The area was a little unassuming, but the interior and once you walked into the shop was very welcoming! The inside was so cute and nicely decorated. We got the wonton noodle soup, pork chop bento, popcorn chicken and some other items. The wonton soup was so fragrant and delicious. It really was the perfect warm meal. The noodles were chewy and cooked to perfection. The wontons were huge and had lots of filling ! It was so addicting that we got a separate bowl of just wontons. The bento pork chop rice was so good! It had so many items! Loved the cabbage, the pickled vege, braised egg, two slices of sausage, broccoli, and minced meat on top of the rice!! The pork chop was lightly battered and fried! It had the perfect texture of chewy and crispy. The Taiwanese popcorn chicken was also really crispy! It was perfectly seasoned and was a great small snack! We also ended the meal with mango shaved ice! This truly was the best shaved ice I've had, you can tell they use real mango for the ice. It was perfectly fluffy and sweet. The mango ice was a must order! The owner was so welcoming as well. The series was so nice and friendly.

BEST SNOW/ICE IN ORLANDO! Hands down this is the best snow I've had in Orlando & I have had all of the Asian ones in town. It tasted super fresh and you can tell they used real mangoes for the ice! Besides the dessert, the food is good as well. I got the cold chicken noodles and the portions were very big and it tasted delicious. I also got the plum sweet potatoes which I've never had but the seasoning uniquely sweet. I liked this appetizer a lot. I also really enjoyed the teas they had! It was very affordable and you can tell that the tea was brewed fresh. So delicious! Lastly, the customer service was great! The man who I assume is the owner helped us and he was very helpful and nice. He made it a very great experience!

This place was so amazing. I honestly just stopped in after a very long work day to use the bathroom quickly. They also graciously allowed me and was so kind. It's all so clean and neat. Lots of seating areas and very esthetically pleasing. I ordered a mango smoothie regular no added sugar and it was so delicious. Their menu had food and desserts and coffee. Lots of parking outside. And a huge cup for only $7. So worth it!

Just average for our taste and a bit on the warm side for a dine in restaurant. Food came out quickly and hot. Bao bun was good. Taiwanese sausage with sticky rice was just ok. Shaved snow was huge but was also just ok. Pet peeve ok having to pay 3% more for using a credit card vs cash. One and done for us.

I've been wanting to try this place for a while but never made my way over. My bf and I wanted to grab something quick while shopping in the area. When we walked in we were seated. The customer service was meh. But I don't expect much great service from certain types of Asian cuisines. I came here for the food. We ordered the meatball and the braised pork rice. They came out pretty quickly. Both dishes were delicious. I loved the meatball most. It was actually meat and bamboo inside a sticky glutinous ball. Very tasty. I would come back again. We don't have many Taiwanese spots in Orlando. I am part Taiwanese and the food reminds me of my grandma and childhood.

Beef noodle and mango shaved ice? Absolute winners--5 stars all the way! The bento was just okay for me, it's a bit dry, so 3.5 stars. Still, a yummy spot I'd visit again!!

This Taiwanese cuisine has not been noticed by many yelper. They are actually been there for some time. We also visited them twice. They serve some traditional Taiwanese street food. We have meat ball to begin the meal. It is rice flour coating with meat inside and top with sweet sauce. Delicious. The second and third dish are deep fried red vinasse marinated pork and ground meat bamboo skin. Both of this dish also good. We also got fried pork chop with rice bento box and popcorn chicken. Both this dish can be found in all Taiwan. Love the dish. Our last dish is braised pork with bamboos shoot. This is a pork belly with soy sauce. The meat is folk tender. Overalls experience is good. Love to come back one day.

Review based on Taiwanese shaved ice and fish cakes only. It's tough giving a place a low review because post pandemic world, things are a bit tougher than they used to be to be. However, i have to say that although the menu looks enticing and the beautiful photos that decorate the walls look delicious, the food I got did not resemble any of the photos even remotely. I was so looking forward for some tasty delicious Taiwanese shaved iced and what I got was a far cry from tasty. The ice was ok, the toppings were horrible, chewy and taste less. The fish cakes were all filler and almost no fish whatsoever. I do hope they improve as Taiwanese food is great, but to serve less than good Taiwanese food is just wrong.

The best Taiwanese food in the entire surrounding area. Owner is super kind too, and stayed to talk with us for 10 minutes when we were finished. We all got the beef noodle soup and loved it! Compliments well with the shaved ice after!

