Our fried seafood was fried way too hard, which was probably the biggest disappointment with the meal. There weren't any drink specials, and our server didn't seem to know what a Jack and Coke was. She also seemed pretty distracted by another table that appeared to be friends or people she knew, and several of our requests were forgotten. The restaurant was mostly empty, so I was also a little confused about why we were seated right next to the bathroom when there were plenty of other tables available. Nothing about the experience was terrible, and the place itself is nice, but between the overcooked food and inattentive service, there's definitely room for improvement. Three stars feels fair.

I got mine fried with the new potatoes. Everything is delicious, it just needs a little, "slap ya mama" seasoning on it. That would have made this food 5 star. It just Ain't no seasoning. My husband ordered a shrimp po boy. We assumed would be NOLA style but was not (not a bad thing but want to help others manage their expectations). Not the traditional bread used in NOLA; it was also too soft and could not stand up to the amount of shrimp which made for a messy sandwich. I ordered the tilapia sandwich. Fried well but 100% bland and drenched in grease (see pic). We both ordered coleslaw side which was tasteless and watery. Took one bite and stopped after that. There are two tables inside, they were not clean but after a long day of travel we bared it. Took my fish to go to try it the next day (perhaps my palette was off) and it was still bland.

Needless to say with our recent run on Oyster Bars knew we had to stop in Fresh off the road we worked up an appetite and got right to it. We ordered some Patron doubles, which honestly were crazy over priced at $18 a shot, some chargrilled oysters, fried green tomatoes, crab cakes, gumbo, and bienville oysters just so we could have a sampler of multiple items To get right to the point, the chargrilled oysters which were freshly shucked or smothered with butter and cheese and absolute money! The Bienville were covered with shrimp had a healthy amount of crab meat and a creamy Parmesan sauce that were good but something about char-grilled Flavor that made these take a back seat The fried green tomatoes were very crisp on the outside and delicious texture on the inside but the signature crawfish sauce I can't put my finger on it but it was absolutely amazing The crab cakes were no lie 99% crab with next to no filler which is rare nowadays and the remoulade sauce was totally made in house And then finally the gumbo which was highly recommended due to all the achievements it's one, had the right balance of heat spice shrimp, crawfish, crab meat and, okra is a must try! The po-boy fish sandwich was a healthy sized fillet and you could tell was fried to perfection All in all I feel this was a great experience just touching down in Alabama, the only thing that made us laugh was we tried all this hot food when it was 102° outside. Shout out to Josh for that good old southern hospitality as he took care of us like we were family!

The service has to be the slowest in town. When I got my shrimp sampler dinner, they informed me I wasn't getting bacon wrapped shrimp because they were out of bacon. Hopefully my weekend isn't ruined by being stuck on the crapper. The bathrooms were disgusting like they haven't been cleaned in a month. It smelled like they had a weed farm in the stall.
