There doctors act entitled and degrade their patients. Furthermore, when you tell them any problems with your eyes, the only response they give to you is that 'you need to wear your glasses more'. And many times, they brush around the question only giving you this final verdict on the 5 time you ask. I had Dr. Luis Marquez and he was not only disrespectful, he was overall rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend this facility to anyone else, and I especially would not recommend this doctor to anyone else. read more

Super nice staff but had to get 2 vision tests because the lenses came back 3-x with blurry vison. Also, other customers at each time I visited also complained the lenses were blurry. After 3 times I asked to return and get a refund. They said ok, but then could not refund my card and would send a corporate check. Check never came and my insurance company never heard from them to have my benefits reinstated. Because I reported this to my insurance company, they now phoned and emailed to say they would after all refund my HSA card. Which I will believe when I see. All my time and gas I wasted for nothing. Cant get all those hours back that could have been spent with family. Like I said, they were super nice each time but unable to deliver on a quality product. read more

I received my new glasses from Visionworks Northwoods this past November. I had a very comfortable experience on both visits. Lisa Hicks, the store manager, happened to help me both times. She was very professional, while being pleasant and helpful. She did not push any extra products; did not rush the procedure; and was always easy going and helpful. The other workers seemed to be as pleasant and professional. The store was very clean and had a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. I will go back when I need anything. read more

I ordered 2 pairs of glasses from VisionWorks from their Shrewsbury NJ store on May 25, 2022. The promise date was June 8. However one of the pairs I ordered did not arrive at the store. On June 9, I requested that the store call the factory to find out the status of my missing glasses. The first store rep told me that the order was in process and he could not provide anymore information. I asked to speak to someone else who could help me. I was put on hold for 10 minutes and finally spoke to a more helpful representative who informed me that my order was shipped. Fast forward to June 12, still no glasses. Once again called the store and asked for the manager. I was informed that all she could do was email the factory about my order and it may take a few days for a response. I did not believe that was the only way for the store to contact the factory regarding an order. Unfortunately I was wrong! I called corporate customer service and was informed that the only way for a store to communicate with the factory was via email. That a store could request an order to be expedited, but no promises. In my opinion, VisionWorks "Sole" means of communication between the stores and their factory is a very poor business model. The company's communication method is not set up to provide proper customer service. I requested information about my order and 4 days later, VisionWorks still had no information to share. MY ONLY OPTION WAS TO WAIT FOR AN EMAIL RESPONSE FROM THE FACTORY WHICH COULD TAKE A FEW DAYS. And then I might find out what happened to my glasses. It is uncomprehendable how a store can not call a phone number to inquire/locate a problem order. read more

Just watch out for the sales routine of padding the bill. Sales rep asked where I work and then said "Oh a lady named _____ from your work got her glasses here". Nope. No such co-worker. Nice try though. Next was the more common routine that the thin frames that you picked can't take your thicker(cheaper) lenses. When I got up to leave a miracle happened. She said "Oh wait you know something...the less expensive lenses will fit those frames after all." Don't buy into any of this stuff. ALL lenses fit ALL frames. There is nothing wrong with getting a cheapie set of eyeglasses for work or home or car. Stick to what you want or go elsewhere. read more

UPDATE!!!! I was really surprised to read that VISION WORKS reached out to me. I did call them and they were really happy to make it better. Not long before I read their comment my glasses snapped on the ear piece and VISION WORKS replaced them for free. I could have for a small fee but I was just not happy. But the team that contacted me was extremely apologetic and helpful. I did hear that the manager that was rude has been let go already. Sometimes bad apples hide in the bunch. It happens. This is a great company and I'm so glad they help ------------------- Nope!! This location is the worse! I went in to have my glasses adjusted that I purchased at Vision Works at Cantera... best store by the way.... The staff is RUDE. It was hot, that made it stink, and none of the employees were happy. I have bought glasses from this particular Eyemasters a couple of times now. I have always received great glasses and service to go with them. I buy glasses for me and for my oldest son. To me a lot of factors come into play when purchasing glasses; price being the main one, comfort and look right behind it. That being said I always get a comfortable nice looking pair of glasses for a great price at Eyemasters. This past week I really was happy with two sets of glasses I got. Came in the Northwoods location to pick out some frames. Jonathan was most courteous and helpful in providing assistance with the Covid protocols as well as helping me select a frame. First and foremost, I felt very safe while in the store. My temperature was taken and hand sanitizer was provided upon entry to the location. A quick explanation of the Covid protocols (how to handle frames and where to place them after trying them on) was provided, then I was ushered to the rear of the store to select a frame. Jonathan asked what type of frame I was looking for and helped me select a proper fitting frame. The good folks at this location take great care of their customers. I've been buying my glasses from this location for a few years now. The selection of frames is usually just fine. I rarely struggle to find a pair (though I confess, I usually prefer very simple frames, nothing fancy). I recently had to take in my fairly new glasses when the lenses developed strange cracks along the frame. The same thing happened to my glasses last year. (This is a new thing. Last time I thought it was a fluke, but now something else is amiss.) Anyway, the manager was very receptive and concerned. They gave me no trouble at all, and offered to replace the lenses in 20 minutes. For service I give them 5 stars. I have to knock off one star because I'm concerned the corporation/supplier needs to take a second look at the brand of lenses they are using lately. read more

I called the store on Sat. 9/30/2017 and the lady that took my call told me, that we are to busy to check on your glasses right now. Give me your phone number and somebody will call you later today. Well, I didn't get a call later that day and furthermore, my value as a customer shouldn't matter if i'm in the store or on the phone. I went in to buy new glasses last week since this is the place I came to 2 years ago for glasses. I ended up leaving about 20 minutes later because the employees were doing their best to ignore me. The person who greeted me was very friendly, but she wasn't in charge of helping people choose frames. The person who was had finished up adjusting a lady's frames and I thought she was going to help me next, so I tried getting her attention, but was ignored. Really enjoyed my visit here. Ms.Crystal made my visit a breeze. At first i was surprised about how expensive a new pair of glasses for my neice would be. I've had my old pair for over 20 years and they didn't cost more than 20$. She explained to me about their features and the warranty they offer and helped me get a better deal. My neice has always had issues with her eyesight and it makes me glad to see her enjoying here new eyewear. My only complaint would be the of the first young lady who sent me to the back of the store after I asked if she could adjust my frame. Unless you have thick skin and unlimited time, do not shop here. The last 3 times I have come into this store I have been ignored. The store has no way to monitor which customer is next in line - expect people who come in the store after you to be waited on first. Unfortunately, this happened to me again today, and I left the store without my mom getting her glasses that were ready to be picked up. This means I have to go there one LAST time. I actually got my last pair of glasses from a competitor after being ignored in this store. Where do I begin with their horrible customer service. My daughter and I brought her prescriptions there for our glasses and ended up just getting the lenses they told us they would be done in about 5 to 7 days and it would be one hour for them to cut the lenses to put the frames so we would just wait while they did that so when I came in one day after picking my daughter up from school they said it would be two hours because the people that cut the lenses just went to lunch so then after two hours I tried my glasses on and they ordered the wrong lenses so I waited another week for them to come In and I had to call them they didn't even call to tell me they were ready they are the worst place to buy your glasses ever I will never go back there again. read more
