We had a clogged sewer line. Fantastic communication and response. We got emergency help on a Sunday! So grateful for the amazing job. Would definitely use them again. read more

Great work, worked with them for nearly 10 years. Dominic is the best, prompt and reliable and honest.

I called Dominic and left a message at 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon. He called back at 2:33 and asked if I needed him today or tomorrow. Clogged sewer lines can get messy and stinky so I asked if he could come today. He said he would be by around 5:30 or 6:00 pm but call before he came. He called back at 3:45 and said that he would be coming from Alameda after he stopped to refuel his van. He arrived at 4:17 and went straight to the problem. I know that some people might look at Dominic and judge him incorrectly. Treat people like people and they will respond to you. He's is genuinely at really nice guy, does his work with a smile and won't try to sell you the world. We'll, it's now past 8:00pm and dark outside. Dominic just left, unsuccessful at clearing our sewer lateral. He's going to come back to try something else but I won't have time until Wednesday. We've had problems for many years now and it was simpler and cheaper to have Dominic clean out the pipes than to have the lateral replaced. If what he does on Wednesday doesn't work, then we're going to have to bite the bullet. read more

They did an easy fix in a very hard to reach pipe without a problem. I couldn't have done it myself. Quick response, accommodating and reasonably priced. Clean and neat in their work protocol was nice to see for a change. read more

MSK Plumbing - Plumbing Near Me

Thanks to Dominic from MSK. We had a broken kitchen faucet and a very wonky filtered water system in that sink too. He was able to schedule the next day and took time figuring it out, got some parts for the filtered system, advised on the new faucet and completed the installation today. Great work and attention to many details. Thanks! read more

Amazing plumbing service. Timely response on multiple occasions. Dominic is very knowledgeable and trustworthy.

I can't say enough good things about MSK and Dominic!! We have used him MULTIPLE times at both of our properties and he has been amazing! It can be difficult to find a responsive, reliable, reasonable ($), and thorough plumber, and MSK/Dominic won't disappoint. Thank you, Dominic, for all of your amazing work over the past few years!!! read more

Had a blocked pipe from my bathroom sink and tub that did not respond to any drain cleaner. I tried snaking, and the snake bounced. I called this company and they rose to the challenge. I am not sure how it got there, but there was inches of sand that had blocked the pipe. We found this out after installing a clean out. These guys are good, and did not make a mess. I would definitely hire them again. read more

Responsive, not the cheapest but very knowledgeable. He fixed a clogged bath tub and fished out a plastic cylender out! Special tools and other plumber might not be able to do that. Half an hour job. Not bad, thanks Dominic! read more

Solid and *stress-free* contractors & handy people are hard to come by, and Dominic is the most solid, reliable, no-nonsense and trustworthy I've ever worked with since being a homeowner for 5 years. We've been using him for years, since we got the house, and he has cleared our bathroom and laundry pipes, fixed our garbage disposal and faucet, and fixed our water heater. He has a 30-day guarantee, but we've never needed him to come back because he get's the job done and knows exactly what he's doing, which is nice when someone really knows their craft. When we call, he almost always comes right away, usually the same day, but if not then usually the next, and he works evenings, which is appreciated with my 9-5 job. He's always on call, is incredibly fast like he's in and out before I know it, is affordable, tells me when and where I can save money with my limited budget, and is extremely professional. Sounds like he's going to hire another associate & expand, since he's so popular! read more

Fantastic service. Had a Fawcett replaced and toilet handles....Took extra time to get parts and only charged minimum....didn't try to sell me on anything.....recommend them highly.... read more

Tried to find a plumber on a Sunday morning,. The first one to call me back was MSK. They were booked up, but gave me a couple of numbers to call. The woman who helped me was so nice, I'll keep them in mind for future disasters. read more

No, Dominic, I paid you to solve my problem, which I told you up front was water backing up into my kitchen sink when my washing machine tub drained. How you went about it was up to you. If you misdiagnosed what the problem was, that's on you. Also, you told me you charge a flat fee for clearing drains, so whatever you had to do should have been included. And there was no "upgrade" needed, no code problem--I just needed the drain cleared. I hired another plumber, who snaked the drain from the roof and cleared it immediately. I would hire Pacific Drain again in a heartbeat. Your response also doesn't explain why you missed multiple appointments and failed to respond to multiple emails and phone calls. Again, stay away from MSK Plumbing. read more

Dominic installed my garbage disposal 7 years ago and did an amazing job as he was efficient and affordable. Recently, I had another plumbing issue with my sink and not only did Dominic come to fix it with a short notice request same day, he kept me up to date on his schedule and arrived around 6pm. He didn't charge me much at all for a job that took no more than a half hour. I will definitely call Dominic if I need any assistance with my plumbing again. Thanks Dom! read more

