Known for its Famous Smoked Beer Can Chicken, Famous Chicken Pot Pies and Slow Smoked Ribs this Dive Bar serves some tasty chow. I'll be trying The Chicken Pot Pie out next time. Friendly Staff and live music on the weekends makes for a good choice for a meal. Only letdown is it's not on the river itself. The staff and locals we encountered were super friendly and pleasant to chat with. The Bartender was cool and helpful answering all our questions. First don't expect anything special. It's a diner menu and could use some help in the kitchen. We tried an appetizer The Cheese Curds. They were seasoned nicely and served piping hot but not creamy and smooth. Everything is served with packaged Sauces. Unfortunately most everything was very Greasy to the touch. I had the Fish & Chips. Smallest Serving I've ever been served for a dinner. Fish was far overcooked and dry inside. Loretta had the Fried Shrimp Basket and a Side Salad. she paid extra to have onion rings instead of fries. Rings were crispy and not bad. The Shrimp was the Best thing we ordered. Cooked perfectly tender and Not Greasy. Sadly The Fries were Super Dripping in Grease. Very Limp with no crunch. Terrible Fries. Prices were not bad at today's standards. The Special Birria was very good for a third attempt and just lacking a traditional side of diced onions and cilantro to top the tacos as Traditional Birria is presented. Still Very Good, Tender and Juicy. Comes with A nice side of Birria Consume for Dipping. The side orders of Beans and Rice were tasty but the rice was overpriced at $6.50 for such a Small Serving. The Beans were Priced at $3.65 and were a tad on thin side but had excellent flavor. Wish they sold a complete Plate like most restaurants do instead of charging what should be included with Tacos for $5.25 Each. ‍ All in All they were Worth the price for the tacos . I'll be back for them the next time they have them.

The waitress was incredibly friendly and when she brought the food she talked about how happy she was when the owner was cooking because the food comes out great! Boy, she wasn't kidding! One day, surprisingly, you hear rumblings about one of the owners being moderately homophobic. Noooo...that can't be true! They've always treated you kindly enough. Moving on... You spend $10 buying a tile to decorate that will get hung in the bathroom. Super gay, you paint the tile in the most rainbow fashion possible. Once you complete your tile & turn it in, the next time you come in, you're given your tile back with a note that's supposed to be from the owner, saying your tile has been ruined & they're "sorry". Amazingly...that note was written in handwriting that's not the owner but seems very similar to another bartender. If I'm wrong....please let me know. Do I get my money back? Do you ignore what happened? Do you ignore the amazingly strange occurrence re: perceived homophobic behavior? I tried to bring it up with the bartender on duty (& remedy the situation before coming to Facebook) and was told "NO WAY that could be true." This has gone from being one of my favorite places to something that brings me heartbreak At this point, it's 0/10 WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND!!!! Later in the night our designated driver who had only been drinking water was kicked out too for "drinking too much"... Throughout the night we saw one particular bouncer being directed towards certain people to be removed... It was clear a couple of "guests" had their preference on who could be there and who couldn't. After reading other reviews, it looks like this is a common occurrence. In a group of multiple bartenders, we understand the responsibility of an establishment to protect their business, but this was clearly intentional targeting. Also - the bartenders were lovely and the bouncer at the front was also wonderful, it was just a few bad apples and some "mean girl" regulars, but unfortunately we still don't want to support any business that is okay with this. Talking to people in town it seems like this place has an even deeper reputation we were not aware of. We won't be back - but if you go, be safe and aware of your surroundings (especially ladies) !!
