Keith Caballero (VP) responded twice with notably unprofessional emails. He was dismissive of my questions, mocked them as "AI-generated," and suggested my standards were "unrealistic." In the second email, he stated they would not negotiate price or timeline, called me a poor fit, and canceled my proposal in their system -- all without any constructive dialogue. I have no doubt their crew may do solid installation work. But the sales/customer experience is the first impression of how a company will handle problems. If asking questions before signing a contract leads to this kind of response, I'm not confident they'd handle a warranty issue or installation concern any better. I chose to work with a different company. Recommend doing the same if you value being treated like a customer. ============July 2026 - updated after the owner responded====== The business owner is either naivly misinformed or wants to hide facts. They are wrong and I have attached all proof for readers to judge for themselves I left this review hoping the owner would reach out, understand what happened, and use it as constructive feedback. Instead, the response doubled down without verifying the facts. Daniel, with respect -- you were either misguided or too quick to take your team's side without doing your homework. Either way, dismissing a customer's experience without investigation is not customer-first service, and that is a miss. To be fair -- response times were prompt. I just wish the responses had also been courteous and professional. Here is what actually happened: 1. I asked to reduce the scope of work to reduce the price. That is not asking for a discount. Those are two different things. Owner claimes I asked for discount. 2. I asked basic questions any homeowner should ask -- can I see your COI, and will you respond within 15 days if something goes wrong after installation. 3. Instead of answers, the first response mocked me for doing research. The second canceled the proposal for "asking too much." 4. One of my asks was simply: if someone gets injured on my roof during installation, I should not be held liable. That is not unreasonable. That is common sense. Screenshots are attached. I have nothing to hide. I genuinely hope other customers have a smoother experience -- but mine fell short, and I think that is worth knowing before you sign.

They cleaned, realigned, sealed, and repaired all the gutters and downspouts before installing the leaf guards. They also replaced a couple of sections of gutter damaged by the oaks during the ice storm a couple of years ago. The gutters and guards look great and appear very high quality--we'll see how things function during the next storm, but confident they'll work as advertised. I was very pleased with the level of service and the follow-up from the sales guy/estimator, Jon, to the installer, Edward. Edward was just outstanding and did the entire installation himself, working one and a half days to complete the job. One very hardworking guy. Professional, personable, with a great attitude and work ethic. He was on time and was very focused on getting it done right--and he thoroughly cleaned the work area before he left each day. Very impressed overall from getting questions answered, to the estimate, to getting the work done, to the follow-up from the manager, Wes. Well done, Gutter King!

I originally narrowed down gutter businesses by their customer reviews. Xellent Gutter Solutions had 5-star reviews on both Google and Yelp. I would soon learn why. We had old gutters on our home that needed to be replaced. Xellent Gutters promptly came out and provided a very reasonable estimate for the same size 5-inch gutters we had on our house. After considering my options further, I decided that, given the size of our house, I wanted to get a new bid for 6-inch gutters with the Leaf Blaster Pro gutter guards. I promptly received the new bid, which was also very reasonable and better than other businesses with 5 star reviews. I had several questions along the way and always received quick and informative answers. It was clear they cared about fully answering my questions. I always felt like I was a valued customer versus a nuisance for asking questions. They volunteered to come out again to my house with a sample of the 6-inch gutters in my color selection so we could make sure we were happy with that size and color. The owner, Jesus, personally came out to our house, got on the ladder to hold the sample to our house so we could make sure it was what we wanted. Jesus was wonderful. Helpful, funny, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. I signed the contract on a Friday, and they were at our house for installation on the following Monday. They arrived right in the expected time window and sent a text message to announce their arrival in 45 minutes. The text let me know that there would be 4 workers on my installation team: Carlos, Nelson, Emerson, and Jesus. It was an extremely hot day, but they worked efficiently and quickly to install approximately 350 feet of gutters, downspouts, and splash guards. The work was completed in less than 6 hours from their arrival time. The new gutters and downspouts looked great. My yard was left completely clean with no sign that dirty old gutters had been recently removed. The owner, Jesus, and Marlene were standouts in customer service, and the installers were knowledgeable, efficient, and hard-working. So, if you like receiving 5-star service AND product, at a great price, Xellent Gutter Solutions is an outstanding choice.