We had a great experience with Kelly. He came on time and was very communicative, polite and efficient. He not only assessed and fixed our toilet problem and saved us some money where he could, he also pointed out a different problem that we were having with our sink and fixed that on the very cheap, too. We feel well taken care of! Not the kind of plumber who goes out of his way to charge more, but someone who wants to get the job well done and leave a customer happy. And we are very happy. read more

Yelped in a quote and got a super-fast response, showed up same day as promised and unblocked my hideously clogged toilet in pretty damn quick time, allowing me a relaxed and unclenched Sunday evening. Great service. read more

Again I find myself writing a review for a "Service oriented" business which is not common for me but I just HAVE to write one for M.S.K Plumbing. I've had issues with my toilets as the water seemed to be draining consistently and would not consistently refill either. These guys are open 7 days a week which is insane since I feel must shops are closed at least Sunday. Was able to leave a message for a potential appointment and received a callback within the hour to schedule my apt. I am always skeptical about services "ripping" me off but knew that this problem had to be fixed. These guys called to let me know they were running ahead of schedule and asked if it was ok for them to show up a bit earlier. They again called to keep me aware of status which I appreciated as I know I hate waiting for people and always being uncertain when they will show up. They came up to do an assessment and prior to stepping into the house he put a sleeve on over his shoes to make sure the floor was not dirty. I found this pretty surprising and considerate... I know its minor but it was thoughtful. He was very transparent on the potential costs and explained what it all entailed for labor and parts. After assessing the situation he grabbed parts and went to work. They were quick, pleasant, and full of knowledge on what I should be looking for in the potential issue. This company is a legit group of folks who are making an honest living and putting in all of their energy to make this company work. It is company like these that deserve the nod and the opportunity to grow and I could not be happier that I gave them a call. At the end of the fixing, they even told me that it was not as bad of an issue as they had identified and cut the price down from what they had originally quoted... which again shows that honesty. They stand by their work and guarantee is and were extremely professional. Do not hesitate to give these guys a call as you will not be disappointed. This is a true "little shop" that has got the entire business model set straight. read more

We have had such a terrible time with MSK plumbing.  What was supposed to be a 1-day job is still incomplete after almost 3 months!  He has come to our house many times but never completes the job due to not having the right tools, injuries, sickness or something else.  Like another reviewer said, a lot of drama! Right now they are ignoring my texts as I try to get them to finish the job.  This has been the single worst experience with a contractor I have ever had.  I feel scammed! read more

MSK Plumbing - Such bad work - Plumbing Near Me

See all

I will only use MSK for my plumbing needs - my crazy roommate suspected our water was "poisoned" and unfit to drink or bathe in due to teeny, tiny black specs only she could see. She sublets from me so I felt bound to address her concerns even though I was fairly sure she was coo coo for coconuts (she has since been asked to leave our lovely home). Dominic came out on a Sunday, checked everything including the water heater. No specs to be found - no surprise there! BUT he did find the water heaters vent was completely disconnected and allowing carbon monoxide to free flow into the house. Yikes! Not only did he run to the store to buy the stuff he needed to replace and fix it, he came back later that day because he had concerns that the sealer he used wasn't up to snuff and purchased a higher grade to reapply right then and there. What?! Are you kidding?!? This guy is amazing. Professional, quiet, quick and like I said before, my dog loves him. He also didn't charge me extra to come on a Sunday to deal with craziness, his pricing is extremely reasonable. This guy rocks. read more

Talk about a professional! I just bought a house a couple weeks ago and had a washer & dryer delivered today. Well, when they tried to test the washer the standpipe immediately overflowed. After I envisioned all of the money that I would have to spend to have this fixed, I jumped on Yelp and found MSK Plumbing. I called around 4:00pm (did I mention that today was a holiday and I wasn't expecting anyone to get back to me?) Less than an hour later my message was returned saying that they could be there in about an hour! What? I was floored that they would even come out today let alone so quickly. Well, Dom and Raul showed up and had me back in business in no time. They did a super great job and I'm pretty sure that they left the jobsite cleaner than when they arrived. I would highly recommend them to anyone that it looking for an honest and competent plumber. I'll definitely be calling them again for all my plumbing needs. read more

