We have a large 30ish foot Crepe Myrtle, a giant grapefruit tree, an orange tree, lemon tree, and a rose vine that had climbed up and interlaced with the Myrtle. I filled out a contact request on Yelp, had a response in a few minutes, and was texting Eric shortly after that. He swung by for the estimate the same day. He was courteous, communicative, and was able to quickly deliver a quote. He was less expensive than the previous quotes I received, but you wouldn't know it by the quality of the service. His crew showed up on time ready to work. The took roughly 10-15 ' off the Myrtle, removed the rose thing, and did a great job thinning and trimming the rest of our citrus trees. From the time he texted me to say he was on site, to the time the cleanup was done and they were pulling away wasn't much over an hour. His crew works fast/efficiently, and everything was done EXACTLY how I asked. We'll definitely be calling them back for annual or bi-annual tree maintenance and to handle the parkway trees the City of Long Beach can't seem to be bothered to tend to. Eric and the team removed a big diseased magnolia tree in our backyard for a fair price. Eric first came to check it out and give a quote, and then scheduled it in just a couple days. They did great work, were careful of the nearby brick walls, and ground the stump afterward. The chainsaw master sliced a couple of slabs from the trunk so I could turn them into side tables. A few weeks later I was leveling out that part of the yard and ran into a few big roots that were hiding just beneath the surface. They were going to prevent me from getting that part of the yard level, and they were way to big for me to get rid of with the tools I had on hand. I told Eric about it and he was very apologetic. He came out as soon as he could the next morning with a stump grinder and made sure the whole area was root free. These guys are great and I'll be calling them again for any tree trimming/removal needs. read more

I called Eric for a quote and he asked me to send pictures of the trees in question. Quote was returned within an hour and I agreed to have him and his crew come out the following day to remove two trees (cut and stump grinding). They removed the trees in about two hours, cleaned up, and were on their way. Once they were gone I tried turning on the sprinklers and notice that water was spewing out near where the tree use to be...and after digging down a little notice that 2 of the PVC pipes were broken. I gave Eric a call and he agreed to come back the following business day to have it fixed. Everything working great now! Our dwarf laurel bay tree reached 15-20 feet in height with branches hanging over and touching our roof. I called Octavio's and spoke with Erik to find out about what is involved in removing the tree. He had me send some photos to him and he called me back. We scheduled an appointment. Within an hour Erik called back to say that the crew in our area is finishing sooner than scheduled and could be here in an hour. They came and removed the tree completely and vey quickly. The workers were friendly and efficient. In addition, they cleaned up the site and left it in better condition than before they came. Eric and his crew are just finishing up trimming at 20ft oak and removing a 30ft chokecherry that was planted way too close to the house. They have done an excellent job. They were here on time.
