Doctor Deviney & crew are awesome!…read more I first came here about ten years ago. My review back then was 5 Stars. A decade later, it remains the same. Out of curiosity, I read the negative reviews here for them and was, frankly, shocked. It seems that the few negative reviews are in regards to the office employees, even being careful to indicate that the doctor was fine. I fully support the rave reviews for Doctor Deviney. I do confess I am not the easiest patient, as I frequently have many questions and an interest in finding out what all my options are before I make a decision. Nevertheless, he is always very patient, open, and willing to engage in conversation and offer me his expertise. He is clearly a popular guy, which makes sense, but it does not prevent him from always seeing me promptly. I only remember once in the last decade when I wondered what was taking so long, but even that is negligible because it was not anything unreasonable, maybe twenty minutes. Maybe it is because he has spoiled me by always being ready to see me- once the preliminary tests are done by other members on the team- within ten minutes. Over the years there has only been one short period where there was another doctor sharing the office with him (Doctor Manasia), but she has since moved back to Houston. I did see her that one year, and she was nice enough, but I do remember being a little sad that I missed my annual or semi annual visit with Deviney. Other than the one time, it has always been him flying solo as the only optometrist running this location. Maybe a demanding task for anyone else, but Doctor Deviney has had no problems, as far as I can tell. Getting back to the other members on the team, Ariel, the office manager, is highly recommended with any inquiries or even issues you might have. Always friendly, understanding, welcoming, and even seems to remember a little about me, even though I am sure he has so many patients coming in and out that I can be but a tiny dot on his radar! Other reviewers have mentioned the ladies (Cecilia & Leticia, by my memory) not being nice to them or "curt". Anyone who reads my reviews on Google & here on Yelp knows I try to be honest- sometimes maybe brutally so. I will say that, maybe compared to Ariel, they are less outwardly initiating with their friendliness; more reserved and maybe quiet personalities. Sometimes they have also been short with me, but I am sure that is due to them being more business like rather than with any negative emotion. This should not be construed as faults. They have always been courteous when I have initiated conversation or questions. As for other complaints regarding pricing and such, this is a business; we are in a capitalist society. Only saying. I can personally vouch for them trying to give me better deals on things they can do that for, like frames, but I doubt they have much power over how much someone's insurance covers or how much to charge for standard procedures. Again, things that do have some leeway with to name things easier for the patients, such as payment plans, for example, they are also willing to offer. Anyone who reads my reviews likewise recognizes that I am relatively stingy with my stars, so it is rare that anyone receive five stars from me. As a last note, readers should acknowledge that pretty much every great business has a few negative reviews. It would actually be a little more suspicious if it were perfect. This is simple statistics. So if you have any doubts, I would recommend you read the details in the reviews for the reasons why. It is no shock to me that Doctor Deviney has taken the effort and the time to address the negative reviews, at least on Google. You can read his responses and draw your own conclusions.

Dr. Deviney is outstanding--he takes the time to listen, explain, and make sure we get the very best care. The staff is always welcoming and professional. Thank you Visionworks for my new eyeglasses!…read more Like probably many others I started off at RCP eye care next door, and then walked to Visionworks to find a new pair of eyeglasses. They are conveniently located across the Quarry shopping center, and next to the Quarry Village parking garage. Compared to other stores, I think they have a really nice selection of eyeglasses from different price points and brands. The staff was really nice and were very quick to help me. After looking at my insurance, they pointed out a couple brands that were fully covered and explained all my different options. After choosing my eye glasses, they just took some additional information and in probably 20 minutes I was already out the door. I think my glasses only took like a week or so to be ready (super fast!), and they were absolutely perfect!

Our experience was at the San Antonio Location on Quarry. I placed an order at your place of service 1-2 weeks ago. I went to pick my daughter's glasses up and just for a pick up, I had to wait. The Optician at this Clinic was rude, clearly did not know how to multitask, and still made me wait just for a pick up when she was standing right in front of the dispensary. Just that same day, my daughter went to put her glasses on, and one of the temples broke off. We got a phone call today that the Visionworks Lab broke my husband's POF. None of y'all frames fit the needs of my husband. They're all terrible. When my husband called the Office back, the Manager, Aaron, denied my Husband a refund and requested we reach out to the Corporate Team for further assistance and support. I see that the Visionworks' Mission Statement and Policy states: "Visionworks offers the Love What You See Guarantee: a complete pair of glasses may be returned within 100 days of purchase. No appointment necessary, just head to the Visionworks you purchased at, and we'll help find you the perfect pair or give you your money back." We would greatly appreciate it if we received our full refund. As a former Optician and Optical Manager I was expecting better service and quality, same that I would if I was still working as one, however I was wrong. We did not feel welcomed at this Office and the Team seemed and sounded unhappy to work for y'all. We'd appreciate it if Management contacted me back with a more positive approach and that your Team be retrained on how to be a better Team for their Community! I will be sure to also express my concerns on Social Media about our experience so future Patients do not get the same experience we did".

And my other, the beautiful blonde who repairs glasses, sorry I am only human and can only remember so many names. lol. But she's the gorgeous blonde who repairs and accepts warranties. The Dr. is a beautiful man with a gorgeous family. And I do know he does care about your eye health. Because he will try to sell you A LOT about eye health. :P SO. That being said. Do it. Come here. They are even swapping out my angry husband's glasses (700$) that broke for a pair that will suit him and not make ME suffer the consequences. :P Ernesto. We all love you!

I moved and came here and they are like chickens walking around with their heads cut off. I ordered contacts. 20 days go by and I still don't have them. I call and they can't figure out where they're being sent and to call back in a week and they'll order more if they haven't found. Called a week later and they said call in a few days. So I did. At this point I'm livid. I can't wear glasses at work and I paid over $350 for contacts and never got them. After talking to the manager multiple times over weeks they ordered more. Finally they came in and I went to pick up. They handed me a 3 month supply. I'm like no I ordered 6 months. They say yes there's two in the bag. I said no that's 90 days worth. Again they say yes there's two sets in the bag. I tell her yes there are two because I have two eyes. One for the left and right. She said 90 days is 6 months. I said no it's 3. You're giving me a 3 month supply it says on the box and I show her. I said I paid more than $350 they need to look for my other boxes. They finally find them and I get what I ordered. They don't even know how to do basic math and realize we have two eyes. Why are they even working there? It's embarrassing on them. They tried to give me a 3 month supply after I paid for 6. I've been using America's best for years and this is by far the worst location. Please don't go here their employees don't even know how to count.

The office on Sunset is very nice and has a large practice - 3 surgeons and a number of optometrists for regular exams and surgery follow-ups. Initial exam was thorough and time with Dr. L was generous. He explained EVERYTHING so well - scheduling, process, and surgery - used visual aids, answered every question. Felt VERY confident about what was to come from the very first meeting. The day of each surgery was planned to the tiniest detail, and the team at the physician-owned EYE35 Surgery Center functioned like a well-oiled machine. From the very friendly greeting and attention at the front desk to the super friendly, empathetic nurses, to the fabulous anesthesiologist Dr. Phil, to the procedure itself, to post-procedure instructions. Everything was set up for success! We felt well cared for with personal attention even though their were a number of patients lined up prepared for surgery. Dr. Lehman personally called the evening of the surgeries to make sure all was OK and to answer any questions. Excellent vision outcomes for both of us! We couldn't be happier with Dr. Lehman, his office team, and surgery center team. The BEST!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
