DO NOT GO HERE! I don't know where to even begin. I have the same struggle as most women, can't find a reliable, good quality place to get a simple pedicure and gel mani. The technician pressured me to get dip instead of gel which came out AWFUL. And after filing my nails to stubs and the color being horrible, she then told me she can fix it by putting a coat of gel polish on top. And after all of that, she cut my thumb nail which bled and she did not even attempt to clean or stop the bleeding. And the pedicure - LADIES SAVE YOURSELF. I have been getting pedis my entire life and never had an infection let alone something like this. The lady used the dirty plastic wrapper from the nail file to apply lotion to my foot..see the pics I know, it's hard to believe. My toe is swollen with puss, red and BLACK. I am on vacation and cannot put a sneaker on. And after the manager argued me for an hour she told me "I'll take half of the manicure off since you bled" like that's doing me a giant favor and shes a great manager. I got my nails done for my cruise on June 20th, I did dip powder and I was very pleased with the results but on June 24th I was doing my hair and my nail fell off like it was an acrylic, the whole nail fell off which shouldn't have happened with dip nails, especially if my nails were done correctly. Especially because they fell off less than a week after I got them done. Another nail of mine fell off the next day. When I got back from my cruise I went back to the shop and told them about what happened and they told me that it happened because of the oils in my nail which I've never heard before. I told them I'd like to just get the nails removed and a gel polish over because it was obvious that my nails weren't going to last at all. I asked to then just get gel polish on my nails. This is one of the worst pedicures I've ever had, the cleanse, "massage", and exfoliation wasn't done step by step -- she threw it all into one and massaged me with exfoliant which was so uncomfortable my legs were turning red, so she stopped, rinsed and just put a towel on my legs. No lotion was even applied after that, or massage even finished like my friend next to me received. We purchased the SAME pedi, but received a totally different experience (she had Mikita -- who was so wonderful to her). Next I was moved to get my acrylic set on, with a new person (onto person number 3), who asks what I want and I showed her the picture from THEIR site. Without giving me a chance to look through the colors, she lets me know "I know what colors these are" and gets them. I wasn't even upset by this, I figured she knows her shop and products. The deep fall colors I wanted are NOT what she gave me, they are incorrect and my set looks like it's for Valentine's Day, and not Thanksgiving, though I will say, for the 30 mins or less she flew through putting this set on the shape wasn't the worst I've ever seen. Finally I was moved not to the privacy of the waxing room, or another area where I would lay down to have lashes applied, but right to the first PEDICURE chair in the front of the store for everyone to watch. This service was also performed by a completely different person having a total of four people throughout the visit. I explained this was my first try with lashes and I wasn't sure of the process other than my online research and videos I had reviewed, so I had just a few questions. That was ignored and I was told to just pick my length, I chose a medium length and fuller pieces (this was not the individual lashes and also not a strip, but a smaller version, something between the two aforementioned options) to be applied for a thick, but more natural look. During the process I felt my eye start to burn as she was forcefully holding my eye open during the application process and her nails digging into my forehead while I looked at the ceiling, at some point she dripped glue and my top and bottom lash was stuck together, being my first time I wasn't aware until she handed me a mirror and saw she applied lashes to my WATERLINE, not in the lashes, not on top of my lash line, the sensitive skin underneath my lashes and glue was getting into my eye every time I blinked. I told her this during the process and she told me "no it not", the lashes and glue made my eye so irritated I asked for them to be removed because I couldn't even blink correctly. At first they charged me for the lashes, and then when the shop manager (I'm guessing, but she was the one walking around and talking to everyone) heard my request to have them removed she quickly came over and shushed me, repeatedly stating she will refund the service, mind you at no point was any conversation even loud, and had the audacity to give me only a partial refund for the lashes. A product that was incorrectly applied, and I never received as I left without any lashes. Out of every service performed on 11/20/2021, for a total of $200.00, the ONLY thing that was satisfactory was the shape of my nails which last less than (24) hours. Nothing about this experience was positive and I would not recommend them to anyone! 3 out of the 4 "professionals" were rude during my experience, I brought photos of my expectations for reference, and to give a new nail shop a fair chance I chose them from their site and still didn't receive quality services performed, as a client I was not listened to and my opinions were disregarded, unacceptable for nails, brows, and lashes being put onto MY body, that I have to wear, and to top everything off, I researched the pricing from again, THEIR WEBSITE prior to my appointment to avoid any confusion and they still overcharged and had excuses as to why. Please learn from my HORRIFIC experience and save yourself a headache, your time, and your money. The set you see pictured on me cost $65, absolutely ridiculous -- that is the definition of a basic set, no gems, nothing more than gel. Oh and for each service performed, they don't tell you until AFTER that the gel is an additional $15 per service, so the $30 pedi comes to $45, and the $40 gel overlay acrylics, come to $65, the additional $10 being for (I'm guessing) the shape because no receipt was ever provided, so your guess is as good as mine. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE!! Hindsight is 20/20, and I truthfully think their website is stock photos, not work they are actually capable of doing. After discussing lashes with a friend of mine from where I had recently moved from, I also do not believe they are licensed to apply lashes, and are doing it anyways. read more

