My fiancés Harvest Latte tasted of the most bitter artificially sweetened berry you could ever have. It completely masked the coffee in the drink. My gingerbread cookie was good, but my latte? We got our sandwiches and some bagels to go, to eat on the long ride home. But wait....our sandwiches were so extraordinary that we did a U Turn to go back and get a couple more bagels for freezing at home! My husband got a regular hot coffee and enjoyed that, too. They even have a dedicated "Kids Corner" menu with fun, reasonably priced items like the Lil' Eggwich, French Toast Sticks, and Confetti Cocoa. The cafe itself is so cute and inviting, the kind of place you can easily settle into for a while. We loved that they feature local pastries, which made the whole experience feel even more special. The coffees were delicious across the board. My personal favorite has been the tiramisu latte, but honestly, you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I was so excited for this Hazlet location to open, although it seems to be more in Keansburg. Nevertheless, it's closer to me than the Middletown location. I ended up stopping by on their opening day, which was the day after Thanksgiving. There was a pretty good crowd there, but it wasn't too overwhelming. What I loved is that I still received the same friendly service that I get at Middletown. My namesake, Mia, was there. :-) Also, this location has seating!!! It's beautiful on the inside and now provides a place to meet up with a friend to sip and chat or even have a coffee/tea date. In addition, they also sell a few pastries and merch is available for purchase as well. Needless to say, I'm excited that this new location is open and look forward to more of their fun, seasonal drinks.
