Clean, quiet and easy checkin. The rooms are well stocked. Bed is comfortable. and it is very close to the ocean sanctuary. The view is really amazing. If your looking for a nice place to stay Ocean point Ranch is the place.

The location is amazing. Me and my partner stayed here for valentines weekend after visiting the Hearst castle. The view and ambiance is nice. The outdoor area is super cute, especially if you have kids. It does get packed so if you want a fireplace outside you may have to wait, we got one around 9pm. We got a double queen bed because we booked a bit last minute and it was the only one available. The room was spacious but it was really cold. The front desk did help us turn the heater on but it was a bit complicated & hidden since it's a bit older. It took about an hour to heat up the room. The morning of check out, from 9am we kept getting door knocks from housekeeping and check out was at 11am. We had about 4 different random knocks that woke us up a couple times. Outside that, it was a good experience.

The disaster front desk attendant, Brianna, who is ruining someone's business with her bad attitude and idiocy. Stay away.

Came here to celebrate a special day. BRIANNA at the front desk ruined it. We had booked a double queen room for $250/night. She gave us a small crusty old room. We checked online and saw the room we had originally booked was the same price as a fireplace room. We asked to get the fireplace room instead and she asked us to pay extra for the "upgrade"! We showed her the website that they're the same price but she kept insisting that we had to pay extra for the same tier room. We decided we didn't wanna stay there anymore as she already ruined the vibe. Asked her to cancel the reservation but she said she won't do that either. We ended up leaving and this will be credit card dispute. I haven't seen idiocy to this extend in quite some time. We come to Cambria often. We will make sure we don't give out business to Oceanpoint Ranch ever again. Here is her photo. If you say this disaster at the front desk run away.

I would go here again solely for the location and the grounds. The room was fine, but nothing special. There are so many trails and places to explore nearby, not to mention, access to the beach! We enjoyed the fire pits, although it was difficult to snag one early on in the evening, and the sunset from state park across the road was beautiful!

One of the workers came up to us and said we can't have all the chairs? We booked and occupied 15 rooms! Get more chairs

While my last Posts were 98% negative I have to update my review from a 0 to a 3. As of last week, the owners of The Oceanpoint Ranch (Pacifica Hotels) finally made things right. As I got NOWHERE with Angel or Dominique, Gatlynn Hicks refunded all the monies that were charged to my guests under our room Block contract. For future visitors, if I were you I'd go directly through Pacifica Hotels. Don't deal with the Sales Staff directly. Hopefully they learned a lesson that you can't give horrible customer service when your job is in Hospitality.

Ok rooms but no housekeeping. At their price point that is ridiculous. Better places on the area with either housekeeping or lower prices.

LOVE the Aesop products in the room!!! a few downside during my stay were: the few times i went to the front desk, the "out of office" sign was up each time. i wanted to rent a bike to bike around the town, no one was around to assist. i waited about 10-15m each time. they have a fire pit that was on the entire time. i heard they provide s'more kits, but we were not provided with any. there isnt really any pet relief area on site. also, all units do not have AC, only fans. i had no service while i was there. i literally was on SOS. i actually loved it. don't worry, there is wifi avail! i would def book white water again!

For $350+ a night, I expected a little more. The room looked…read moredecent enough at first, but the strong musty smell and stained carpet quickly changed that impression. We were also tucked way in the back in a dark corner of the property, which wasn't exactly inviting. Then the little things started adding up. The shower curtain rod was pulling out of the wall, the wallpaper around the shower was loose from moisture, and the ice bucket still had trash from the previous guest in it. At that point, it starts to feel less like an older coastal hotel and more like nobody is really checking the rooms. The pool was half empty with green water sitting at the bottom. Maybe it was under repair, but it definitely wasn't usable. Housekeeping is another strange setup. If you want your room cleaned, you have to request it the day before, and then repeat that request every day. You can't just ask for service for your whole stay. At check-in we were told they used to offer complimentary breakfast, but the new company stopped. The alternative was to walk down the street to another hotel and pay about $20. The next morning my wife went for hot water for tea and they were out. The suggestion was to use the coffee maker in the room. That works, I suppose, if you like your tea with a little coffee flavor. The guy at the front desk wasn't rude, but his attitude was very much, "it is what it is." And to be fair, I've stayed in worse places. The difference is, those places usually charged a lot less. For $350+ a night, FogCatcher is asking you to overlook quite a bit.
