It was definitely busy and a little noisy, so I probably wouldn't choose it as a place to sit and get work done, but it's perfect for grabbing coffee or breakfast, or meeting up with friends. The horchata overnight oats were SO good--easily the highlight for me. They were unique and so delicious. I could eat them every day. I also got a cold brew with coconut cold foam. The cold brew itself was really good--smooth and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. The cold foam was just okay; I thought it was a little weak in both flavor and texture and would've loved it to be fluffier and more flavorful. Still, I enjoyed the drink overall. Service was incredibly quick, especially considering how busy they were. Our coffee and food came out almost immediately. Such a cute beachy coffee spot and the perfect pit stop before heading to the shore. I'd absolutely come back, especially for those horchata overnight oats!

Luckily we are usually able to find street parking within walking distance. Inside is quite spacious with lots of seating. There is a good list of food options usually ranging from sandwiches to wraps, bowls and pastries. They even have ube coconut loaf which was also sweet and satisfying! we tried their sammys and chicken caesar wrap and they are delicious. The coffees are made well too with great seasonal flavors. Their peanut butter mocha is yummy! Another bonus for me is their family-friendly atmosphere with a baby-changing area in their restroom and the fact that there is a playground right across! I stopped by the Long Branch location, located in a small plaza with plenty of parking. The interior is pretty small. No seating available - just a register to order, counter, pick-up area, and merchandise section. They only operate as a grab-and-go. I can see it being cramped during rush hours in the morning... luckily I came by on a weekday afternoon and was the only one there. Rook prides itself on having a small and simple menu. They only sell hot pour-over single origin coffee and cold brew. They picked a few things to perfect and do really well. So for espresso lovers, you're out of luck. BUT don't let that steer you away because their drinks are phenomenal. They use high quality, premium beans. The employee was extremely helpful with guiding me through the menu and giving me recommendations. I love that milks and sweeteners are available at no additional charge! They also have decaf and half caf options. I ordered a Vanilla Cold Brew (regular size $5.50) with milk and sugar. And let me tell you... it was love at first sip! It was probably the best cold brew I've ever had. Super smooth, rich, and creamy. The vanilla flavor wasn't overpowering and added just the right amount of sweetness. I definitely understand why so many people love their coffee. I wish there were more locations closer to North Jersey because I can see myself becoming a regular. The food options are pretty varied and menu has everything you could want: savory, sweet, healthy, or chocolatey. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Depending on your timing, there can be long lines, but you can text your order in ahead of time and just pickup to pay when you arrive. They also have a loyalty account system which allows you to pre-load an account and not worry about bringing your wallet every time. As soon as I entered the bakery I was greeted with warm eye contact and smiles. The bakery seemed lively and occupied with many customers and hard working staff. It's a Brazilian bakery, therefore the counters are filled with traditional Brazilian sweets and baked goods. I'm Greek, therefore we express through food, which I found common among Brazilian culture. I didn't have any issues communicating with the staff. The place is different from conventional American bakeries, which will make you feel like you're traveling abroad!
