I will never ever step foot n this place again... so I want to start this review by saying I really didn't want to do this review because Juan is great!! But the mother who Owns business is mean and evil and treats people horrible!! I was there to get a pedicure she used cold water on my feet, didn't pick cuticles and never used paraffin wax or massage and tried to charge me full price and when I advised her that I wanted her to stop pedicure because she decided to try to pick cuticles when I told her she never picked them at end of pedicure on top of that she screamed at me in front of all the customers to the top of her lungs because I asked someone to call her daughter Juan she said this is my shop I own it I don't care if you call Juan she works for me! I have never been so disrespected in my life... when I left two ladies walked up to me and told me the mother treats a lot of ppl bad that's why she is losing business... if you're smart you wouldn't allow her to touch your eyebrows or nails she does a horrible job!! My only advice is before you spend your hard earned money you get some respect read more

I've always been a fan of Ocean Nails and find myself going back occasionally. My only complaint is the service is not consistent. I always come in with at least my BFF if not more girls and they don't always remember to do our brows. The last time they just blatantly ignored our repeated request. Haven't been back. my friend usually goes here to get brow waxes done with a lady named Lee, i went in there last week with that friend and Lee did my brows. She messed up one eyebrow and gave me horrible service. she was awfully rude to me. eyebrows is $7 and my friend always pays in card, Lee lied to me and said she can't charge my card since its under $10....and little does she and her staff know that i was vietnamese or know that i also work at a nail salon...they were talking smack about my friend and i in vietnamese....i am definitely never coming back here and will spread my bad review like a forest fire. if i could give this 0 stars i would. they don't even deserve one star. read more

I came here once and won't go back... When I first arrived the owner started doing my nails due to all the workers being occupied. She was really rough and it was unpleasant and at times painful. She didn't pay attention to detail. My toes were cut/filed crooked and when she took off my old acrylic nails, she was pulling them off roughly and it was painful and damaged my natural nails badly. Luckily she had someone else finish my toes but all she did was paint them. Then a younger lady did my full set... She was really nice and VERY fast! I would go back just for her but unfortunately the owner just ruined my entire experience and I'd be scared if she tried to "help out" or anything. Also Not That this matters but it may to some... I moved to the Neptune Beach almost a year ago. My sister recommended Ocean Nails. She has been going there for years. Now I go there every 2 weeks. For pedicures, manicures and gel nails. It is a family-owned business. Everyone is incredibly professional and friendly. They are so nice and take great care with every customer. Love it! read more

I have been going to ocean nails every 2 weeks for the last 12 years!! I absolutely 100% love this place!! They are a family owned and operated buissness.. That have always given me amazing treatment and they always take care of me!! They have a very wide variety of services they offer..and anytime I bring someone in with me they take care of them amazingly well!! As long as I live in Jacksonville I will always continue to go to ocean nails and I also will continue to refer they're buissness!! They treat me as if I'm family and they have very great prices as well and do an amazing job at all of they're services including hand drawn nail designs!!! read more

i've been coming to this salon on and off for 3 yrs. on 10/13/16 i came to get my nail fixed and to get a fill in. there's is where the story begins ... number 1: my nails were extremely crooked, thick, multiple bumps, not painted fully and didn't even look like i got a fill in. and anyone that knows acrylic nails should know how terrible all those traits are. **mind you the female OWNER did my nails. i still paid for myself and my daughters before i left. i told the owner ill have to come back the following day to get them fixed because it was close to closing time and i didn't want to hold them up. (me being generous) number 2: i come back the following day on 10/14/16 to have these issues corrected. (inconvenience for the customer) waited for the owners daughter "jessica", whom immediately gave me an attitude. i watched her as she corrected her mothers mistakes because i refuse to return to this facility again. i noticed bumps still on my thumb. informed "jessica" who quickly resolved it. then she stated "i fixed them, it's not my fault" i then replied "no it wasn't your fault, but since i paid for them, they should be done right". no response. i got up to go wash my hands to hear jessica discussing me negatively with her co worker and 2 customers. making hand gestures and being extremely unprofessional and RUDE !!! i decided to not say anything because my temper is very quick and i do NOT take being disrespected lightly. bottom line, if you're doing a job, it should be done correctly every time! this establishment has been here far too long to treat PAYING CUSTOMERS the way i've been treated. i'm in absolute disgust. you've lost 5, excellent tipping, paying customers and i'll be sure to tell everyone i know what happened to me at your "business". read more

