I came in as a walk in to get almond shaped nails with gel polish. My main complaint is that the service was PAINFUL. The older woman who did my nails worked a little too fast and aggressive (drilling each nail in a rush and applying too much pressure while drilling). This left my fingers with burns and made 2 of my nails bleed, in which she did apply hydrogen peroxide spray. However, she did end up hurting me with the drill again. My fingers are left VERY sore and I don't see myself coming back or recommending to others. I should've atleast been given a discount. Also these look kind of almond but more like circles. I went in the morning this time and was met with what I can only assume is the teenage daughter of the owner who has a garbage attitude and did a garbage job on my nails. The first dip color I picked was not what came back in the jar either. The prices have increased substantially, both the owners are overbearing and I had the worse pedicure from the owner himself. He kept trying Sell me oN a $55 nail service package. Not only was he non-stop talking, my toenails were cut unevenly, I could not relax, and lastly they did not honor that days service with a stamp. They have a reward card that once filled up you receive $10 off your next service. I used it for today's service. It was already filled up from my services prior. Whenever I finally get around to having my nails done, this is the only place I trust. They're fast, professional, and always do a great job. The staff is always friendly and I love the modern decor of the inside. I've been to nail salons in the past where they've rushed through a job and left my cuticles cut up and stinging or where I've gotten the distinct impression that they were openly judging my bitten fingernails. I don't get that here. The prices are comparable to others in the area ($35 for a full set of pink and white nails and pedicures ranging from $18-$40). No problems here! My mom was visiting from out of town and wanted to treat us to mani-pedis. I generally do my own (I used to work for a podiatrist and I've seen too many problems) but she was really excited so we went. The gentleman that did my services did a great job. I will say, he used (and charged for) gel polish, which I did not ask for. This more than doubled the cost of the manicure. HOWEVER, I had never had gel before and now that I have seen the results, I won't do it any other way. A week later and my nails still look perfect. My pedicure was also well done. The tech that did my mom's services also did a great job. The salon is clean and well-kept, and very close to my home. Prices were reasonable. My only two little things were the thing with the gel (and maybe he did ask and I misunderstood), and then they also did not do our services together. I started with the mani and my mom started with the pedi and then we swapped. Ok, it's covid season, got it, so I made an appointment. Usually, I wouldn't but I also have a place I frequent and this place isn't it. I call on Thursday evening, about 6:30p, the lady took my number and name and informed me that she would call me back to schedule for Friday, never received a call. Made the appointment for Friday afternoon, @1700, for my daughter and myself to get our usual pedicures. We walk in and immediately asked to wash our hands, cool. We wash, sign waivers, and on to our seats. They seat my daughter while I still sign waivers, I go to my daughter and the nail tech asks if we are together, I reply as as he seats me next to her. As I sit, there is a lady that comes in after me and says she too has an appointment at the same time as mine 1700! Cool, well the nail tech for this lady... the same lady that didn't return my call for scheduling, same lady that I called the next day and scheduled, informed me that she would attend to the lady that showed up AFTER us that she had an appointment and at this time I informed her as did I for 1700 for TWO pedicures. The place was nice looking so I thought they were cleanly but I noticed they were going to use tools that were not sanitized and sterilized. They just rinse the tools and only sanitize in the morning is what I was told. I had to request that mine were sterilized first before using. This is how fungus can spread. Disappointed with that. I have finally found exceptional quality of work!!! I arrived as a walk in about a week ago . The staff were friendly. I then received the absolute best pedicure in all my life !!! Even better was that I only paid 40$ out the door and that included a French style paint and a 10$ well deserved tip. They offer 4 levels of pedicure service ( as most places do these days) I chose the 25$ one , I think it is called " the deluxe." I am still happily amazed by the excellent service I was given ! I went to Instyle today to get a french polish change on my gel color. After reading other favorable reviews I was extremely disappointed. When I first walked in I was promptly seated by a lady named Kim. She wrapped my nails in acetone and after less than a minute hastily removed my gel polish. Instead of letting it sit longer she used a coarse file to get it off as quickly as she possible. At the end of the gel removal my nails were peeling and had splinters on them. I should have stopped here but decided to give her another chance. She filed my nails numerous times but there were still lose pieces and uneven areas. Even when I pointed them out she acted like I was annoying her and didn't fix them correctly. When she went to start the polish change she asked me to select a color for the base. I selected a pink color from the samples and she brought me another color and told me she thought I would prefer that because the color I picked out had a hint on purple. I went with her suggestion and she proceeded to apply it very quickly without paying attention to detail. Since she applied the polish so quickly I looked at my nails and the polish was uneven and you could see brush marks on each nail. When I pointed it out to her she told me I should have went with the normal pink they use for a french manicure. Why wouldn't she mention this when I asked for a french manicure? She is the one who chose that color! She then added a coat of the normal pink they used and painted the tips white. At the end she put two coats of top coat and did it so fast that the Polish was sealed on my skin on every side. She noticed this and tried to cut the polish off my skin using cuticle cutters. All this did was cause me pain and she even cut my skin. She actually blamed me for this and said it was because my nails were short and I didn't want to pay for a manicure. I am sorry but I've had shorter nails and never had this happen. I've also never had somebody tell me I needed a manicure, in fact I've been told that it wasn't necessary. She finished everything including polish removal in 25 minutes. I've been to many other nail salons and never had them done in less than 45 minutes. It was a rushed job by somebody who obviously doesn't care about the customer or results. After this experience I don't see myself returning to Instyle. read more

Came here regularly with my mom. I've always had a good experience with whoever did my nails but the older woman who (appears) to run the place is ALWAYS so nasty and rude. Today was the final straw. She had an attitude with my mom for whatever reason. Telling her that we should've had an appointment if we didn't want to wait (which we didn't say a word about the wait). And then as my mom was walking to the colors to pick hers, the woman said "YOU'RE NOT FIRST, THE WOMAN WAITING BEHIND YOU IS." Well....she knew that.... just trying to get a color. Too bad.
