Burger and a beer, not bad for an out of the Establishment. Prompt service and decent food. Definitely worth a try.

Jan 2,2026 2:15pm MST. Sat at the bar for 10 minutes waiting to be waited on. Bartender with black hair and black beard couldn't be bothered. Talked to several customers in phony bartender talk. Even washed glasses while I was 5 ft from him. No greeting, no service!!! Welcome to Bouse Arizona hospitality. Don't go to this place!!!! Later in the day, I talked to the owner on the phone. He told me his problems and I now understand. I was thought to be a part of a large group of UTV riders who swamped the place, even though I was just a hungry motorist passing through. NEVER AGAIN!!! We were hungry, and this looked like a funky bar where a person could generally find a gem of a burger--NOT! I wish I had chewed on my flip-flop and waited for the next town. The bartender brought our waters and menus, took our order, dropped off two draft beers, and shortly thereafter, loudly announced to a patron just how sick he had been and still was! With pints to our lips, we stared at each other in shock. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but it still took an hour to get two burgers w/fries. As we waited in anticipation of a hot, juicy, beefy-tasting cheeseburger, we discussed what curd we would be coming down with in about three days. Flu? COVID? Common cold? Streptagonacoccus? When Typhoid Marty finally brought our meal, it was a disaster--one of the five worst burger combos of all time. The buns were dry and cold, and the burger was cooked to a puck, yet cold. The fries were a soggy pile of limp, cold, greasy, nastiness, and one order was wrong. We didn't say anything because we didn't want you-know-who near us again. Save yourself, don't stop! P.S. I've been passing through Bouse, AZ & I've seen ocotillo lounge & decided to stop in with family. It has a nice bar, nice old style western aesthetic to the decor. The service was good, but the prices are outrageously expensive and it took awhile for our order to arrive and it wasn't busy so I don't know why the delay. It has a motel adjacent to the lounge not sure if it's the same owner. I gave it 3 stars due to slow service, high prices, & overall eh not memorable at all I definitely wouldn't go back nor reccomend this place unless your hungry and can't wait to eat even though 15-20 min away is Parker, AZ with several Choices to choose from. read more

Couldn't really tell you because the owner won't let service dogs in. He said call the cops which sucks because as he very well knows the cops are at least 30 minutes away and I would never call them for a service dog call. I have myofacial pain syndrome plus quite a few other things I could go into great detail about but the owner didn't care. No service dogs,ever. Which sucks, because I'm in Bouse alone till April. So thanks George,it's bad enough to deal with my medical issues at the age of 51 but to deal with anything else makes it even better. Appreciate it read more

Food was really just ok, typical bar food. I think John Taffer needs to visit. The owner refused to allow our certified service dog in. Owner doesn't give a shit about federal law and American Disability Act laws. Made sit outside on front patio. It was a little cold but doable. So we love little dive bars, and the Ocotilla qualifies. We went for Taco Tuesday,which we ok. The hamburger my wife had was really good. So what makes it a 5 star? We sat at the bar and laughed all night. Sandy behind the bar was phenomenal. Her banter with the locals was priceless. And let's talk about pricing. The food was priced fairly, and the cocktails were a good pour at a good price. I'm not a big dessert guy, but, I had this feeling. Sandy said it's a secret family recipe and its incredible! So it's Valentine's Day and we were looking for a place to get a few drinks and something to eat. I had been wanting to try this place and with the yelp reviews and the pictures that other reviewers had posted I figured now was the time. When we entered the big race was on television and several locals were sitting at the bar watching it. That is always a plus for me to find locals inside a restaurant. Our drink orders were taken and menus were handed out right away. The food and drinks were good and we never waited long for anything. The cook asked us if we needed anything and there seemed to be pride in the food that was delivered. The bartender was funny and we got several laughs during our time here. It was a great experience overall and we plan to return. The pictures of the place by other reviewers are pretty much spot on with the décor. read more

Carpets not vacuumed, ancient beds, chocolate on the sheets, bathroom disgusting. 4 channels on a 14 inch console tv and zero amenities. No coffee pot or microwave. Small local bar with good drinks and food. We stopped in for lunch and a beverage and took a seat at the bar. The place was all but empty (it was late for breakfast and early for lunch about 11 AM) but they were ready to serve up drinks and cook us up some lunch. Beer selection was good, prices were reasonable and the bartender was prompt but not overly friendly/chatty. The bacon cheeseburger I ordered came out quickly, looked good, and came with fresh cut fries. We have been traveling a lot and I have ordered several burgers during our travels and many have been horrible disappointments, not at Ocotillo. This was better than most if not all that I have had lately. Plenty of beef and bacon, cooked perfectly and very tasty. The fresh cut fries were cooked and seasoned properly, flavor and crisp were great. I will definitely come back to the Ocotillo for a burger next time I am in the area. read more

