Eddie looked underneath my kitchen sink and showed me where the leak was coming from, he explained what he needed to do to stop the leak. He told me how much it would cost for parts and labor. He removed the p-trap and show me the worn gaskets and washers. Eddie replaced the worn gaskets and washers with new ones, then he reassembled and tighten all the drain connections. I actually inquired to another business but when I put out my "project" for other companies to compete for, Ocean Plumbing was the first to actually give me a call. After a brief conversation, I set up an appointment for the job. As they say, the early bird catches the worm. Eddie and Sergio arrived at the time agreed on. They were very courteous, friendly, and informative. After explaining the problem, Eddie suggested a few remedies from must-do's and can-do's. The faucet was definitely a must-do but he also said there were things that I can do later if I decided so I can save some money. Sergio went about doing the job well and Eddie kept me up on the job. I told Eddie about a problem with my dishwasher and he told me that they can fix it also and since they're already paid for the time, I just needed to pay for the part. All in all, they were great. So thankful I was connected with Ocean Plumbing through Yelp! Eddie, Juan, Sergio and the whole team were very easy to plan with, very straightforward and direct with no up-selling, with high quality work that was a great value for the money! They honestly go the EXTRA mile to get original matching parts from their connections and resources too so that everything matches and looks aesthetically uniform, even if the pieces are outdated and harder to find. The team did this for both my toilet handle as well as my tub handles. My tub was leaking from the hot and cold handles, and there was no access panel for a team to be able to get to the pipes to tighten or replace the valves. Eddie and his team members Sergio and Juan not only have plumbing knowledge to fix the leak with matching parts that stopped the leak and improved the life of my bathtub, they also were able to make an access panel with minimal dust or disruption for our access to the bathroom. I have worked with multiple plumbing and tile teams in the past, and none have given the same level of care and detailed work for this affordable price! Like many others, I've worked with a number of plumbers. Many in the area are great, but Ocean Plumbing currently takes the grand prize for me. My toilet was suddenly leaking, and I called for an emergency request because leaking sewage water on a weekday is not my 11:11 wish. I used Yelp to send inquiries to multiple places, but Ocean Plumbing was the only one who texted and called me to get more information. For an emergency situation, communication is super important, and I appreciated Eddie's proactiveness. We made an appointment same day, and what we believed to be a common issue of an old wax seal turned out much more laborious - the shut off angle valve was broken too and without that we couldn't do anything. Fortunately, Eddie was there. He guided me through the issue, collaborated with my apartment building, and quickly fixed valve, the toilet, and sink. Maybe some places would have bailed or put in a temporary fix until the next appointment, but not Ocean Plumbing. For all the labor and parts, the price was incredibly reasonable. You probably see that in other reviews but seriously for that level of skill, professionalism, and charisma, it is a top tier service. After my prior review, Ocean reached out to try to make things right with a refund and a sincere apology, which I appreciated. As I mentioned in the other review, it's apparently common for plumbers not to bother with trying to fix garbage disposals, so I don't think they did an abnormally bad job here. This is probably a commonly missed and expensive opportunity for repair. Unfortunately, I don't think there is much choice but to do research and leg work yourself before hiring a plumber, since they will just replace everything. Buying an endoscope is the best idea I've had in a long time. Ocean's workers were very polite, on time, etc. The work on the pipes was great. The experience was 5-stars before I realized the garbage disposal had been forgotten and still would have been if the followup had been more complete (because I understand that stuff happens). So everything else with Ocean should be nice, but you might need to make sure you aren't paying for work that isn't necessary. read more
