Amici Gelato is a craft gelato shop. They ship the majority of their ingredients in from Italy and the gelato is made fresh in house daily. Staff is very friendly and they enjoy sharing information about their products. The gelato itself is wonderful! The Italian ingredients and freshness come through in the first bite. They have all the classic flavors and some other, interesting flavors that keep things exciting. This place is a must stop in Asbury.

Excellent coffee. Very casual ambience and the service was extra special. Would definitely recommend.

Bottom line: Amici has some delicious selections, my cookie and latte hit the spot. Be aware that at the time of my visit, prices are not displayed on menus. The Deets: I found out about Amici on a recent visit in Asbury Park and decided to give them a go for a coffee break. I stopped in and liked the look/atmosphere, very clean with mostly stark black/white cafe look that was very charming. Lots of delicious looking treats to consider looking through the glass with gelato, baked goods, etc. and then coffee drinks as well. I opted for the chocolate chip cookie to accompany my latte. Note that they have a few milk alternatives available for coffee beverages but alas, no skim milk offering for a skim latte...I went with whole milk then. The latte was great and the cookie was wonderful, nice and chewy, not crumbly and hard so it tasted fresh. I did notice when ordering and also looking at their printed menu (and I see others have mentioned) that there are no prices displayed currently at the time of this visit, see pics. It did throw me off a bit, thinking when the prices looked erased that maybe they could not offer the latte drinks etc. until I asked for my choices at the register. I do feel that if you are going to charge a price, then stand by it and display the price to the customer so they can be informed about their purchase (unlike some type of exclusive or expensive restaurants I have seen). Otherwise, a nice cafe environment with tasty cookie/latte break...delicious selections on my visit.

Great gelato and fresh flavors! Very rich and creamy. We had the watermelon sorbet and hazelnut gelato. Both were great.

The hospitality and attention to detail was outstanding. Definitely a place you'd want to come with some good company to enjoy the dessert and environment.

I hop into this little gem when I can. They always have great flavors. I'm more of a sorbet girl but went with the lasted gelato flavor "Apple Pie" and oh my, it did not disappoint. After a sample I grab a scoop to go. I also picked up a classic cannoli because, why not. I love that they fill the shell to order AND it wasn't one of those no filling makes it to the center type of cannoli. It was soo delicious. Can't wait to go back.

Two small gelatos. It was perfect sizes but we wanted more. Pumpkin spice and pistachio. Hazelnut and stracciatella. Loved all these flavors

Very good authentic Italian gelatos. My fav were hazelnut and stracciatella. Their pumpkin spice was so good too. They even make gelato cakes!

This place is amazing! I feel like I stepped into another time and place coming here. It's like what I imagine a gelato cafe in an Italian city is like. When picking up your order in the caffe, your eyes will be pleased by the cute black and white checkered tiles and the overall theme of the place. Their gelato is creamy, rich and full of love. I got a scoop of the dark chocolate and a scoop of the s'mores. It's as close to heaven as you can get. Though slightly pricey, it's definitely worth it. They play great music from artists like Frank Sinatra and lots of other great music from his time. All they're missing is a Nutella gelato and this place will be complete!

What a great place! Excellent house made gelato and baked goods by an Italian owner! Highly recommend stopping in and enjoying an espresso and gelato or a cannoli!

Really great coffee! As soon as you step through the door, you're gonna love this place, charming, decorated beautifully in a very warm feeling inside. We came in to get a coffee to warm up on a cooler day and found ourselves ordering gelato and even a salad for lunch. The food here is really fresh! They really know how to make their coffees and tease as well. They have a really nice assortment of snacks and food. You can order while you're here. Very highly recommended if looking for a snack, a meal or a perfect cup of coffee while walking around downtown Asbury Park.

Delicious cocktails on their menu and plenty to choose from. Food was flavorful, warm, and fantastic. We plan on going here anytime we have a show now. Note: food ended at 6pm on a Friday. It says on one of their signs "late night bites" but they might've done away with that. I got the tomato & mozzarella panini ($14.) The bread has rosemary baked into it. It was easy to eat - not "too large" or hard bread that roughs up the roof of your mouth. It's the perfect insides to bread ratio. My bf got the chicken salad panini ($15) and THAT was amazing. The berries give it a sweet flavor. He was scooping what fell out of the sandwich with the chips it was that good. I recommend the Honey Boo cocktail if you like sweet flavors and bourbon. The Spicy Bee (I think that was it) was the perfect balance of pepper and orange. There's black & white movies playing on a screen in the corner which had me fascinated and I wish I knew what movie it was. The lighting is low and the decor makes you feel you might be sitting in a speakeasy. 2 drinks and 2 paninis came out to ~ $80 with tip, so it is pricey but it's worth it.

The food was delicious from a very creative menu. Loved the music. The reason I rated 3-stars is because I was really looking forward to visiting for quite some time. It's a 30-minute drive and I visited on a Sunday at 1pm. They close at 3pm. The first thing I asked for was the French toast. They stated that they were out of French toast. Next I asked for Lobster Benedict. They ran out of lobster. The lobster, I can understand. It's seafood. You want it to be fresh and also I think it was a special that day. But how does a brunch restaurant run out of French Toast on the busiest brunch day of the week and you have 2 hours of service left? Not a good impression at all and I was very disappointed. If I wasn't so hungry, I would have walked out. I settled for the Liam's Favorite pancakes which was good and very filling, but I just wasn't in the mood for pancakes. Seasoned potatoes were good. Drinks were also good. Had the Dulce de Leche Cafe. Also this place is BYOB if you want to bring a bottle for mimosas. I would return here, but only if I am conveniently in the area.

I ordered a Shrimp Po' Boy and it was by far the best Po'Boy I have had outside of New Orleans, and might have even been better than the one I had there too. My daughter ordered the Fish and Chips, which she loved despite it being her first time trying it. The interior has that "hole in the wall" vibe with just a few tables and a few stools at the counter. The food is being made just feet away from wear you're sitting and it creates a homey vibe. The locals seem to love the place as several stopped in to either eat or chat with the two women working. I do believe they have outdoor seating at picnic tables. It's cash only or Venmo, which I find its pretty normal for smaller local spots. The thing about this location was that it reminded me of Maine, the walls are painted this beautifully brilliant blue with nautical inspired decor. My favorite was the fishies above a fishing boat, which I had to take a snap of. I ordered 3 eggs over medium, with rye, and a side of bacon. The eggs were still a bit too runny, but its a standard breakfast. I want to go back and to sit there because the staff were super nice. If I lived closer then I'd prolly be here all the time. I saw a reviewer complain about the sign showing open, but they weren't. Honestly businesses making that mistake all the time, but to point it out is just whatever. Highly recommend stopping by here early because I have a feeling they're super busy with the locals.