How are there not more AWFUL reviews of the lodge maybe even reported to the BBB for a health hazard???Support your local businesses but NOT this one. Yea I wouldn't eat here after seeing the state of the rooms they rent out under the same name and business next door. Sheets not cleaned from previous people with food crumbs, rocks, mystery stains and cigarette burns. Absolutely disgusting smelly room. Carpets are filthy and I cut my foot on a piece of broken glass. Pubes in the shower and spit all over the sink mirror, garbage and mold behind the toilet that's sitting on a piece of wood. A bathroom door that's been kicked in and being held together by scotch tape and now doesn't even close. Stains all over the box springs, and pillows are basically brown with stains. Found some kids toys from the 90s by the side of the bed which goes to show they have probably never properly cleaned it.... Another mystery stain on the mini fridge (which was also disgustingly dirty and sticky inside) Not to mention there is only one outlet in the entire room and if you turn off the light switch to go to bed you also turn off the TV and the fridge..... you're right next to the highway and the semi trucks that drive by are louder than the train that come 4x a night. So save yourself the criminal price of $60-65 a night and stay in your car or drive the 30mins to the next town otherwise you'll be feeling sick with something you catch from this place. You get 1 star because that's the lowest I could give. And it's for the brand new AC unit and the no bugs (at least that I could see) read more

The food is good, but I feel that any business flying a flag that is political is discouraging about 1/3 of their business. (POOR business practice) we have spent well over $1000 there in the last 3 months and had I seen their F.*** Biden flag, they wouldn't have gotten a dime of our money. read more

I stayed two night. The first night I woke to find bug bites on my arm and ankle. Not just a few, but 30+. I packed up in the middle of the next night and left. I got home and still had bug bites appearing. I bug bombed the entire house and truck. I think I got rid of them. Stay in your car or sleep outside before ever using this bug infested place. read more

The Motel is awful! We stayed 3 nights, The shower was stuck in HOT and the water temperature could not be adjusted. Turning the shower on and off was almost impossible. We informed the bar it was broken and it was never fixed. The shower curtain had 12 inches of orange mold on the bottom. Absolutely no house keeping. On the second night we empty our own trash in the dumpster by the bar. The beds weren't made ( not a big deal) no fresh towels the entire stay. And the toilet paper ran out the second night (good thing we just happen to have some with us). We even left a note and tip on the first day, requesting toilet paper & towels, the tip was take. read more

The place is nice and the help is friendly. With just a little bit of more effort in the food part would really make a different. It's like they only want to try so much. Most of all the coffee is so weak could barley make out the coffee taste. The is the place for local happenings in Bouse. They have weekday dinner specials each evening which are known throughout Bouse and draw a crowd. We generally visit on Wednesday evening for the $1.70 taco special. This is certainly the location for local information and local humor. This is NOT fast food. It took an hour for us to receive our tacos. It took the same amount of time last year too. So order your drinks and expect a wait, just enjoy the atmosphere and the conversations around you. My wife ordered the taco salad, also a Wednesday special. We both enjoyed our meals and will return. read more

Well, we came here once and have been here every day since. It's a little dark, a little funky, a great happy hour. $2 corona and wine. Food is delicious and very reasonably priced. I came down to Bouse with my sister to visit her daughter who lives here year around and they were nice enough to pay for us to stay at this motel for the week. They were told that is now their off season so if we needed any room service we would need to let them know. We arrived late Tuesday night and were tired so we didn't notice anything other than holes in the sheets and a dirty bathroom. I went over to the bar the next day to ask for clean sheets and towels and toilet paper. I was told that the house cleaner was sick, but he did give me two rolls of toilet paper. I told him that if we could just get clean towels and the sheets that I would put the sheets on myself. We have also called and talked to the owner that my niece's husband knows, but it is now Saturday and we still have nothing other than TP! This place is dirty it hasn't been vacuumed and the lock on the door is a joke. There is also a very vintage TV in the room that doesn't work. We went to the local Dollar store and bought washcloths and a coffee pot which only cost us $13, but you'd think that they would supply one for their guests! Not to mention the cactus out front that stab you as you walk by to unlock your door! At this point I think my niece and husband deserve a full refund! I don't even want to try the bar or the restaurant and if I could give a zero star review I would! read more

Dollar draft Rolling Rocks every day. Very fun atmosphere in this desert bar. Food here most days. May be the only place in Bouse, AZ but worth the drive from Quartzsite. Penny bar with a gazillion pennies sealed to the bar top. read more
