So, I found Carmela's Collective, and it looked intriguing because it mentioned gluten-free options. I'm vegan and gluten-free, so I decided to go during my work break. I walked in in the morning, and the atmosphere was very calming, with a classic, sophisticated look. When you first walk in, you see leather bar stools, a couch, and plants throughout the space. The decor features dark tones with accents of light leather chairs and a lighter couch, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. When I first heard the name Carmela, I thought of a grandma. I also noticed an older photograph of a woman on the coffee bar, so I asked about it. One of the workers explained that there are two partners who own the cafe and that Carmela is one of the partner's grandmothers. So, I was actually right in my thought! They have a case full of gluten-free and vegan options. At the time I went, they had breads, cinnamon buns, Pop-Tarts, and donuts. They also had savory scones, muffins, donuts, and crumb cake that were gluten-free but not vegan. They have a cooler where they keep cold drinks, too. One of the owners is gluten-free and dairy-free, and he said that he wants to create a space where he can eat everything there. They even have vegan, gluten-free bagels! And let me tell you, when I had the breads, you couldn't tell they were vegan or gluten-free. They were delicious, not too sweet and not too savory, just absolutely perfect! I ended up getting a matcha, and I came back another day and got one again. The cold foam was absolutely delicious, and it was vegan as well. The matcha was very good, too. Another perk of this place is that they have two back rooms. One is a larger room called The Collective, which is meant to be a space where people can gather. It has chairs and a TV on the wall, making it a place where people can come together. Then there's a smaller room called the Session Space. It's more of a private space if you want to work out, as it has yoga mats, and it also has a workstation. Both rooms are available as spaces to rent. I think this place is pretty amazing in its idea of opening a coffeehouse that offers a community space, a private space, and a place to enjoy coffee. And the perks on top of that are the vegan options and all the gluten-free choices. Definitely, this place is worth checking out, spending some time in, and enjoying!

Later, I saw that the woman preparing the lattes just holds the pitcher of milk, steaming, at the steaming wand without regard to temp. So it seems they have may need some more training.
