5 star rating from someone who generally doesn't leave a review however I decided to bc I was thoroughly impressed by the cleanliness, pleasant staff and pricing ($35 for mani/pedi!) I came in as a walk in and was greeted and seated immediately. They use the disposable bags in the pedicure bowls and a new set of nail clippers and accessories for each client. Great experience loved how my reactive nails turned out changing colors, the staff was very nice and it was a relaxing environment. The spa is now called oceanside nails and spa. The price was reasonable and no wait time even though i was a walk in service. read more

This place is racist against blacks! I came in for a pedi aide & literally watched them use clean tools on a white woman next to me, then they used the SAME TOOLS NOT CLEAN on me! Totally not sanitized & not clean! Also not following tbt COVID-19 Guidelines every nail shop is to use clean tools on each individual client! Not share them around w/ strangers! I want to start by saying when you look up ocean side nail salon and you get to the destination, it is called creative nail salon. I'm NEVER the type to wrote reviews but I spent so much money and my nails are HORRIBLE!!!!! I got hell nail polish, the same LED lamp they used for my nails, they used on somebody else's feet. Every nail is a different length each nail is chunky and and shaped horribly also I have acrylic all over my fingers I had a full set before he didn't allow the first full set to dissolve all the way so he put a whole new set on top they are very unclean I spent 70$ on JUST NAILS and they look like I did them !!! I asked for stiletto shape on both of my pinky's, they're not even stiletto shaped, they're ugly. My jell fingernail polish has bubbles in it from lint and dust. Also, I asked for rhinestones on my pinky fingers and instead of filling my pinky finger with rhyme stones he put a glitter coat on the bottom and spaced out the rhyme stone all over my finger nail. Some might say, well if the job was so bad, why did you still pay? For one, I was in there for 2 and half hours process, second I didn't realize how bad they were til I got home. I am so upset and disappointed to the point where I want my money back. If nothing is done soon, I'm going to have to take it into my own hands. read more

If there was a way to give this less than 1 star, I would. I came here bc they have a large assortment of dip colors. But it's under new management and this man is a horrible person. First of all, they couldn't get the nails that I had on, off. And then when they did the dip powder, they were so thin and I work retail so I have to have strong nails, otherwise they come right off. So, they starting coming apart at the sides so I went back in and asked if he could give me a refund, which he denied and accused me of just trying to scam him and kill his business. He redid them, despite me but wanting anything to do with them at this point and this time they did dip powder with the stronger gel on top. I thought they'd last, but literally that same night at work, one broke. I wasn't surprised because when I looked at them further, they were easily bent (and tips shouldn't be able to do that...they never do when I go to other places). So I went back the next morning and I was nice and asked him for a refund bc the morning before when I asked, he said he wouldn't give me a refund until he did them one more time with a stronger gel on top. He started yelling at me and telling me that I obviously chipped them myself and I purposefully broke them. I work management...I'm not trying to help your business fail, I'm just dissatisfied and know what I would do with a dissatisfied customer and want the same respect. But no, he kept telling me that I was a liar and then the other employee (the woman) joined in and told me that I was just using them. He finally broke down and said that he'd give me $35 back, rather than the $40 I paid originally, because it's $5 to take the nails off and he didn't want me to walk around with "nice" nails (that are broken) and have also gotten a full refund. I didn't care about him taking them off bc I will honestly go to my regular place and have them redo them how they're supposed to be. The man also didn't give me my student discount when I originally paid, which is misleading bc I made an appt just so that I could get the 10% off. The prices on the board are wrong, they will manipulate their words and charge you more than you expect. Just an all around TERRIBLE PLACE!!!! I will NEVER return. I left shaking with anger and crying because of this man. A place of business should not be able to call you names and accuse you of being a thief/liar. read more

Today I went to Oceanview for a pedicure and waxing. I asked for the basic pedicure package. I did not expect the amazing attention I received. The owner made sure I was positioned comfortably in the chair and turned on the chair massage for me. The massage chairs were the best- gentle and relaxing with just the right amount of pressure. Julie did my pedicure. My feet are gorgeous now and her massage was incredible. A different person waxed my face. She was very thorough and skilled. The entire staff is clearly committed to the customer having a good experience. I will definitely go back next month. read more

Great place, relaxing atmosphere. I love Nexgen nails, seriously happy with not only the product but the fact that this place offers it. I would rate this place higher if not for the fact the Rude manicurist Gwen. She trash talks everyone, especially my favorite tech in particular. Just an overall bad attitude, I understand some Vietnamese and the way she was talking was very unprofessional, a bully. I would not want to work around her, stay away!! I have my one main girl Saya, I go to for my nails and lashes and she takes the best care of me. She takes much pride and dedication into her work and you can see it in this finished result. when i went here a week ago with my friends service was horrible! they told me that they were not able to put just one tip on my nail. that if they did one nail they had to do it on every nail. They told me that gel polish could not go on my nail by itself therefore i needed the tips. I started with one lady and I asked her not to file my nail down any shorter, and she did. Then the main guy put all the tips on my nails and he didn't push back my cuticles or anything. then another lady started painting my nails. She was probably the sweetest one in there! When we were done my bestfriend felt like the top coat reacted bad with her choice of color and bubbles were forming. I felt the nail and that's what it felt like. But everyone in the place said that we were wrong. Well she stayed as I went to go do something and the lady charged me wrong for my nails so she told me I needed to tip $18 to make it the right price for me. When we came back to get my friend she said that they didn't really talk to her and were rude about everything. I will not be returning to this nail salon and I hope other people will not return here either. read more