I highly recommend Dominic for your plumbing needs. He came out to my place on the same day, but had to special order the drain for my sink. He was able to work around my schedule in order to come back and complete the job. After replacing the drain (he only charged at cost for the part), we realized that the clog was farther in. He removed a clogged piece of plastic and snaked the drain as well. All done in 1 hour, with very reasonable service rates. He is an experienced plumber who: 1) Speaks Enlish 2) Accepts Credit Cards 3) Has someone (his wife) to answer the phone and schedule the appointments, when most plumbers won't call you back if you leave a voice mail. 4) Acts completely professionally 5) Arrives on time 6) Doesn't try to rip you off What more could you ask for? read more

Highly recommended. We thought we had a serious (and expensive) plumbing blockage. Dom came out, examined our system for half hour; found the problem had gone away. He could have charged us big bucks: told us we had serious troubles, instead he asked for $20 to cover his gas in making a home visit. That was the total bill. Wouldn't hesitate to call on this company again!! read more

I contacted them after reading and seeing the stars rated here on Yelp. Wanted to know if they could come out to give me free estimates on a couple of things I need to do, which are pretty major jobs (gas pipe for gas stove and shower for a current tub that doesn't have the shower capability; it's only running/working tub). Left a msg and when someone called me back, I was told they don't give free estimates. I was told that they don't give free estimates. I thanked them and now I am writing this review so you are aware. They were really nice and professional. The owner called me and explained why they had to charge for their time in providing estimates, etc, which I understand and respect. This review here is informational so you would know before calling and requesting them to come out for the job. This review is not a reflection of their work or services since I didn't have a chance to experience. read more

Dominic is awesome.. I called him on a Sunday to put in a new kitchen faucet for me and fix the leak. He gave me an accurate ETA and was able to come out a couple hours later even with 2 jobs before mine. Honest, hard working, knowledgeable and for real. he'll get the job done and make sure it's done right. mention yelp & he'll take $15 off. read more

What is it about Sundays and plumbing problems? Seriously we can't catch a break. You'd think four bathrooms on three floors is awesome. And normally it is. Until it isn't. Three weeks ago on Sunday the toilet on the main level backed up when the upstairs shower was being used. Water everywhere...but at least contained to the bathroom. Called Dominic, he came out within a few hours, and pumped out the internal house pipes and we were good to go. Today, I looked into the toilet of the basement level and noticed very little water...so I flushed and it tried to fill up too much but stopped. Let hubby know and he went and checked and must have flushed again as a "check" and then it backed up and sewage backed up through the shower in that bathroom. So it was a mainline problem. Called Dominic and he was here within about 2 1/2 hours. The mainline had roots that had been growing in it for years, so he cut through them all the way to the city main trunk line that sits all the way at the back of our property. All is now well again - and as usual, his rate was very reasonable. I've said before, but it's worth repeating - don't hesitate to call MSK. You won't regret it! read more

Dominic is a master craftsman and true professional. He's got the right gear and knows how to fix difficult plumbing issues. I've had to get my main sewer line snaked at least once a year for 5 years and Dominic came around today to clear the line, then he finally scoped the issue with a pipe camera and figured out exactly where a break was, near the sidewalk. I can now finally fix the problem permanently. I called yesterday and his assistant returned my call within an hour and set me up for today. She called again today around the scheduled time, and let me know he was running 30 minutes behind. Fantastic service and great follow-through. Thanks Dominic! read more

Call Dominic first! He answered right away, came by about an hour later, my pipes are clear (cue double entendre) and I'm a happy gal. :) Dominic smiles just like his picture, has a great 30 day guarantee, is easy to talk to (nice when you have a stranger in your home), and even gave me a referral for some plumbing installation I'm looking at down the line. If I had to smell clogged drains and sewer gas all day I don't think I'd be as cheery as Dominic is! I would call him back in a heartbeat (unlike the other two plumbers I called that either didn't call back or called back complaining to a new customer about a bad day - what?!). read more

It's Friday at 5:30pm and my husband just gives me the dreaded news that everything is clogged up. I immediately look on yelp and see several highly rated plumbers. I choose Oakland since it's local. I call and get a voicemail so I leave a message. A few minutes later I get a call back and the nice lady asks me some questions and says she will check if her guy can do the job. She calls back again very soon and yay he can be there in 10 minutes. Dominic was knowledgable, professional and efficient. Basically he saved us from a crappy weekend. Literally our pipes were clogged and if we keep flushing it would keep coming our the side of the house. Yuck. We will definitely be using them again hopefully it will be years from now. So grateful he squeezed in a last minute job on a Friday evening. read more

