Cheap lunch specials... sushi (tuna roll + 4 pc niguri sushi) + miso soup + salad is only $8.95. You get what you pay for though; The rice seemed off, like it wasn't sushi rice (with vinegar). The fish was ok, not the freshest, so I can't attest to their turn over, but it wasn't turned or slimy. Miso soup was good, and the salad was fresh. On my last visit, I also ordered a boba milk tea, and a hot milk tea. Oddly, they put scalding hot milk tea in a plastic bubble tea type cup, which melted the plastic heat seal off the top. You'd think they would serve the hot milk Tea in a paper cup . Second, the "bubble" in the cold tea wasn't traditional tapioca Boba, but rather a gelatin type Boba that is similar to DIY kits. (These are the jelly-boba I often see in ice cream that can withstand refrigeration.) Suffice it to say, they are likely not turning over Boba tea often, so they're probably not stewing a pot of real boba. Super amazing place! I've been ordering from here since I'm in the area often. Where do I begin? The Kani salad is delightful. You get a lot for what you pay. They provide very generous portions. Neatly packaged and presented when delivered. I just love it! One thing I hope they change is their ginger which would be better from the Orange to the yellow kind. Awesome place with good quality fresh food. The scallion pancake was a little oily towards the bottom like soaked in oil which was a little off putting to me. Their vegetable wontons are huge and so good. My hubby ordered the dim sum again a great big portion and very delicious. Their shrimp in garlic sauce is phenomenal. Very good shrimp not fishy tasting like I have been getting at most Chinese take out places. We ordered two sushi rolls today the Kabouki roll with shrimp and avocado in the middle topped with spicy tuna on top. Very good but in my opinion to pricey and it looked like a standard roll. It was $8.95. I got the spicy salmon roll which was good. The phone service could be a little nicer I don't know if it is because they are busy all the time and have a high volume of calls. The 4 stars is specifically for the Lo Mein - the best Lo Mein I've eaten possibly ever! I tried this restaurant for the first time at the start of Covid last April when my usual Chinese Restaurant was closed and months later, I recalled really enjoying the Lo Mein and ordered again. It did not disappoint. Not only is the Pint Size plentiful, but flavorful, not too greasy or salty, with a good mix of chicken/veggies, and just delicious. A good value as well. This time I also ordered some maki sushi rolls, which were decent. Both times, I placed my order on their website and paid when I picked up, and the time between order and pick up was pretty quick. Though I was able to park in front, there is a parking lot out back if needed. I also thought it was smart to keep all the condiments out front so you can grab what you need. I always feel bad wasting the little packets of sauces I get from other places. My only qualm is with the customer service - I remember last April it was awkward because chairs blocked off the restaurant so we could only stand in the front by the door and had to holler out our comments. This time the chairs were not there, but the front desk woman was having a lengthy phone conversation so someone from the kitchen had to multi-task and help me. PROS: the price for 4 people was around $30, they offered an abundant amount of food including a free california roll with $25 purchase. CONS: you really get what you pay for. The food tasted very bland. It tasted like a regular Chinese takeout place. They also got my order wrong and gave me egg drop soup instead of hot and sour soup. Delivery time is okay, but during peak dinner-time, (6pm) it took 45 minutes for my food to arrive. So keep that in mind if you're ordering around that time. Otherwise, I like that they take credit card over the phone for delivery orders. The sushi isn't bad; I've never gotten sick off of it, and I can tell the rolls were made to order. I've been ordering from them for years, but last night was the first time the delivery guy actually ASKED me for his tip. That kind of turned me off. Good Chinese food, as with many of the Chinese food places in the area you need to know what is good there and stick to that. This place has good wonton soup and one of the chef specialties crispy honey chicken is delicious. My wife and I order wonton soup crispy honey chicken lo mein and an egg roll and we have enough dinner for two nights. Ocean also has sushi and although I don't really eat much sushi it's good to have the options in case you are in a group and some people want regular Chinese food and others want sushi and sushi rolls. I haven't tried everything here because I usually stick to what's good and that is the crispy honey chicken. I definitely recommend. read more

Above average take-out at this place. They are very quick with deliveries and never got any of my many orders wrong, as far as I remember. Even a very large order for a party was made and delivered quickly. The hot and sour soup here is actually edible, which is good for a take-out. I believe these owners bought out the previous ones here after closing down their bigger restaurant down the block years ago. The food's been better than when the old place was around, which makes sense because these guys here were cooking Chinese seafood cuisine beforehand. I have been ordering from Ocean about once every 2-3 weeks for the last 8 years since I've been living in Douglaston.. Their sushi is always perfect. The fried wontons are the best I have had anywhere and even stay crispy when you reheat them the next day. I never had a bad meal from this place. I was so shocked when I drove by one day and realized it was the typical, small, schlocky looking take out place. The BEST sushi deluxe for 2. Enough to feed 4. Fresh sashimi, fun, creative rolls.