I was in town for the weekend and a friend suggested I try Ocean nails for a no chip mani and pedicure. It was clean, no wait, friendly staff. While I was getting my pedicure, another technician began removing my old no chip polish- no problem. She was using a tool I wasn't familiar with, but I didn't pay much attention, until she began baking on the base layer of polish while there was tons of dust and debris all over my nails after using the weird filing tool. The base coat was grainy and bumpy. I asked if I should wash my hands first- and she said "no." As an avid gel/no chip user, this was not the norm and incredibly sloppy. I ended up stopping her and refusing the service. In the end my nails were super short, paper thin, with bumpy acrylic polish all over my skin. I was really disappointed- but tipped her for removing my polish. The pedicure was great- but would never get a manicure there again. Beware. read more

Probably one of the worst polish jobs I have ever had. Both on my fingers and toes. The older man who removed my toe nail polish had such long nails that he stabbed me several times during the removal. The young man who did my pedicure didn't know what he was doingand also had long nails that stabbed me several times. He seemed to pay close attention to the polish job but did a lowsy job. The polish on my finger nails doesn't even go to the cutical. You can see the first coat of polish because the second coat covers such a small area. Really disappointed. Won't return. read more

I chose this nail salon because they were close to my home. I walked in, was sat right away. No one started working on my nails for about 20minutes. I wasn't to bothered by that, I was bothered by the fact that... 3 different people worked on my nails! I asked for a pink & white fill! The first guy didn't really know what he was doing, he said "I'm just grinding the nails down so they can fill them".... Well he ended up pretty much filled my whole acrylic down to nothing! He only did 3-4 of my nails. Then he passed me off to another guy who just followed in the first guys footsteps and didn't know what he was doing. When they lady who was originally was going to do my nails came over, she looked at my nails and shook her head. I knew exactly what she was thinking "those idiots messed up he nails, now I have to fix things". I was a little upset they didn't have the same pink to do the fill. So I settled for what was closest, big mistake! The color was like clear! Not pink at all! I wouldn't suggest this place for a pink & white fill at all! But if you are just getting a new set... I think this place would be perfect! The work the woman did on my nails were great, I just hated how they looked (color wise), and I was a little upset they started to lift after 10days! read more

I was a first time walk in today and this was hands down one of the best mani/pedis I've ever had. I have a toenail that is cracked down the middle and has been for years. I informed the lady doing my pedicure about it and she took such great care to not cause me any discomfort. I've had several salons tell me oh its just a hang nail and rip it off. I didn't even notice when the chair turned off because I was so relaxed from the fact that they were taking such great care of me. 10/10 would definitely go back. Absolutely the worst set of nails that I have ever had done at any salon. I will never return. I was charged top price for poor shoddy work that was rushed through. Then they try to "nice" you out of your desired style of nails. I was referred here by someone that I have much business respect for, yet I must be honest on any review that i do. The nails were crooked, different lengths, and tooo thin. On top of all of that, the nail stations are old old and grouped together, reminiscent of elementary school desks. The salon is not very appealing at all. I took a loss on this one. I really tried as I was looking for a new salon to frequent. I don't mind paying top price plus a generous tip for top work and good customer service. This salon lost a good one that quick. Ridiculous. Note to them, customers deserve more respect for their desires. If you can't deliver what is asked of you, be honest and let it be known that you can't do the desired. read more

I went yesterday for the first and only time and had a HORRIBLE, UPSETTING experience. I had previously made a 10:00 appointment for pink and white acrylics, showed up early. The tech - not sure who this older lady is - told me my old nails were lifting and needed to be removed. I declined because it's so hard on your real nails. She proceeded to use plastic tips to corner under my nails and try to lift them off while another lady used nippers to pull my old nail off on my other hand! I made her stop. It was painful, and my thumbnail is damaged. She then asked if I wanted gel. No; acrylics. She then got out the box of tips and glue and started filing my damaged thin nails even thinner! I lifted my hands to get away from her, was ready to cry, so frustrated. I wasn't sure if I should just leave and try to find someone to fix this mess. She kept insulting my nails and raising her voice! Another tech, Jennifer, was working on a customer next to her stopped and came and took over and finished doing pink and white acrylics for me. I am not thrilled with the results, but thrilled to get it done and out of there. The older lady came over once more and started loudly lecturing me again about trying to save me money, etc. I just said, "That's not helpful. Not helpful," and ignored her. They charged me $40, threw in clear gel topcoat for "free" and I left a tip for Jennifer. Yuk! Never, never, ever will even go in there again, not even in the parking lot! read more