Came here yesterday for lunch and it did not disappoint! The owner was welcoming! The menu is extensive, lots of food from my childhood! We got the popcorn chicken to start (crunchy, seasoned and cooked to perfection). I got the Taiwanese beef noodle and it was delicious! My husband got the pork chop bento, he loved it! Overall the food is amazing!!! Love it that there is another Taiwanese restaurant around the area! Will be back soon!!! Want to try everything!!

We ordered the Ube Snow, which comes with mochi, cassava cake, Rice Krispies, and two toppings. We chose mango and lychee jelly. Every bite was different, with a new combination of flavors and textures in every spoonful. It felt like a surprise dessert bowl! Not only was it delicious, but it was also fun to watch them work their magic and transform simple ingredients into this amazing snowy dessert. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're craving something sweet and refreshing.

The snow itself was insanely creamy and perfectly sweet, super refreshing with the fresh mango and coconut. And the best part, a family sitting behind us saw our bowl and immediately ordered the same thing for their whole table. That's when you know it looks good and tastes absolutely incredible. If you're anywhere near Mills Market, this is an absolute must-try.

Both were delicious but the UBE stood out for me. This time it was not as packed and warm temp like it can be at times here. Ordered the Maiko Parfait in Ube : soft-serve with mochi balls, Japanese chestnut, adzuki red beans, sponge cake, corn flake, & agar jelly for $9ish. It was a delicious creamy not too sweet ube soft serve that had a delicious taste of ube. It was bright purple with the yummy-ness of this creamy ube flavor not the flavor im used to in filipino version ice creams. It had the mochi balls and chesnut - Corn flakes, Matcha sponge cake - Red beans, and jelly. I love this dessert. The interesting part of this soft serve - It was slow to melt! It was sturdy enough that when you take your time and enjoy it - It does not melt so fast unlike other soft serves. Would def come back again and get UBE!

We walked into a cute and welcoming space with a menu built around showcasing matcha in different forms rather than treating it as just another flavor option. The atmosphere is cozy and fits the theme well, though seating is limited and it can get crowded during busy times, making it better suited for a quick dessert stop or grabbing a drink to enjoy nearby rather than settling in for a long visit. The main reason to visit is the matcha soft serve and dessert selection. The matcha flavor is noticeably rich and earthy, with a stronger tea profile compared to many sweeter matcha desserts. The soft serve has a smooth, creamy texture and works especially well in combinations like matcha shaved ice, floats, or parfait-style creations. The matcha shaved ice stands out with layers of shaved ice, matcha soft serve, red bean, mochi, and Japanese chestnuts, creating a dessert that has different textures in every bite. The combination of the creamy soft serve with the chewy mochi and the slight bitterness of the matcha creates a balanced dessert that does not rely solely on sugar for flavor. The drink menu gives plenty of ways to experience matcha, from hot and iced matcha drinks to floats and specialty creations. Options like matcha with ube, matcha lattes with foam, and hojicha drinks add variety for anyone who wants something beyond traditional matcha. The café also offers coffee options, which makes it easier for groups with different preferences to find something they enjoy. The matcha lattes are well balanced, with the earthy notes of the tea coming through clearly without being masked by milk or sweetness. Beyond matcha, the menu includes other Japanese-inspired desserts like taiyaki, mochi-based items, and seasonal offerings. The combination of traditional flavors and playful presentations makes the café feel like a dessert destination rather than just a drink shop. The desserts are also visually appealing, with the kind of presentation that makes them worth taking a photo before digging in. The taiyaki are crisp on the outside and filled with a sweet red bean paste that contrasts nicely with the cold soft serve. Service is friendly and helps keep the experience smooth even when the café is busy. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and make it easy to choose between the many matcha options, offering clear descriptions of the flavor profiles and texture differences between the soft serve, shaved ice, and latte options. Because the café has a strong focus on quality matcha and specialty desserts, it can get popular during peak hours, so visiting outside the busiest times may make it easier to find seating and take your time with the menu. Matcha Cafe Maiko is a great spot for anyone who enjoys matcha or wants to try Japanese-style matcha desserts. The combination of rich matcha flavor, creative menu options, and a cozy café atmosphere makes it stand out from typical dessert shops. It feels like a place worth visiting when you want a matcha experience that goes beyond a basic latte, offering a dessert that feels both authentic and indulgent without being overly sweet.
