sock choices. I was impressed with how he took my measurements for accurate shopping. I asked him about the bad reviews they received and he mentioned that people shop at high volume season. Like proms, graduations and weddings. It's not easy to make everyone happy. I agreed and he took my stuff to the front and even wrapped it. I asked him a question he never was asked before, but took his best shot answering it. All said and done I joined the membership and will be back again because of Tony. If you want a good experience at a high volume suite store, maybe get there before the crowd. Just walked out from a great experience at Karako! We came in at open and Joe assisted us. He was very personable and kept the process moving while still maintaining a friendly level of conversation. He noticed that we wanted to try a few suits on our own and adjusted his approach to let us peruse. My boyfriend went here on my recommendation, and purchased a suit and some accessories. The sale went without a hitch. $800.00 later he had what I needed for the wedding. He tipped the sales associate as well. Thursday before the wedding, he went to pick up his suit, after having alterations done. The pick up date they wrote down was wrong. They asked him to come back tomorrow (Friday) and they would get his alterations done. He went back Friday to pick up the suit. He tried on the suit once more to make sure alterations were ok. They weren't. They never sewed in suspender button holes. So he waited while they sewed the button holes. the next day (Saturday) was the wedding. It was a very early wedding. He put on his suit to find out that the sleeves on his shirt were much shorter than the shirt he tried on the first night when he purchased the suit. Clearly the saLes associate pulled the wrong size. The button holes for the suspenders were uneven, which made his suspenders uneven, and the holes were different sizes! He had no choice but to wear the suit, as it was, because he had no time to stop to get a new shirt and didn't have that size at home. Two days after the wedding he went back to them to have them fix the suspended button holes. the sales associate pointed out to him that they did the entire button hole process wrong by the way they sewed them in. When he gave the sales associate the wrong sized shirt and asked to have the one he should've gotten, the salesman refused and said it was as worn (which my boyfriend explained why he had to wear this uncomfortable $74.00 shirt the day of the wedding) but he would deeply discount the new shirt!!! After waiting for the suspended holes to be fixed, my boyfriend left. He wasn't going to continue to argue with this man, who couldn't see that his company made the mistake, on multiple things actually. I sent an email/text to Karako about this whole situation, and I got no response. So now I'm sharing this with you. Karako lost 4 customers because of this. Went in here today to pick out a suit for my cousins wedding. I had a nice gentleman who helps my Father, Brother, and myself pick out the right size suit. After an hour or so of trying on different fits and styles we were all picked out. We then went over and got fitted by the tailor, who seemed like he knew what he was doing. I won't know until the 5th of Nov how everything all fits, but i'm going to go ahead and say that it's all going to be okay. Real friendly staff, and Well organized. If I could give negative stars I honestly would. The staff is unwelcoming and almost seemed bothered to have to assist me. I went there to get an outfit for a wedding I was attending and needed a suit and a dress shirt. The suit was to big so they took measurements to make it the correct size, even paid extra to have it done sooner. Well needless to say nothing fit correctly, Arms were to long, pants to baggy and to short. When asking to help find a shirt that'll fit properly with the suit and on me of course all the employee did was measure my neck and gave me a shirt saying it's the right fit. The shirt was a small, I'm a 3XL. Staff in unaware of what they're doing. But hey, you get what you pay for. Go elsewhere. read more

The two stars are solely to the fact that the tuxedos themselves were very good. Many people told me they are thin, but they were amazing quality. However, I did not like the service. II personally had a bad experience. They forgot to press confirm on one of my orders for my wedding and at first we didn't even know if we would have the tuxedo in time. They told us for about 4 days we will have them tomorrow. We had to repeatedly tell one of the employers to order a different size shoe and he did not until we reminded them for about the 7th time.i went with a group of people(groomsmen) , and when only one person was beinng helped , myself and one other person tried walking to the crepe store next door and the gentleman helping us literally snapped at us telling us we were not allowed to leave. The same gentleman also rang up our best man.. 2 days later they called saying he only rang him up for 11 cents. Making him have to leave work early once again to go handle their mistake. I heard many great things about this place. And some of the employees were amazing . I am not trying to knock this place as a whole, however I did not enjoy or appreciate the bad service and the anxiety they had caused me the entire week before my wedding. read more

I needed a new suit so I went to Karako Suits in Patchogue they had a sale by three suits get three shirts three ties three belts three pairs of socks for $799. Great deal right? It's only half of it,personal service was a Old school down to earth I like my job attitude. Matthew the salesman who waited on me was a young college kid very friendly with a good amount of suit knowledge and very personable. Victor the Taylor was also a good experience they both couldn't do enough for me. There was another salesman called Joe he was friendly and knowledgeable and not afraid to offer his skills. When I received this kind of great service I knew that the manager had to be a example to get this from his employees. Then at the checkout counter I got to meet FRANK the manager. He had a great attitude was friendly knowledgeable and not afraid to give top-of-the-line public relations.
