I have been with Dr. Barondes for a few years now. She and her staff are wonderful to visit. They offer a variety of glasses for men, women, and children. Prices vary depending on the brand and if you want to add extra such as transition lenses or blue light blocking. The waiting area has a tv and drinks. The facility is very clean and well maintained. I was able to get scheduled for my exam the following week. For an annual eye exam, I was in and out in about 40 minutes. read more

Made appt weeks in advance. My appt was schedule for 12/5 @ 10AM. Arrived and was told the Dr was out and they tried to call me last week but the number wasn't incorrect in their system. I didn't fill out any paperwork when I walked in to schedule a new appt. I just verbally gave the staff my information. But the number they had on file was not close to my number. I get it, stuff happens but still tough to hear oh we had the wrong number & tried contacting you but the number wasn't working when you took time off work. Maybe implement a second or third means of contacting patients for appt cancellations by utilizing their email address or NOK phone number as a seems to show due diligence so future patients are not discouraged from rescheduling. Thx. read more

Expensive; lady at front desk was cold. Chose the place due to its proximity. Will be going to one of many others who are up to 50% cheaper for eye exam. read more

The staff was very friendly and professional. Dr. Everette did a very thorough eye exam and a health check eye exam as well. I was very happy with the service and professionalism of the staff. They were great. I recommend this business to everyone. read more

Made an appointment a week ago. Gave them our insurance. Showed up for our appointment and they tell us that we are not in network!! Said they left a voicemail. Wife checked, no voicemail. Thanks for wasting my time and gas for the 20 mile round trip!!! read more

I brought my 14 yo goddaughter in for an exam today. Dr Gentry and her staff were wonderful! From the multiple text reminders about the appt, to opening a few minutes early so we could fill out the new patient form. We were seen exactly at our scheduled time. My goddaughter is very shy, but she was patient and able to 'reach' her. Definitely recommend if you are in the market for a new provider. And they take Tricare read more

Dr. Barondes was fantastic with my 4 year old. My daughter was hyper and having a hard time focusing on the exam, I was feeling anxious over the bad timing of her active mood and Dr. Barondes was calm and kind and handled the entire exam well beyond my expectations. The office is beautiful and welcoming with so many nice touches and the front desk staff kind and helpful. Highly recommend! read more

I have been coming here for three years now. There is always an appointment for the time that I need. I've only experienced a wait during one office visit. I usually see Dr. B but I saw someone else for this visit. The new Dr was just as nice and knowledgeable. My family comes here as well and I will be bringing my daughter in for an exam soon. read more

Took my kids here to get eye exam and bought glasses. Easy to schedule. The doctor was great with the kids. Everyone was friendly and attentive the entire time. Even the fellow customers were a treat to chat with while we were in the wait room. Good range of glasses to choose from. Glasses came fast, within a week, and the kids were able to enjoy their new eyewear. read more

I went in there with my friend and we both got same day appointments, which surprised me. Staff and doctor were very customer oriented and took care of us. The clinic accepts Tricare, which is a plus. They don't pressure you to purchase the glasses from them. The clinic is new and thus everything looks stylish. read more

I love how clean the lobby and office areas are and felt very well taken care of throughout the process!

Ok experience and slim selection on eyewear. A little frustrated that you have to pay $5 to have your prescription reprinted after paying for an eye exam. Asked to have it emailed and was told no but they could fax it to and unknown fax number. Maybe I would be ok with paying $1 but $5 just to print and then you can't email it is just crazy to me. That $5 fee lost you a family of 5 business. read more

Saw Dr. B today after neglecting my eyes for 12 years. I have severe anxiety and was sweating nervous. She was personable, warm and made me feel very much at ease. The entire process was relaxed and easy. Overall, couldn't have been a better experience. Also, shoutout to the girls up front who helped me decide on glasses. Thank you all! read more

While the exam itself went well I was financially scammed by this place and I am not sure why. I scheduled a routine eye exam here for the first time and was told 3 times, (before, during and at check out) that my total would be a $15 copay plus a $39 upgrade fee I agreed to. When done I paid the $54 and left. The next day I got a call saying that because I was given a prescription for glasses (that I did not ask for) and because there were some questions about family history and eye health involved there would be an extra $60 charge. This was because prescriptions (which again I did not ask for) and eye health questions are not covered as routine exam charges. I have had annual eye exams for years with similar places and never ran into this. Those services were always covered under a routine exam and if anything provided was going to be extra I should have been asked and advised during the service and not the day after when they looked back to see what they did. When I called back one more time to dispute the additional unauthorized charges to my card, I was basically told I was just out of luck. read more

