Thank you Visionworks for my new eyeglasses! Like probably many others I started off at RCP eye care next door, and then walked to Visionworks to find a new pair of eyeglasses. They are conveniently located across the Quarry shopping center, and next to the Quarry Village parking garage. Compared to other stores, I think they have a really nice selection of eyeglasses from different price points and brands. The staff was really nice and were very quick to help me. After looking at my insurance, they pointed out a couple brands that were fully covered and explained all my different options. After choosing my eye glasses, they just took some additional information and in probably 20 minutes I was already out the door. I think my glasses only took like a week or so to be ready (super fast!), and they were absolutely perfect! read more

Our experience was at the San Antonio Location on Quarry. I placed an order at your place of service 1-2 weeks ago. I went to pick my daughter's glasses up and just for a pick up, I had to wait. The Optician at this Clinic was rude, clearly did not know how to multitask, and still made me wait just for a pick up when she was standing right in front of the dispensary. Just that same day, my daughter went to put her glasses on, and one of the temples broke off. We got a phone call today that the Visionworks Lab broke my husband's POF. None of y'all frames fit the needs of my husband. They're all terrible. When my husband called the Office back, the Manager, Aaron, denied my Husband a refund and requested we reach out to the Corporate Team for further assistance and support. I see that the Visionworks' Mission Statement and Policy states: "Visionworks offers the Love What You See Guarantee: a complete pair of glasses may be returned within 100 days of purchase. No appointment necessary, just head to the Visionworks you purchased at, and we'll help find you the perfect pair or give you your money back." We would greatly appreciate it if we received our full refund. As a former Optician and Optical Manager I was expecting better service and quality, same that I would if I was still working as one, however I was wrong. We did not feel welcomed at this Office and the Team seemed and sounded unhappy to work for y'all. We'd appreciate it if Management contacted me back with a more positive approach and that your Team be retrained on how to be a better Team for their Community! Will not be coming back to this location. The staff here is rude and obviously do not want to work. I was here to pick up glasses and I was greeted with a not so optimistic "hello welcome in". I understand you don't want to be here and neither do I. Clearly the staff needs training in customer service. How sad the office next door is amazing with their staff while the sales staff is poor. I've had one good experience which was when I ordered. Of course taking my insurances money gets me better customer service. The man working just needs to be fired, his attitude is terrible and seems like he hates his job. The woman working today seems to be trying but doesn't seem to be able to multitask. Vision doesn't work. I'm a female using my husband's account to post a review. The optometrist = Super duper nice! The eye exam and prescription = the worst I have ever had and I've been wearing glasses since age 9 and contacts since age 16. I told her during the eye exam, I'm seeing double vision. The optometrist told me to blink and I should be able to see because my eyes are fighting for dominance. After the exam, when I got my new trial pair, -5.0 for the prescription, and put them on, I could only see out of one eye. The optometrist moved on to the next customer already with an eye exam. I got scared and let her know I can only see out of one eye. She told me she would help me and rushed through a customer. She looked at my eyes again and let me know she didn't know why I can't see and that she would put the eye that can't see at a -5.25 to see if that works. We tried that and I could finally see but later I noticed nothing was clear close up at all. It was like I was blind and now I wear my reading glasses with my contacts all day just to be able to see otherwise it's like I'm blind. This is the worst prescription I've ever had. At least with my previous prescription contacts, I could see, but I had thrown them out to put in the trial pair. I went down days later to get my money back so I can get an appointment somewhere else with my insurance. They said I should have let them know I can't see. I told them, I didn't notice how bad it was until my husband drove us home. I told them I've never had a prescription this bad and that the optometrist needs to have her equipment seriously recalibrated! When I came in to get my money back, a teenage girl had finished her eye exam and was saying she still couldn't see and her brother was asking her how she could read what she saw earlier and she was confused thinking her eyes are just really bad. I thought to myself that I hope that young girl doesn't settle for having a messed up prescription like mine was. I made a new appointment for a completely different optometrist/business and have to wait wearing reading glasses constantly for 3 weeks now until then! read more

