It was my first time I've ever visited a LensCrafters store and it was wonderful! I have a typical Asian nose (low bridge), so trying to find sunglasses with adjustable nose pads is challenging. I've visited other optical stores only to be disappointed by the selection available. As soon as I walked in, I was amazed by the variety of frames. I was greeted by Megan who assisted me with finding frames, reviewing my insurance, fitting, and everything else. I sincerely appreciated her patience as I was indecisive on choosing frames, but I found "the one" - Ray-ban! It must have been kismet because in addition to my insurance coverage LensCrafters was having a Black Friday sale of 30% off designer frames and 50% off lenses. After going to two other locations, and being very disappointed with the selection, service, and explanation of benefits, I ended up ordering my glasses online. When I got them, they didn't fit so I went to the North star location, which was the only one I had not yet been to within close proximity to me and not only did they have a good selection of glasses, but everyone there gave excellent service! They did a really good job at explaining what I was paying for according to my insurance and let me know that they could have my glasses done as early as the next day since I went in late in the evening. They are very professional and know what they are doing. Not one time did they hover over me and shove a bunch of different frames in front of my face, they just let me take my time and try them on until I found one I loved. I came to get an eye exam here, and I had a pretty uncomfortable experience with the medical assistant at the front. I came in for a 3:30PM impromptu appointment, close to their closing time 4PM. I came in, and they agreed to do an appointment for me. The entire time the experience felt incredibly rushed, to the point where I don't think the prescriptions were correct for me. I understand that it was near closing, and I understand there can be bad days for everyone. However, for a $250+ appointment, I would rather they turn me away and tell me to come back tomorrow. Agreeing to the appointment, completely aware of how long the experience would take and the financial cost on me as a patient, comes with responsibility and a guarantee of the typical good service they would give to any patient. The assistant persistently demanded I rushingly sit still to quickly get all the preliminary exams done. He was condescending and made me feel uncomfortable. I contemplated whether I should've just left in the middle simply by how rude he spoke to me. I would not recommend coming here. read more

Buyer Beware- (Stay Away) I went to Vision works and I was assisted by Josh, who seemed to know exactly what I was looking for and also explained the differences in the lenses and customized the perfect pair of glasses for me! I also noticed the huge difference in cost savings that I was receiving at Vision Works compared to Lens Crafters. At Lens Crafters they charged me for a warranty that I didn't ask for nor was offered, very un professional. Go to the opposite side of the mall, Go to Vision Works and ask for Josh or Greg heck anyone there will be honest and will get you what you need!! read more

If I can give a Zero I would. Do NOT buy from this place. I bought some Burberry Transition Glasses about a year ago paid OVER $600 in-total with insurance on them. About a week ago I went in to use my insurance cause it was about to expire and because over the 12 months they got loose and wide and were fitting pretty lose on me. I paid $50 on top just to get a new pair replace. Today I went in to pick them up and was told to give my old pair back to them because they needed it in order for them to give me the new glasses that I had to PAY for. Mind you I paid over $600 for those glasses and $50 + more to order some new ones with the insurance that I paid for. Completely ripping people off. No fucks giving at all and then I asked them how much to keep my old pair they talking about $300+ to keep the old pair like wtf.. If robbing someone out their money had a name it would be Lens Crafters forsure!! I do not recommend, Never in my life have i ever paid so much and gotten my old pair tooken from me when purchasing a new pair with my insurance. So crazy!! This location has a very good selection of lenses in various brands. Of course prices vary on brand and material of frame, but I don't think the prices are excessive. I mean the discount optical stores will of course have lower prices, but you're paying for name-brand and designer glasses. The ladies helping me were very patient and helpful. Glasses are always an event for me and this last time was no different. They looked up my insurance and offered me upgrades in lenses, but I didn't feel pressured to buy up. I got a clear pair of lenses and a pair of sunglasses. In all, I am satisfied with my experience at this location. read more

June 22nd 2020. Rona death rate currently in this county is .0001 I come for my appt, I don't have a mask. I tell them I can't wear one because of my breathing issues. They deny me service. They say I can reschedule for January 2021. ADA Title 2 says that people can't be discriminated against because of their disability, also, HIPAA law states I don't have to disclose my disability, however I did disclose. The main reason I even came for an eye exam and new glasses is because I found I have had black mold exposure for 7 years, my eyes get worse EVery year. I also have breathing issues because of it. I told them this. Any DOCTOR should observe ADA laws. Any doctor should know that there's even a MOLD EYE TEST. I took this test. I also have tests from my primary dr showing extreme levels of mycotoxins. This facility is poorly ran, undereducated, & communist. Good day. read more

Came in today to get some glasses. Wasn't planning on spending too much just what my insurance covered. Long story short. When I sat down with the girl to pay and stuff she just started adding all this stuff (which all costs extra) as if she was looking out for my best Interest. I told her I just want the cheapest lens because I only wear them when I'm at home and then she told me "well I don't have that machinery to have them finished by today so you'll have to wait." Me being naive said okay that's fine. Well I go home and as soon as I get here I get a text that my glasses are ready. I wouldn't have given such a low rating if she would not have lied to get more of a sale. I don't know if they're commission based or not, but because of that small incident I will not be back. read more

