I visited the roadrunner over the weekend to inquire about a deposit I had made last April and see if they still had it for me not expecting it from my years of experience there. The bar manager Jenica was not only happy to return it to me, she remembered my event and happily gave me a gift card. We really enjoyed the smoked wings and great service from everyone. Heard a lot about this spot. For sure a fun place. Floating dock is fun. Just went in to have a drink. They have a pool that anyone can use looks crowded but fun. It is right over the water. Service was a little spotty but it was busy. I'm sure they should be used to that though. Our server was friendly but she never came to see if we wanted more and we had to track her down to pay. As it is on a floating dock, note that during the summer months - it can be quite warm...or shall I say pretty hot! The server we had was really nice! She was friendly and super informative on Parker in general. We decided on a Steak Quesadilla app just as a snack. The kitchen at times may take a while to get your food to you - so be patient. When we got our quesadilla, the portion size was really good. Four of us shared this one app! First time here and definitely won't be my last! We took a weekend trip to the river this weekend and decided to bar hop along the river with some friends. I love being able to pull up and park your boat along the dock or on shore and run in for a drink or in this case a dip in the pool they have inside the bar. There is even a bar that is basically in the pool so you don't have to get out of the pool to get a drink. They play great music and have fun plastic souvenir cups for some of their drinks. It was a great spot to stop at before heading back to the trailer at sunset and we will definitely be back again next river trip we do! read more

That said, the service was pretty slow when we went, and it wasn't very easy with a dog because of the crowds and dock setup. I live in Phoenix, but I always stop at the Roadrunner to take a break on the drive to Laughlin or Vegas or... It's fun to sit at a table with the mighty Colorado River flowing under your feet. In the Summer there are the beauties in bikinis and roar of the occasional powerboat flying by. Park your Waverunner at the dock and have a huge burger and large fries. We decided to try the new and remodeled Road Runner that used to be just the floating dock. Now it a booming party with multiple lounging areas, a live DJ, poolside bar, saltwater pool and the floating dock. There is so much going on here and it can be heard from a mile away. If you want to party on the river this is the place, but for people more reserved like me, this place is too loud and hectic. We visited the roadrunner floating resort in Parker AZ at 1pm on Thursday. it's off season so there wasn't a big crowd in the bar. 6 to 8 customers a couple at the bar and a few at thtables it's happy hour every day during the week.The bar is very impressive with TVs and friendly bartender and waiters. Very comfortable casual vibe's with unbelievable views of the Colorado river. This place in the summertime would be jumping 3 outdoor levels for fun a stage for entertainment expansive outdoor dining all with beautiful views of the river. We were hungry the 3 dollar carne asada tacos looked and were delicious the salsa was excellent as well. 2 dollar Ice cold domestic draft 6 dollar pitchers it was great lunch everyone was friendly great atmosphere. We had our dog with us very pet friendly, spent a couple hours enjoying the brews, river views, tacos, sun, and new friends. The bar had a steady stream of local customers with pets coming for the everyday happy hour specials. Have been coming here for over 30 years and the new renovations are amazing!!! Food is great, ambiance is amazing! Roadrunner is one of one 3 floating bars on the Parker Strip! We have always loved this place! They are dog friendly in a portion of the bar, (they even brought us a bowl of water for our sweet pup!) they have a floating portion, and upstairs, a new swimming pool that overlooks the river. The food is delicious and they deliver it to wherever you're sitting. There are 3+ bars you can order from so you never have to wait for a drink and everyone at the river is so happy enjoying their vaycay! They also have a little store so you can pick up some swag for your memories! There are docks you can drive your boat up to, or a sandy beach if you prefer to pull your boat or skis up on the sand! On the weekend there are DJs, too! This is definitely the place to be if you are visiting Parker, Az! read more

