I have always loved this restaurant and I will always be loyal to this restaurant because they serve quality food that taste really good and they keep a clean establishment which of course I appreciate, the workers are absolutely super sweet. I was a little bit frustrated because the menu prices are a little bit different than the ones on yellow just slightly more expensive but honestly it's worth it and I feel bad for making a deal out of it. I know it's hard for every restaurant owner out there and this is a small family owned business. They definitely deserve our community support because their food is delicious! Had 1 beer and an entree. Towards the end, we paid and I was trying to clean up after ourselves & stack the plates together. There are many other places that have much better food in the same price range. Ambience, again, just ok. Better than some , worse than some. This place is more of a bar with Mexican food rather than the standard pub fare which is why we decided to try it. What dropped this score was the price of the extras. Adding guacamole to a burrito, $4. Adding fries to a burrito, $6. Adding sour cream to a burrito, $4. We basically asked for your standard, run of the mill California Burrito and it came to $25. There was no indication from the server they would double the price of the burrito for condiments. Had the burrito tasted extravagant and in a city like Las Vegas, I would expect the cost. But to pay that much in a strip mall in Yucaipa for a burrito that was simply "ok"? All future business they would have received from me was lost in that one trip. The bill came to just under $180 for 4 people who ordered 4 burritos, one beer, one margarita, and two sodas. The rest of the food might be quite tasty, based on some of the reviews I read, but I couldn't care less because I can go to literally ANY other Mexican restaurant in the area and pay half that for food of the same quality. This is our favorite taco joint. Best tacos in town in my opio ...fried shells. Stuffed with lettuce and cheese. Perfect. They have a vegetarian potato taco which is yummy. We normally purchase one combo meal and then I will order à la carte. We did not used to do this...but they changed their prices and charge extra for everything. I order hot water with lemon...free. Then we come out about the same as before. I will say the prices are not better or worse than any other restaurant currently. It doesn't matter if they are busy or not; you will wait. It almost seems like it's on purpose, especially with the old lady. She will walk right past you 10 times and not acknowledge you. Decided to try it out. Food portions were good. Their chips and salsa were great. They were the "thick" kind of chips. The only thing wrong (hopefully it was a mistake) was that the beans had NO flavor whatsoever. Made the fries taste bland. The burrito's flavor was saved with all the other stuff inside the burrito (guac, sour cream, cheese).