They charged us $300 for a 1,509 sq ft house -- despite the fact that the home had brand-new blinds, brand-new flooring in all three bedrooms, and no refrigerator to clean. This was absolutely not a discounted or bargain price. Before hiring them, they specifically promised they would come back and address anything my realtor found unsatisfactory after the cleaning. Based on that promise, I paid them in full immediately after the service. A few days later, my realtor inspected the property and found the cleaning quality extremely poor. She provided them with a detailed list of areas that were still dirty. One toilet was so poorly cleaned that my realtor cleaned it herself. On another toilet, instead of properly scrubbing blue staining inside the toilet, they simply suggested replacing the whole toilet altogether. That alone tells you the level of effort they put into the job. The dishwasher was still dirty. Windows, baseboards, drawers, and other surfaces were visibly dirty. There were even cobwebs still hanging on the walls. When I contacted them to come back as promised, their attitude immediately changed. They were rude, dismissive, and kept delaying scheduling. I gave them my husband's number to coordinate a return visit, and they said the earliest they could come was Saturday (nearly a week later). Then on Saturday, they suddenly claimed they would not return unless someone was physically present at the house to inspect their work. This made absolutely no sense because they already knew the property was vacant and that we were remote landlords. They had completed the original cleaning using an access code with nobody present, so this was clearly just an excuse to avoid honoring their promise. After that, they stopped answering calls from both me and my husband entirely. The house was still dirty, and we ended up paying another cleaning company to redo the entire job properly. Unprofessional, dishonest, and extremely poor-quality work. I would strongly discourage anyone from using this company. Respond to the owner's response: you lied! (1) The toilet was totally cleanable. The second cleaner cleaned this toilet with no problem. It looks very clean now. But you even didn't try and simply asked me to buy a new toilet. What a moron. Another toilet shown in the picture showed how my realtor easily cleaned after you still left it dirty! (2) my husband said he didn't clearly agree to have someone come for you because your accent was strong and he couldn't clearly hear what you said. Simply not realistic for us to agree. When he called you, you also didn't tell him which day and time you could come back to clean the house either. Later when I called you to come back, I already explained to you why we couldn't have someone on the spot waiting for you because it was an empty house and we couldn't hire someone to wait for you there. You knew this already even before we let you clean our house at the beginning, because we gave you the house access code to come in and nobody was there! We told you our realtor would come a few days later to check and asked if you could come back to finish cleaning if she pointed out dirty places. You agreed which is why we gave you money to do it. Unfortunately we paid you in full on the same day you did the cleaning. So you can become a moron later. You simply didn't want to keep your own promise to come back to finish cleaning. You could simply say you would come back to finish cleaning what we pointed out and no more trips if my realtor found out more later. However you simply refused to answer our phone and disappeared! If you continue to lie in public here after causing us so much stress and financial loss by hiring a second cleaner, I will further seek related third party for help. I don't believe such a horribly bad company could lie like this in public.

While I don't believe we will be using them moving forward I respect that they stand behind their work. Our former housekeeper moved so we recently had Purple Fig come in for an initial cleaning with the hopes of setting up a twice a month or bi-weekly service. We were quoted ~$280 per visit which was higher than our old housekeeper but seemed reasonable enough given they bring multiple people. They claimed the first clean was to bring things up to the "Purple Fig Standard" but when I got home after the cleaning I genuinely had trouble understanding what they did while in my home other than leave a candy cane on our kitchen counter. They don't do any laundry (even bed sheets/towels, not looking for a wash and fold service here) which is frustrating but I can somewhat understand given the time a laundry cycle takes. The most egregious offense was that they apparently also dont do any dishes . Again, i'm not asking for a post-Thanksgiving dinner cleanup here but we had a few pans and plates from last nights dinner in the sink and they didn't touch them. Overall, my wife and I struggled to understand what they really did to clean our home. When we decided not to continue with the bi-weekly service they then retroactively charged us $470 for the initial clean. For the price they charge not doing laundry or even tidying up the kitchen when there are a few dishes in the sink doesn't feel worth it. The best part of a cleaning service is coming home to a clean house that you can see and feel as soon as you walk through the door. With Purple Fig, I walked in to a house that felt like the cleaning service had to reschedule for another day

Even better, we received a text heads-up when they were on their way. Before Roger even rang the doorbell, he had all of the equipment from the S.W.A.T. van unloaded and ready to go! I showed him the rooms we were hoping to clean, and I apologized for the section of carpet in the corner of our bedroom that our dog had destroyed by scratching/digging a "bed". He said, "If you're interested, this is something we could repair in the future- up to you." (we just may do that!) We contacted several other roofing companies that were working in the neighborhood and their bids were at minimal, 5 times more that Manuel's bid. We have selected Centex Carpet and Paint over other large Roofing Companies. Manuel was very honest, sincere, kind and considerate. He did not asked us to sign any contracts on the first meeting, and he suggested several options of fixing the back siding. Manuel had waited until the weather was sunny and warm with no rain in the forecast and completed a great job on our back siding. He replaced areas with holes and painted the entire back side of the house. Remember, Manuel's bid was at least, 5 times less than other local and national roofing companies that had their company sign all over the neighborhood. I strongly recommend Centex Carpet and Paint. We will be contacting Manuel in a few months to paint our house and replacing the carpet.
