She helped me pick colors and even redid a nail without any fuss. She is very skilled and I asked her to color match the base so I can keep them on as long as possible and the grow out won't be bad. She is really amazing. The ambiance was amicable and friendly staff. I really recommend this place, it may not look like much at first but tbe price, skill, and quality is there. I found this Nail salon based on the other fellow yelp reviews. I came on a Thursday afternoon. All techs were with customers so there was a wait. I think i waited about 15 minutes until i was seated. The salon is spacious and had an ample amount of stations. The polish selections were large as well. I didn't get a chance to look at the menu. I ended up getting a basic pedicure. I was pleased to see that they used the liners in pedicure bowls. The tools they used also seemed clean fresh out the package, ready to use. I don't know the name of the tech that did my pedicure. He didn't introduce himself by stating his name nor did he have a name tag. They also didn't offer any wine or anything to drink. I'll start off by saying that I have been to this business to do my eyebrows before; every time as a walk-in... This last time, I made an appointment prior since I wanted to make sure I can get mani/pedi/eyebrows. I walked in and was not greeted instead the man just asked what I needed. I sit and no one communicated with me or even started to soak my feet. It wasn't until they overheard me saying (on the phone) 'I've been here 40 minutes and no one has really acknowledged me. I'm leaving.' Suddenly a worker acknowledged me and said she was almost done with her client. At that point it was too late... I made an appointment and it didn't even matter... I had my day mapped out to get things done timely and now I was delayed. I can't give you a fair review on their services as far as mani/pedi because I didn't get it done. Went in for mani/pedi and wax. My tech did not speak English (not a problem) but also didn't know what she was doing. Pedi was acceptable. Mani- no massage, cuticle oil, hand washing. When I asked her about it she didn't understand me. When I went for my wax, I asked that lady about it. I didn't really care about the massage, I was expecting oil and good care. She confronted the tech and made her give me the massage and put oil (after my manicure) then she added a topcoat. Btw I brought my own polish- my fingernails ended up tan colored a day or two later but not my toes. AND the other lady waxed off the end of my eyebrow! Which I didn't notice in the dark waxing room. So it's unfortunate because my first time in was really nice. However today they were incredibly busy, which I completely understand. I was seated immediately and just came in for a color change. It was my first time at this nail salon because it was recommended by a friend. I am completely satisfied with the service I received and I will be back again this could possibly become my go to nail salon during the duration of my stay here in Florida. One of the things that stood out to me is how clean the place is her you don't find that often especially in nail salons. They use liners in the pedicure tub's and all the pedicure tools are individually packaged and used once per client that alone is a major plus. I decided to stop by and check out Venus Nail Salon after receiving a coupon in a local magazine. I had never been prior, but noticed they were advertising "Under new management" Signs. Nail tech Katie was very friendly and thanked me for coming in and waiting. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my nails to look and she was able to duplicate beautifully. She paid extreme attention to detail and took her time. I also appreciated that she never whipped out her phone or had manny side conversations while I was serviced. She was completely focused. They did a great job with my basic mani/pedi, save for one big thing (or tiny, for size): the woman who did my toes didn't know how to recognize when one had grown out nails to avoid ingrowns. My big toe and second toe on both feet tend to dig in so I keep my toenails rather long. Since I was there with girlfriends preparing for a wedding, I was in the middle of a conversation when I realized too late that my ingrowns had been trimmed. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went in on Saturday April 20th for the first time and got SNS on my nails. The lady who did my pedicure was very nice, I wish I could remember her name. She did a great job. A gentleman did my nails. Now let me just say, I've been getting SNS for the last two years. I recently moved to the area and decided to give Venus Nails a try. Upon completion, I was satisfied with my nails, I loved the color, the only red flag to me was that he dipped my nails in the color three times versus the two that I'm used to. The very next day (Easter Sunday) as I was driving, I looked at my nails and noticed cracking all over the front of most of them. I have only ever seen this after about 2-3 weeks when it's time to get them redone. With it being Easter, obviously they were closed so I waited until I got off of work today (Monday) to go in to make them aware. But because I am a single mom who works full time and in school, I do not have time to get my nails done during the week. So I asked them if they could either give me money back or redo them Friday evening or Saturday when I had more time. When I showed them my nails the two male techs that looked couldn't see what I was talking about. I suggested we walk outside so they could see it better in the sunlight. They claimed they didn't have time to go outside (yet they stood there and argued with me for 15 minutes). They insisted they didn't see anything wrong but could put an extra top coat on. Obviously looking at these pictures an extra top coat would not be the answer. What was extremely upsetting and completely UNPROFESSIONAL was that they asked other customers to look at my nails to see if they saw anything. One of the gentleman looked at my picture and saw the glare (from the SUN) and says "if this is your nail where is the polish??" And starts laughing. So finally they said they'd redo my nails right then OR they could take it off and give me my money back. Again, I did NOT have time (If you've ever had SNS you know they have to be soaked off)! So they say if you wait until Saturday, you have to pay half price. I asked for the manager - of course there's no manager available. I understand they're running a business and not trying to lose money, but my time and money are valuable! I did not pay $40 for this service ($89 for total services) and spend over 2 hours to have to come back and sit for another hour when it's convenient for them! I will not give them one more penny of my money. I have been a customer there for several years. Last week I got dip done on my nails and the technician made it way too thin. As a result, it chipped off of two fingers already. I went in today to get them fixed, and they would not even acknowledge me at first when I walked in the door. And then when I told them I needed to nails fixed, they told me they were too busy and I would need to wait an hour. I am busy too. Was looking to get a pedicure on my only day off, Labor Day. Was pleased to find a nail salon nearby still open! I made an appointment and was immediately seated when I walked in. Their AC was broken but the nail techs did their very best to make us comfortable by supplying fans.