Completely dead, was the only client in the salon. Was a relaxing experience. However, the shallac application was terrible, the person got the wrong polish than what I picked out. Also, left polish all around my nail & some on my finger. Which I didn't notice till after. Then I noticed on my toes, the polish that was applied wasn't even at all & barely covered my nail in some areas. read more

Today was my first time visiting this salon, and I was very impressed to say the least! The salon is very beautiful inside, well-kept, and clean. Kim, the owner, was very welcoming and greeted me upon first walking in. She even texted me this morning before my appointment to see if I wanted to come in even earlier! I got the Nexgen manicure and Yvonne was the one who did my nails. She was very sweet, friendly, and just a really engaging and fun person to talk with the whole time! It felt like I was sitting down and talking with a friend. She did a fabulous job on my nails and they look so beautiful!!! I never felt rushed at all. When we got there there were a few people in chairs, one of the employees asked us what we wanted, and when we said two pedicures they said they were too busy and maybe we should come back later today... I said, no, that won't be happening. Good way to run off potential customers.. what might be better is "it might be an 30 min, would you like a water?" Fabulous job! I had the works done, nails, facial wax, and pedicure. Kim did everything for me. She was friendly and able to help me decide on what I wanted. She recommended the NexGen powder for my fingernails because I complained about how destroyed my nails were from another manicure somewhere else. My nails look fabulous and this stuff is all natural and organic, and lasts 3 weeks! I will definitely be coming here for all my beauty needs. The place was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. They now have new owners and it is not a pleasant experience! I walk in and two women were working only one person actually does nails so I was left with my nails soaking for over 30 minutes while she was doing another woman's nails then while filing my nails she took all the skin off of the tops of my fingers and made 2 of them bleed! Used to get my nails done here but one day I went in for a new color I was greeted by the Owner who said that she had appointments but she would fit me in as I was there with my nails soaking one of her customers came in and said oh you must've forgotten about me so not only did he have appointments that she forgot about but she also left me unattended as my fingers are burning in acetone she was also trying to balance to other customers the end result my nails were half assed done we still had color all over my fingers. Then she told me to come back tomorrow because she wasn't gonna be able to take care of me today. I had a very important party to attend to that night and how was I to go to somewhere with my hands looking so horrible. I never went back to the place. I went here the first time because it was close by. I got a gel manicure and had a good experience. The older lady doing my manicure was great, and my gels lasted a while. I was content with my first experience, so I went back a few weeks later. I got a dip and pedicure. When I walked in, there were 3 other customers there, all finishing up their service. My visit was started immediately, as there was an employee waiting for a customer. While I was there, several people "walked in", as is welcome and written on the window. There was only one customer that arrived with an appointment. I have no complaints about the employees. I got a good pedicure. It was my first dip, and I liked it at that point. I didn't like that they didn't clean up my cuticles, as they do with every other manicure. On my way out, after I paid, it really rubbed me the wrong way when the female owner asked me to get an appointment next time I come there. There were several other walk ins and they were not told the same. There should not be a sign outside inviting walk ins if they are not actually invited. read more

This was the WORST pedicure I've ever received in my entire life. There is no atmosphere, their polish selection is seriously lacking, the water was lukewarm at best...and about the service (or lack there of) I had a guy who had no idea what he was doing...seriously didn't even know how to polish nails, the woman had to step in and do them. I would classify the "pedicure" I received as more of a polish change, because they didn't even bother to clean up my cuticles!! I will NEVER return. read more

First time there today. TWO HOURS AND 45 MINUTES! That was with an appointment. Just to get a pedicure and a Nexgen manicure. My pedicure alone took over an hour and a half and my feet were still rough! WOW! My Nexgen looked like Easter egg colors! It was supposed to be NATURAL CLEAR COLOR. It was not. I was horribly upset with the unprofessional results and told the owner Kim so. She said "oh well they look better next time you come in." Then she tried to overcharge me for the whole mess. I argued with her that I was extremely unhappy with my service (and by then the shop was full of customers). Again, her attitude was "oh well, pay your bill and leave". This place is terrible. They do not listen to what you want. The quality of work is terrible and I would not recommend this place or ever go back there. BEWARE IF YOU CHOSE TO GO THERE ANYWAY! read more

I like to do my fingernails myself so I can only review the pedicures, but this place is amazing! There are five different options ranging from your basic pedicure ($22) to deluxe spa ones ($45). I highly recommend upgrading your pedicure - it's well worth the price! You can have a leg/foot massage, hot stones, paraffin treatment, scrubs, gels and more for just a little bit more. I never have felt rushed here, it's usually pretty calm weekdays before noon, no appointment necessary. The staff is very friendly and everything is clean! Big polish selection, too. read more