This place has a great location. But thats about it. The drinks are subpar and EXTREMELY overpriced. If you are going to pay 14-16$ per cocktail it better be a craft homemade cocktail not a bunch of canned juices and bottom shelf rum. I would pay 8$ top for the flavors they are serving. Finally got to check out the new Roadrunner for lunch today, it was great! Chris was our server and he was so fun and gave us great service. He talked to my young daughters just like he did the adults (most servers ignore kids) and was so kind and attentive! The restroom are SO much better now, so clean and big. The entire place was clean! The pool was closed while we were there so I can't comment on that. I had the chicken tacos, big portion, and roadrunner ale, yum! We of course had to buy new RR hats and tanks. Linda in the boutique was unbelievably sweet and helpful. Loved chatting with her about the old school River. Overall we had a great experience. Visited 4/25/2024 Well finely made it here to see how the New Roadrunner compares to The Old Original Oldschool Floating Dock Bar us old Timers Loved. First they put a lot of time and money into making it fresh, clean and nice looking. The new dock bar doesn't have that enjoyable oldschool feeling with mostly windows instead of that Great Open Dock to River Feel of yesteryears. It's Nicely done and like being at a resort not a open river beach bar. I hear the food Is good but I haven't tried it yet so I'll update my review at a later date. It is a nice place for a visit but out of the four On the water Bars on the Parker Strip it doesn't have the nostalgia of the Floating Dock Bars of the 60s and 70s. I rate it 3rd for Oldschool Feel behind Fox's and Sundance where the party lives on day and night. It's a tie with The Pirates Den. Both have a place on The Strip if that's what you like. A Solid 3 1/2 to 4 Stars. Perhaps more after we see how the food and Restaurant turn out. It's worth a stop bar hopping your way up the River. read more

I grew up in this area and booked a weekend trip to enjoy the river with the family. We were looking forward to not cooking and eating at Roadrunner since it was close by. I'm guessing all the positive reviews are locals, friends and family bc this place was horrific. We gave it a good shot but it is not visitor or tourist friendly. It seems to be a local place and they clearly want to keep it that way. First night we ordered food, terrible service, staff visibly irritated and disinterested. Food took over 45 minutes and was bad. Do not ever eat the meatloaf sandwich, it was inedible and we tossed it out. We visited the pool day 2, ignored by pool servers for an hour. Went to the bar for drinks, ignored by bartenders at first bar, went to the floating bar where bartender had to get off their phone to acknowledge us and allow us to order drinks. Drinks were below average tasting. Not worth it. Our group was over it at this point and did a DoorDash delivery for food and alcohol and made our own food and drinks for the rest of the trip. I highly recommend you bring your own stock and avoid this place. We all agreed we had a great trip except for our visits to the Roadrunner. We really were hoping this would have been a fun spot to enjoy as part of our river trip. Disappointing, don't waste any of your trip like we did. read more

Not really sure how I feel about it so here's what I saw: - menu was marginal -hamburger was good -fries were cold - service was ok - the design makes the place a wind tunnel. It was colder then the fries -doesn't have that old river rat feel to it I'm giving it 5 stars because they did a huge amount of work on the place and it looks good. No one should have to wait 3 hours for breakfast. After 3 hours the food we received wasn't ours. That prompted us to ask for a refund of our order and the employees admitted they didn't know what we ordered and we needed to use a text message with a time stamp of 10:40am. Visited last weekend, started of great with Bartender Ken on Saturday with their signature Hangover Helper bloody mary's that were advertised with Bacon, and we ordered Tiki pork tacos that we excellent, this round was so tasty that we decided to return on Sunday and that is when it went south. Both times the bar was not busy almost empty. We sat down ordered a round of Bloody Mary's when they arrived they did not have bacon, I would like to prefix that when we we asked Gabby our waitress if they came with bacon, we were calm and merely made a small question/ statement, in no way was out table rude, confrontational or aggressive, which is what has prompted me to leave this review, yet she gave us a smart mouth answer that "the bar didn't really want them to put the bacon in and they weren't suppose to offer it" as we started to answer back, we offered to buy a side of bacon, she mumbles something under her breath, rolls her eyes and walked away leave me talking to my self. She came back with 3 pieces of bacon, we ordered our food ( which was excellent), ordered another round of the same to which we brought out again without bacon, as we brought it up again, she did the same thing mouthing off something as she stormed away. This time our friend was taken back by her behavior and was going to address the issue, but he let it slide once more. We finished our lunch and ordered a pitcher of beer for the table. It took almost 15 mins for the pitcher to arrive, when it came time for the check to arrive, it was all digital and she wanted us to pay right then and there without being able to look at an itemized bill prior. We asked for a bill prior to ensure it was correct and since it was going to be split among friends, she then again stormed off mumbling and then proceeded to lay the bill on the bar, yell from across the bar " you bill is right here" for us to get up and go get it. Needless to say, this revamp of Roadrunner has been a wonderful upgrade and they seem to offer a good product, however its staff that can make or break it. This time around, our waitress was not leaving us in a mood to return anytime soon. Customer service and interaction was not her strong suit on this particular day. read more

JJ and Michael were absolutely fantastic -- friendly, attentive, and genuinely made an effort to make us feel welcome. Their service stood out in the best way. Aside from JJ and Michael, the rest of the service felt inattentive and disorganized.