If I could give this place no stars I would. Recently bought and acquired by a new doctor and to say it has gone DOWNHILL is an understatement. Front desk associated are always nice but can't make up for lack of service. Had a 9 AM appointment that I was notified at 8:57AM was moved to 10AM, no problem. I waited in the tiny waiting room with standing room only for another hour until they told me the doctor was not coming in until the afternoon. Unacceptable regardless of whatever circumstances were happening. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your day here like I did. read more

Dr. Draper explained more about ocular health than any other Dr. has in the past and even provided valuable advice on how to deal with specific eye issues. Went here to pick out my new pair of glasses this past weekend. Great costumer service. Was able to get someone right away. Selena was very helpful in helping me pick out a pair of frames that looked great on me and worked with my subscription. She made sure I was informed of all the options that were available. Exemplary Customer Service! My eye doctor first prescribed glasses for me more than four months ago. I had no idea how difficult it would be to find frames. I'd never worn glasses before. My family and I easily tried more than a dozen different locations with no luck whatsoever. We entered Visionworks in the Quarry with low expectations. I've come here for four pairs of glasses over a 3yr period of time. Every time I walk through the door the staff greets me and ensures that I'm helped as quickly as possible. I've always been impressed with the wide range of styles and prices of frames. When I'm there shopping for frames I always ask for the salesperson's opinion as it is always hard to see what you look like and form a objective opinion of how the frames 'fit' your face and over all look. The quick turnaround on non transition glasses is sweet! I did not receive a phone call or any other type of notification when my transition glasses arrived and only found out that they were there because I called and asked. When I went to pick up my two pairs of glasses they simply handed them to me and did not do any type of fit check even after I asked. read more

My family and I have been customers at this store for 3 years. NO MORE. I went in to order sunglasses. The pair I selected were over $400 and with insurance only $100. I gave them my eye prescription and selected the glasses. When I came to pick them up I could not even read the card right in front of me. I was told "this is what you ordered...distant vision lens only". Why in the world would I ever order that? $400 glasses I can't see out of up close??? To "fix" that it would cost double what I paid. An additional $100+. I felt duped and like a victim of "bait and switch". Caution...be careful of the words they use. Make sure it's clear what you are getting and not getting. This review is long overdue! Several months ago, my preschool-age daughter broke her glasses while we were on vacation in San Antonio. The staff here worked tirelessly and patiently to fix them, and entertain her and her twin brother in the process. The entire staff was so sweet, helpful, and professional. I was so excited to take advantage of this offer, read the small print to avoid any surprises I had insurance, however as was explained to me, they will do whatever is "cheaper for the customer". So glad they had my best interests at heart. I pick out my 2 pairs and expect it to be around $300.00. Imagine when I am told it will be $635.00. Shocked, I asked if that is one pair of glasses for me runs? So, I asked the sales associate to take 1 pair off to see what it would be for just 1 pair. It came to $235.00. He went into a big explanation, as well as the next associate when I went back in asking for clarification. She had a long explanation as well, telling me I did well because they used my insurance. I have bought my glasses and contacts from here in the past and always had great service and quick turnaround on my glasses.writing this review now because my Oakley sunglasses had a screw fall out as well as the lense the screw was holding in place. I went in and a very polite gentleman,John I believe,fixed it in less than 5 mins and tightened up the other loose screws for me.he also cleaned them up for me! My glasses needed an adjustment because if I looked down they fell off my face. As soon as I entered the store, I was greeted by a friendly sales technician. She helped me immediately with no wait time! She took the lenses out and throughly cleaned inside the frame and each lense. She then did her magic with a heat gun and some special tools. When I put them on they felt fine to me, but she could see they needed a little more tweaking. She worked on them until they fit perfectly. She did all of this for no charge! I love Visionworks and I am so glad I buy my glasses from such a great place. read more
