Pros: nice large rooms; included breakfast with lots of options; very nice staff Cons: no stairs (just 2 floors though); no safe in the room; sink in the main room (not in the bathroom) I don't recall that I have ever stayed in a hotel room this large for a reasonable price. For some, it may just be a normal size, but places I typically stay do not have enough room for a couch and coffee table, especially if there is also a desk and another table with chairs! I tend to steadily unpack everything from my suitcase as I need it and leave everything out on all available surfaces rather than put them away, so this setup with all these extra surfaces was perfect for me lol! Breakfast options were extensive and included waffles and pancakes from machines that grilled them up fresh; breakfast sausage, scrambled eggs, and biscuits; yogurt and Greek yogurt; milk and OJ; bread, bagels, and pastries (as well as a toaster); coffee, cream, syrup; oatmeal and a few cereals; and I might even be missing more. Breakfast is available 6-10am. They have what seems like a perfect amount of parking for the number of rooms, because I swear that each time I peeked out the window late at night I spotted a few open stalls. The location is great because it's just off the highway on a main street with quick access to things a lot of people might want, e.g., Costco and Walmart. read more

We stayed 2 nights in July. It's a nice, friendly hotel/motel - access doors on the inside. There is no elevator though - keep that in mind if you need accessibility. I'm 'OK' with stairs unless a knee is flaring up and we had a LOT of luggage due to being on a road trip. The man that checked us in helped us take up the worst of the luggage without even being asked. We really appreciated that! Rooms are clean and relatively quiet. You can hear activity but it died off around bedtime. Price was a bit more expensive than I like, but it was in the middle of high season in the summer and was similar with other hotels around it. The hotel has a complimentary continental breakfast that was pretty good! Its in a smaller room so it can get crowded. Good place to stay over all. read more

We stayed here on our way to Olympic NP. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was spacious and well kept, the bed and pillows are surprisingly comfortable given the price point. Although we didn't check it out, they do offer complimentary breakfast. read more

Our stay at the Ocean Star Hotel was perfect on our was to Victoria CA, BC . Nice hotel and clean. The only issue is there is not an elevator so had to carry the luggage up to the second floor and of course back down in the morning. I suggest you reserve a room on first floor. Other than that all good. We would stay there again but first floor. read more

Small place that recently changed ownership. The room we had smelled faintly of smoke, but overall super nice! All the furnishings were new and when we came in there was a small collection of cookies we could sample. Their breakfast room was small, but quite nice; quality items for a continental breakfast, and while it doesn't have normal hot food, they do have both pancake and waffle makers! Unfortunately the walls / doors are quite thin and I could hear our neighbor's conversation without much trouble. Also could hear the traffic which luckily there wasn't much of. read more

I would rate this hotel a zero if possible. I made a reservation for my 83 year old mother who uses a walker. She has been verbally abused and made to feel unwelcome by hotel staff for "being too long" in the morning dining area. In addition, we notified the property we would be checking in late. Yet when we arrived at around 11:00 pm, there was nobody there. I called, no answer. I finally saw an employee door and knocked quite loudly. Someone finally came out to check us in. We will be contributing to the good reviews...not sure what's going on and if some rooms just got overlooked...this place used to be an Econo Lodge and appears to now be privately owned...I spoke with the hood folks at the front desk and was informed they too over about 1.5 years ago (from our check-in on 4/12/2024)... In any case, we loved it! It's sort of "basic +"...if that means anything...the staff, Sang in particular, were really nice, friendly and accommodating! I normally request a ground floor room primarily as my wife has issues with her knees and they immediately offered us a ground floor room when I noted I forgot to request a ground floor...the only difference was that it was 1 King bed instead of 2 Queens (which I had originally booked because our son is traveling with us) and they also accommodated that by bringing in an additional folding bed that he could sleep on. The continental breakfast was all the usual, but very clean (literally, Sang was in there cleaning up immediately after folks had spilled things here and there...and cleaning tables once people had left...I also say continental +, because they actually provided sausages in addition to most of the typical continental breakfast stuff...and for continental breakfast, you generally never see any meat options...there were hard boiled eggs, orange juice, yogurts, fruit (apples and bananas), coffee, waffle maker, pancake maker (fully automated, never seen one of those), cold cereals, oatmeal, a variety of bagels and pastries, and I believe some bread for toast...feels like there was more, but that's what comes to mind...and the time frame was a pretty generous 4 hours If you're looking this place up, you might note it lists "mini golf" as an amenity...well...it exists...and it's kinda cute/kitschy, but it is 5 holes and you can request clubs at the front desk...definitely a feature that has seen better days, but fun because it's there and I'm guessing young kids won't really care that it's seen better days (water features turned off, no water, missing signage, looks like it's basically been left alone there... Finally, our room...very clean, great setup with the toiletries, even down to the details of the bath towels being rolled up creatively, rather than simply folded neatly on the towel rack...rooms remodeled, it seems, to where they've gone with laminate flooring instead of carpeting, which in my opinion, lowers the chances of having nasty, dingy stuff living in some old carpeting, floors were clean! Other than all that, we felt it was reasonable for the price paid...a little more than the least expensive thing we could find, but we felt worthwhile with the level of cleanliness, amenities provided and level of friendly service. read more

This inn was super clean. I loved that the floors were not carpet. Everything was fully stocked. Staff made sure we had sufficient towels. I did laundry here and it was super cheap. We stayed here two nights near the end of July. The room was roomy, it had a table with two chairs, as well as a desk, and had wood floors instead of carpet. The room was clean and the queen bed was comfortable. The air conditioning worked. On our first full day there, we came back to the room to find that it hadn't been cleaned. Dirty towels on the bathroom floor, garbage not emptied. That was disappointing. We didn't complain to the front desk though, just asked them for clean towels. They serve a decent continental breakfast, which will save you money, especially if you are a family. Cereal, bagels, danishes, fruit, yogurt, a pancake maker, juice and excellent coffee. And for some reason, they had big slices of chocolate cake. You can eat in that room, or bring the food back to your room. The lobby has coffee all day, plus some pastries to go with it. No pool, the rooms have a microwave, fridge, and Keurig coffee maker.the motel is close to downtown Sequim, Close to the Olympic National Park. I would definitely stay here again. Bonus: QFC grocery store with gas across the street. read more

I would've given this business a better review because the staff were very nice and the rooms were comfortable. However there was a very bad smell throughout the hallways and the lobby (it was a smell like body odor). Luckily it didn't extend to our room, though you could get a small whiff of it if you were close to the door as there was a gap beneath it. Because of this, I would not stay there again. read more

I booked this hotel in July for the 18th and 19th of August. We were given room 107. If you're thinking of staying at this hotel, rethink your plans. The room was the most disgusting hotel if I've ever seen. The first thing you see when you walk in is the huge spider web hanging from the light at the sink. The bathroom has mold above the shower. Mold and debris from the wall near the corner of the tub (nasty). The air vent in the bathroom is caked with hair, crusty debris, and chunks/clumps of God knows what. The air conditioner/heater is smashed into pieces, and they just put the broken cover on it, which instantly falls off when you try to turn the ac on. Hair and dirt in the beds. The floor boards are covered with dirt and chunks have fallen off. The manager has to know that this place is awful as they instantly refunded my card, with no hassle. No help to find another location, no sorry for the room, nothing. This is like a crackhead level hotel. Went to the quality in, and were lucky to get a room with a pet in such short notice. Quality inn has been accommodating and much better room. STAY AWAY!! 0/5 STARS!! read more
