I'd bought material for a bar stool .Do to cost I'd brought a previous stool to someone recommended to upholster. That had been a mistake. So when the 2nd one had a rip I took it toThe Fabric Mill and had "AW" write up an order to have it done. It was discussed and noted by the girl and * the man worker who came and examined the roll of material I had along with the chair requesting the small sample and remaining unused fabric that I never got back. A month or so later I got a call that it was ready for pickup. When I picked it up it was wrapped in plastic and a roll of fabric was given me. Note: the workmanship was very well done, the color close, but it wasn't original material as it is a matt not gloss cover. I called sometime later just to ? If indeed my original fabric was there. IA girl named Janice followed up as AW is no longer there. Her email basically said-its a mystery as she found the man who had done the work on the chair and there is no clarity as to what happened to my fabric and what fabric was used. I asked her for her bosses information and she gave me a name, email and said that he was informed of the situation. I paid a lot of $ , I waited an adequate time, while the work is good and perhaps I may be the only one to notice the difference, I do wonder how to clean the chair as the material is matt and takes the dirt. It was not what I in detail ordered and there was no customer satisfaction efforts made however much the girl tried to be kind to find out. I would have liked the swatch which is gone and clearly would have shown the difference. Again, as noted, I made efforts, I brought the chair, I paid for it and it comes down to how much do I have to fight and take my time up with what is clearly an after the fact- lost battle. As Janice made note in her email, I am supposed to be comforted by the fact that I now have a chair.

I recently started learning cross stitch, and am always open to leaning new things. I saw the pretty needlecraft artwork in the window and decided to check it out. When walking in one woman asked if I needed help. I basically said the above. One of them barked "this isn't cross stitch". I said I know, my mother used to do needlepoint and I'm open to new things. She then proceeded to tell me (in quite a snotty tone) "I'm sure this isn't your mother's needlepoint either". Fine. You'll never get my business. I think the other woman might have tried to save herself by starting to tell me everything was hand painted. I was so turned off I told my husband let's go, and we walked out. Don't make judgements and be nasty to potential customers. Obviously they don't care if someone new might have been willing to spend money in their pricey shop. What a disappointing experience.

There are designer fabrics that are on sale for a big discount, which I really like. They have a nice outdoor fabric section, and up front there are $1/yard fabrics. I also got some really nice designer pillowcases for $5/set. The "Showroom" side has upholstery and designer fabrics and wallpapers in books and on the wall. They have pretty much every big designer name in there and it seems like they can do any type of window treatment or upholstery. They also have Hunter Douglas, with a ton of samples, which was really helpful to see in-person. Everyone who worked here was SO friendly to me. They really helped me find what I was looking for, and advised me on whether that fabric was right for that application, etc. I love this place and recommend it to all my friends!

Like as if she didn't have money because she was black. It's a cute store, but they should really teach their employees not to hound people and judge them.