It was time for my yearly checkup so I decided to revisit this location and I was not disappointed! Everyone was friendly, the doctor genuinely cared about my eyesight, nothing was rushed, and I love my new glasses! I'll be coming here for all of my eye appointments and glasses needs moving forward. read more

Absolutely amazing staff! Everyone from the front desk to the doctor was kind and friendly. Best experience I have ever had visiting an optometrist. Would absolutely come see them again! read more

My husband took our 7 year old and said that it was the best experience he's had for pediatric at EyeCare. (Between the two of us we have 9 kids and 5 grandchildren). Not only was the doctor friendly, personable, and kid friendly, they had his glasses picked out and ready by the end of the business day. We highly recommend InSight EyeCare!! read more

My entire family comes here and they have given us excellent customer service. I highly recommend InSight EyeCare!!!

Great family owned business. We have ordered 2 pairs of eye wear from them and the service was great! If you are looking to support a locally owned family business , this is the one! Will use them again. read more

I have been going to optometrists for the past thirty years. I have never had an eye examination as thorough as I did with Dr. Barondes. After the examining my eyes she took all the time I needed to fully explain my eye health and answer all of my questions in detail that I have never received from any previous doctor. It was a great experience from the beginning in interacting with the office staff, eye technician and doctor all of them putting me at ease and comfortable. I would recommend Dr. Barondes to anyone needing an optometrist. read more

They called me to inform me my wife's glasses were ready to pick up. I inquired about mine since we went in together and they told me they were not in. Days later they still weren't there and no one called to update me on the status as they said they would. Now they are saying that I can only get a refund on my frames and not the lenses even though I have neither. Not the service I was expecting after having such a great initial visit. I get better updates from the VA. read more

only go here!!!! Their customer service is amazing. Their very eager to help you choose the right glasses if you can't decide. I have been going here for years and couldn't imagine going anywhere else. They have 2 locations in San Antonio and I have been to both and both are just as amazing! read more

Very patient with my son who is a new contacts wearer. Never made him feel pressured but instead relaxed.

I was upset because I showed up at 9:00 for my appointment and by 9:20 nobody was there. I ended up not being seen because I left, but the owner called me himself to apologize and that means a lot to me. We're all busy and things happen that we can't control, but a little better organization on their part could have prevented it. read more

I accompanied by husband to In Sight for his eye exam. The first thing I noticed was how friendly the staff was. They were like a breath of fresh air after what we experienced at a different clinic! My husband said he had a very good and thorough exam by Dr. Barondes and was very impressed. The entire staff really knows how to take care of and treat patients. It looks like we found a new place to go for our eye care. Keep up the good work! read more

I needed glasses along time, buying the dollar readers wasn't working. I stoped at a couple of places. Looked at glasses. Didn't feel comfortable. Then one day I came in here. I felt comfortable. I met Dr. Barondes, and her staff. I made a appointment. That was 4 yrs ago. If I need anything at all from cleaning to replacing screws. I just walk in. It's the same staff. Everyone their has all ways been their. I am going to get my third pair of glasses next month. I will be coming here. I would go without glasses before I would go anywhere else. I am picky about my eyes. read more

My boyfriend and I had a great experience here. They were very knowledgeable and clean. Prices were not overpriced, would definitely recommend this office. read more

Wife went in to fix glasses we got there last year. They talked her into just buying a new pair. My wife gave the insurance card used for the past two years. No changes have been made to my policy. Come to find out.. They did not select the same insurance that was used previously and charged my wife $530.00 for a pair of glasses. My wife came home and showed me the bill. I went to their office to see what happened. They realized that the insurance was not selected and said they would look into it and call me back. I was called back and told the order was already processed at the lab so there is nothing they can do. I asked if we could fix this and was told I would have to pay an additional restocking fee. What is up with this business? I feel very ripped off! Very unprofessional and appears shady. Not at all happy with their service! Be careful when dealing with this place. It may cost you more than you think! read more

Walked in, set an appointment for the same day. I know this will not be the case always but it was nice. The staff was pleasant and Dr. Barondes was awesome. I will add that I am an easy patient, hope they are like this even w/the more difficult patients. Customer service makes and breaks businesses. Yes, I recommend highly and hope that the changes they make in the future will be for improvement and not the other way around. read more

I walked in on a Saturday and they were so nice to squeeze me in! They had a ton of eye glass choices and of course my favorite, Ray Bans! Dr. Barondes was awesome and got my eye sight to 20/20! The staff helped me understand my insurance as well. They were very reasonable and I got my Ray Bans! Now I can see so much better at work and when I drive. Thank you InSight EyeCare!!!! read more