We moved to Oaktown about two years ago, and this was our first time needing a plumber. I always check out yelp for reviews, but I never leave any reviews of my own. The service we received from MSK Plumbing was AMAZING and is definitely deserving of my first review! Dominic provided us with A+ service from start to finish. I called on a Saturday and left a message. Within one hour of my call, Dominic had called me back and we had an appointment scheduled for Wednesday (this was NOT an emergency issue, so Wednesday was perfect!). We had a few issues for Dominic to investigate; a decrease in water pressure and a slow leak from the shower head and a laundry tub leak. Within 10min. of his arrival, Dominic had diagnosed the root causes of all of the problems. He was able to fix the shower within 50min. The laundry tub was a complete loss with multiple cracks in the basin (contributing to the leaky situation) and drain. We look forward to working with Dominic again to install our new laundry tub! Honestly, it feels great to find our local plumber! read more

Just like everyone says, Dominic is the best. He is punctual, honest and fast! We just bought our home a year ago and we had a plumbing issue. We had no idea if this was going to be costly. Dominic came as promised and did his magic. It was inexpensive and he guarantees his work for 30 days. I think I just found our new plumber! Thanks Dominic! read more

Absolutely stellar service, great personality, quality work, ethical standards and reasonable prices. MSK seems to go the extra mile. Highly recommended! There is a reason this company has so many positive review. I wouldn't consider going elsewhere after my experience. Had a clogged waste line and they cleared it the same day i called. They also went the extra mile to clear out as much root matter as possible and advised on thew possibilities of replacing the waste line in the future. Awesome! read more

Personally, the main guy Dominic has got to be one of the best plumbers around. The prices are reasonable and the respect is off the charts. They have these booties they cover their shoes with upon entry & to top it off they are organized & skilled. They came to fix a clogged drain in the kitchen, had to cut a pipe under our house to fix our problem. Only took them a few hours to tackle the problem and assure us that this would not be happening again any time soon. Besides them recognizing me on a first name basis they cleaned the area behind them before they left. (MUCH APPRECIATED) No questions asked, I will be calling Dominic back to help me if needed. read more

MSK Plumbing - Always professional and excellent work. - Plumbing Near Me

Ok, so after MSK came out and initially fixed our problem, we had a repeat of the same issue. Yikes! We called Dominic right away, and he was able to get out to us the next afternoon, super apologetic, to fix the problem again. The best part? MSK guarantees their work for 30 days--since the problem started up again a week later, he fixed the problem again AND didn't charge us a single penny! He was sincere and apologetic in having the problem arise again, but MSK provided us with great service and prompt follow-up when we needed it. A real stand-up company! It's been over a week, and no issues! I'm confident they fixed the problem this time, thankfully! read more

Between the house and the coffee shop we used to own, and the remodel work we did at both, I have used a LOT of plumbers, electricians, etc. MSK Plumbing/Dominic is at the top of the list. I've used him more than once. He is on time, works quickly, is polite, communicates well about what he will do, what may or may not work, etc. He doesn't try to get you to do work that you don't need to to, but at the same time lets you know about things you can do if something becomes more of a regular problem. The people he has hired to help him seem great as well. He also cleans up well afterward. All of that and the price he charges is fair and reasonable. Definitely the company to call. read more

This is the second time I have used MSK to work on my sewer line. I had them out a couple of years ago when they were first starting out. They have obviously done very well as you can see from the other reviews on Yelp. Dominic is an honest guy and very professional. He arrived when he said he would. Did a great job unclogging my sewer line. Left my basement nice and neat. I like to encourage small business that do a good job and are honest. You both of these from MSK. I have not written many reviews on Yelp. I guess I'm lazy. I have enjoyed good results when using Yelp, and now I am going to contribute back by leaving reviews for those folks I find here. MSK is a good start, especially when you have something nice to say. In any event, I recommend these guys wholeheartedly. Nice to know there are still good, honest, and reasonably priced plumbers out there. read more

This review has been a long overdue because we've been using MSK Plumbing for several years now. I am very happy to see that MSK Plumbing has built their good reputation around bay areas. Dominic came over on an emergency call when our first floor was overflowing with ... joy. This is a commercial building so I know my way around contractors. Not only did Dominic put in way too many hours, but cleaned out the nasty clog. He was so affordable that I CHOOSE TO PAY MORE THEN HE WAS BILLING ME. This guy and his gal are troopers: professional, efficient, honest, and really hard working. I couldn't get my usual guy, so that plumber gave me a 'blow by blow' of what to expect - and what to watch out for in shady plumbers - Dominic did the right stuff with ZERO shadiness :-) ... along with getting ... um ... splashed with sewage! read more

Had a big Little League end-of-season party for the boys on Saturday in late May--Thursday the sink AND washing machine back up. Holiday weekend, backed up sink. I tried the snake from tool lending library. Couldn't fix. Frustrated. Left messages with several Yelp-ly recommended plumbers, cause I JUST COULDN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE.