I went to Oceanside Nails and Spa after walking out of another nail place due to bad service. The business is located in a plaza and there is plenty of parking. Upon entering I was immediately greeted! Upon telling them the services I wanted (mani/pedi/eyebrows), I was directed to choose my color.... They have a variety colors, I found such pretty ones ... I was seated at a chair and started soaking my feet. The nail tech was very friendly and engaged in conversation with me. I had the same tech for mani/pedi. Someone else did my eyebrows and also was super friendly but most importantly they did a phenomenal job! During my services, I was offered a drink. I was super happy with this location and would definitely return. Oh and I can not forget to mention, the rates were GREAT! I definitely expected to pay a lot more. I would not recommend this place. The person who did my nails messed up a few times. I got a full set dip and a pedicure. The pedicure was fine. The full set was not the best. The person who did my dip messed up this one finger so the person had to dip it in the powder like four times. That nail feels very heavy compared to the others. Also, the job was very sloppy. One nail was not even. And I had red dye all over my skin. The person who attended to me mentioned that red color always makes a dye. I am going to say BS to that. I have gotten dip service in many other locations in the past and I I know I have gotten red before. No one else's work looked as sloppy as the one done today. The spa didn't even offer any drinks. Relatively the price is similar to other spas who offer the same services along with drinks. I would not recommend this place. read more

Went back to have the issue rectified and was met with staff who showed no concern for my experience. The people were really nice, but sadly, I was not impressed or satisfied with the results. They said they took over the shop a couple of years ago amd now owned by a married, young couple. Again, super friendly and enjoyed talking to them. For the pedicure - it was the worst one I've ever had. It was a middle aged lady but she did not know how to paint nails. She basically blotted on a bunch of nail polish making a huge mess then went back to clean it with polish remover. It wasn't even French and only a single pink color. When she cleaned it, there was still so much polish left around the skin. The top coat wasn't even painted on the whole nail. Pretty bad. I got the gel manicure (total with pedi was $55), and the male owner did it. It was fine but don't think he sealed all ends/tips very well so one nail did chip after like 3 days. For my cousin who did a dip mani, she wasn't happy either. Another middle aged lady did it and she painted well, but she cut my cousin's fingers a few times when cutting cuticles. There was blood on both hands. So, maybe needs more training? read more

I came at this place last friday to get gel on my natural long nails and the second day one already broke. So I scheduled an appointment for this Friday to fix all the nails that broke because of awful products. I told her I'll come around 6 and i got there at 6.09 and she was locking the door, saying I was late. Then I asked for a refund and she was so disrespectful saying " do you want me to wait here for you until tomorrow, honey?" she said they don't do refunds on bad services and i should go to another salon. She was so disrespectful and she was the owner. Don't expect good customer service from employees or the owner. Worst ever!!!!! I will never come again. I cannot believe how rude the owner was. Tucked away in a corner where it'd be easy to miss, this is a hidden gem in this plaza! While I've gotten decent pedicures and manicures, this place is at the top of the list of places I'd come back to! The atmosphere is very welcoming and relaxing. My nails were in need of a massive makeover as they looked like Godzilla claws after a battle! Went as a walk-in with my mum as a last minute decision. I can say I will return! My nail artists were friendly and maintained conversation with me while my nails were being completed. The chairs are relaxing and the best part is, they work! I don't know about anyone else, but when I go to a nail salon and get a pedicure and the seats don't work it's very disappointing. However, you won't have that a problem here! It's also very nice and tidy in the store and you don't see dust and dirt all over the place. Inside is kept nice and cool. They have different levels of pedicures which is nice to choose from. The starting pedicure is at 25$ for five dollars more (30$) you get a hot stone massage and four step moisturizer process. There were other levels of pedicures that you can find on their website! I can say spend the extra five dollars and get that stone massage!! It was so relaxing! Got the gel manicure and they did a stunning job. I like my nails nice and short; which they did a very nice job of evening out. Additionally I got my eyebrows done. Fantastic job of taking care of my caterpillar eyebrows. I'm so glad I did; I had a really nice experience here and would recommend to anyone in the Brandon/Riverview area. I didn't get my nail tech's name, but he was great. He got the shape right and helped me decide on a gold ombré style. He also checked in multiple times to ensure what he was doing was what I wanted, which I really appreciated. The staff all seemed nice and helpful, and the atmosphere was great. They have changed management 3 times but the service never changes. Staff is very nice, friendly and they really know what they're doing. Received a very young girl for my service then moved to a older lady because the you girl said she was not experienced enough. The second lady seems to be on a rush. Very ruff and did not remove the dead cuticles that needed to be removed. I don't think I will go back or recommend. I did chose a more expensive pedicure then the basic.