Located in Northstar mall, this location, although small footage wise, has an excellent selection of frames. They offer RB, Burberry, Tiffanys, D&G, and Oakley. Awesome customer service as well! Would recommend at least stopping by if your looking for some new frames. I did not get my eyes checked here so I can not rate that aspect of the business. I went in asking simple questions about lenses for my glasses and she clearly didn't wanna deal with it. Then I waited for her to come out of the back office just to clarify because I didn't want to leave while I still had questions, and in the middle of my question she rolls her eyes and exhales loudly and repeats everything she said before very slowly, clapping her hands together softly in between her words. As if she had to say "calm down" to herself in her head before responding to me. Really? What LensCrafters employee acts this way lmfao you'd expect more from full grown adults selling glasses. Unfortunately, I'll have to come back to finish what I was there for but I would rather just leave and hope a different and more polite employee will be available for me to speak to. read more

Not sure how she keeps her job/title there but clearly she needs more training on customer service. Due to my mistake I showed up early, which I totally understand I would have to wait but to have her speak to me in the tone/manner she did was totally unacceptable. Not sure if the people who she was on the phone with when I walked in, which she was also being rude to, made her upset and then took it out on me, but in any case, I left not wanting to provide my business to such a rude person. Being an admin asst. I understand everyone has bad days, but being up front and having that title, you should learn to not speak to people in a rude tone or yell at them infront of other customers. five stars hands down...... let me tell you why. Upon finishing my eye exam next door I walk over here to choose a pair of frames. I was greeted immediately after walking in and handed a tray so I can choose my favorite frames. The have all types of name brands and different styles. I did find one pair that I really liked and was soon taken care of. I sat down with this nice older lady, she was so kind and awesome, if only I could remember her name. She easily explained to me the cost break down and when the glasses would be finished. She explains that they could be done within an hour or so, I was like "SWEEET" so I walk around a little bit charge my phone and relax, SURE ENOUGH MY GLASSES WERE DONE within the hour!! I quickly returned and saw my choice of frames and my prescription in the lenses. Over a great experience and would recommend this place to anyone!!! read more

Worst experience ever!!! The eye doctor next door was amazing, it wasn't until we walked next door to get the glasses that it went downhill. The guy was completely clueless on how to lookup insurance information. The manager was just unwilling to help. I had to personally go back to the doctor office next door just to get the info they needed since they couldn't bother to do it. I come back in with the info just to have to wait more while they helped everyone else that came in afterwards. It's very obvious they do not care. Won't be back to this location for sure. read more

After a long long wait, much longer than the original timeframe provided, they apologized profusely, and not only gave me my glasses, but I got to keep the "loaners." For clarification, I went in and complained, a lot. The general manager helped me, gave me the same frames with not so special lenses, basically the lenses were not as thin as I ordered, and didn't have all of the bells and whistles, but they could make 'em fast. So I got those "loaners" and wore them for about another week, I went back, they fitted my regular glasses, let me keep my "loaners" aaand gave me another cleansing kit. Made me happy. read more

My wife and I went to the Lenscrafters closest to our home which was the North Star Mall store. Our dog chewed up my wife's glasses and we wanted to use our insurance that we purchased. The associate immediately went to get computer and began her process. I asked if they had the same glasses and she didn't answer my question. She stated that we owed $50 dollars. We paid with our debit card and then her computer came went blank. When it came back she said assured us that we were not charged and ran the card again. My wife immediately checked out account and showed them we were charged twice. The manager, Mayra Ramirez, didn't flinch and just said she would contact finance and we would be reimbursed next week. It was astonishing how little they cared that they just charged us twice. She admitted that she had the authority to credit us back the money she said she was going to verify before she did that. Next we find out that they didn't even have my wife's frames and said they could order them. I could not believe that we were charged, twice, without giving us the option if going to another store or even what we wanted to do. We ended up going to the Alamo Ranch Store and they remade the glasses (very apologetic). The manger, Mayra Ramirez, assured us that she would check the issue and reimburse us by Monday. That never happened. It is Thursday and were still have not been reimbursed. My wife called and now they are checking. We won't hold our breath. This was clearly an issue they have had before. I feel bad for anyone that lives paycheck to paycheck. To some $50 is a lot of money. Either way Lenscrafters didn't care. I wish there was a way to reach a general or district manger. I guess this is the reason. We have used Lenscrafters for years and my entire family used to get glasses. We will never use them again and we will tell all of our family and friends to use a different company. read more

Awful customer service experience at North Star location Sat at 4pm. I bought a 260 pair of frames and they broke in 2 weeks. One side just slid right out of the frame, the epoxy completely unglued. I came back to get this issue fixed. Immediately the lady tried to pin my glasses falling apart in two weeks as my fault. "oh you broke your glasses.". They asked me to pay 50-60 dollars for a warranty to replace the frames. I told them I will post on Facebook if they don't solve the issue reasonably. They replaced the frames, but the girl working there scratched my god**** lens! I have no proof so what the can I say. I can't do anything about it so I will at least share my story here. Overpriced garbage. Shop somewhere else. The first lady I bought the glasses from was great, btw. She can do better than this **** company. read more

Wonderful experience! I recently lost my glasses in a tubing incident and I have TERRRRIBLE eyesight so getting a replacement pair of glasses was a must. I am of course like every other millennial on the planet and was long overdue for an eye exam. The staff and optometrist next door who conducted my eye exam were professional and courteous and made it a very easy experience. Moving onto next doors all I can say is WOW! Virgina was nothing short of exceptional. From the second me and my husband walked in she realized that I wasn't just there to replace my glasses for fun but because it was an necessity. My prescription is not one that can be filled in one day. However, instead of just brushing us off and telling us that I was going to have to buy the expensive lenses that wouldn't come in two weeks later she did everything in her power to try to help me leave with a pair of glasses that day without being pushy. She was very kind, patient, and not once hesitated to show us every option that would work best for us financially as well as all the benefits to the newer technologies in glasses .All in all a wonderful experience. read more
