This place is absolutely fantastic. i needed fabric for a large amount of shutter curtains in my house and 3 other stores either didn't carry nice white sheer fabric or didn't have enough for what I need. Not only did Five Star Fabric House carry the fabric I wanted but the lovely, helpful store manager searched for extra fabric for me. He also was able to connect me with a seamstress to make the curtains. He was so helpful with measurements, was attentive throughout the process and even suggested a slight modification to the design of the curtain to improve them. The curtains are absolutely beautiful and well made and were made very timely. I'm extremely impressed with this store and will go again any time I need fabric!!! read more

Store hours said open at 10:30. Written sign says sorry we open at 12. Its now 12:15 and still not open. How do you even stay in business?!

As we are one week into the Coronavirus Pandemic, I thought of the idea to sew face masks for medical personnel as the hospitals are running out of medical grade masks. I needed to purchase elastic for the masks and came for my first visit to Five Star Fabrics. The store is very well laid out and has something for every sewing need, from gorgeous trims, zippers, appliqués, and a wide variety of fabrics, and vinyls. Arshad was so incredibly friendly and helpful. He not only helped walk through options for my project, he mapped out a new sewers needs for a refinishing project. I can't speak enough how awesome this store is. If you love to sew, have fancy sewing needs or you are a newbie, he has all of your needs covered. I LOVE supporting small businesses and he deserves your business as well. You won't be disappointed, that's a promise. Thank you Arshad for your Epic store, your kindness and caring manner. You are a wonderful person. read more

This is the place you want to go for fabrics... for apparel or projects. Mr. Naqvi is fabulous, encouraging, knowledgeable and helpful. Most important, he doesn't hover over you. Think about it, change your mind, let the creative process flow. Fabrics, linings, notions, buttons, zippers .... Or come in with a checklist and you'll be on your way. If he doesn't have it he'll get it for you. read more

so many things to choose from and amazing customer service, my new go-to fabric store!

The man in the shop was so helpful. Awesome selection, and saved us money when I was going to over order material. He even gave us a free sample to take home with us. I highly recommend this store for all of your fabric and button and sewing needs. read more

The people that work here were very helpful and patient. One of them helped me figure out what I needed to make curtains. They have a good selection of solid colors in all types of fabrics; there were fewer prints. read more

Mr. Naqvi is what makes this store quite a gem. He truly cares about the community and wants to ensure that they are happy and confident with their purchases. He'll take his time with you and answer any questions you may have. He also provided me advice and gave me his card if I had any troubles while sewing. His prices are very reasonable and you can tell he's a man who is here for the community. I highly recommend. read more

I am a young fashion designer and this is the store to go to! They have everything and more. My friend Mr. Naqvi helps me with everything and always greats me with the open arms and knowledge. He even directs me to short run manufacturers and embroidery specialist to help with my brand. I've been studying over seas lately and every time I come back this is the first place I stop. Huge selection of top shelf fabrics as well as all needed sewing materials and parts. If he doesn't have what I want he gets it ordered for me to pick up in a couple days. I recommend anyone looking for fabric/fashion needs to come to 5 star cause the name simply speaks for itself! Thank you for your overwhelming kindness, help and gratitude! read more

Amazing service, amazing fabrics and appliqué! one of the best fabric stores I've been too!

I don't know his name, but the owner is a sweet, kind, lovely person who runs a great little shop that's always fun to browse. Old fashioned "mom and pop" stores that cater to people who love to sew and craft are few and far between, so I love supporting them when I get the chance. His prices are very fair, occasionally downright cheap, but the best part is, the shop is PACKED with fabric, trim, ribbon, appliques, fancy work, all sorts of goodies you wont find at Joanne's or Hobby Lobby, [and I love those stores} But they just don't stock the stuff he does. So whether you want to make a baby quilt or a 19th century Civil War gown, I recommend a visit....you won't be disappointed. read more

Great, affordable fabric store with a diverse and extensive selection. Arshad assisted us and was incredibly kind (not pushy at all) and helpful. Apparently they're on Groupon, too, so check that out while you're there to get the best rate possible. read more

This place is awesome! It's a small shop but is packed literally floor to ceiling with every imaginable type of fabric, trim, ribbon, zippers... There are spools of beads hanging from the rafters! The owner is super friendly and helpful. Apparently he used to have a shop in the garment district for years. So lucky to find this place as I was waiting for my cat having treatment at a specialty vet in Clifton. If u can't find what u need in this place it probably doesn't exist! Great little hidden gem. read more

The owner is very helpful and he gave me a reasonable price on his fabric. A wonderful place and wonderful experience!

What a selection! The colors, the fabric, the lace!! I could spend hours there! We had a tight budget for an event and they helped us pick out the colors we wanted with fabrics that worked together but were in our price range and they all looked expensive and beautiful! And talk about personality! The two guys working there were charming, funny, and so very nice. Cannot wait to go back! read more
