After a thorough review of nail salons in Grand Prairie, I decided to come to Oasis. I've been here before, and even though the overall reviews weren't great, my experience has been okay. I saw Jennifer had raving reviews, so I decided to make an appointment for a manicure and pedicure with Jennifer. I called on Sunday to make an appointment for Wednesday. On the day of the appointment, I called to verify my appointment and the scheduled time. I ran into an issue, so I called and let them know I would be late and that I just wanted a pedicure. When I arrived at the salon, I explained to the man at the front desk that I had an appointment with Jennifer for a pedicure. He says to me, "Who took your appointment?" I explained that I didn't ask for a name. At that time, he says, "Jennifer only does nails". I asked him if there was a reason that the person who took the appointment couldn't let me know. He says to me, "Everyone knows Jennifer only does nails". I said I did not, and he asked, "What is the problem?" in a very rude, terse manner. I left because I don't believe in supporting a business that doesn't want you as a customer. To answer the question "What is the problem?" The problem is that, because of my past experiences, I wanted a good experience like the reviews said Jennifer provided. The problem is that I decided to go with this salon rather than another one I previously went to. The problem is that I took off work early to make it to my appointment. The problem is that I planned an experience with a 5-star-rated nail tech. The problem is this was a special occasion, so I wanted to make sure my pedicure was perfect. The problem is that I had to look for another place at the last minute after spending about 2 hours thoroughly reviewing reviews. I know to some this may not be a big deal, and under normal circumstances, I wouldn't care. I would have left and gotten my nails done another day after reading other reviews, but time wasn't on my side. Please educate your staff and phone answerers to let customers know if the appointment they book is not feasible. This was definitely 100% avoidable. Also, please don't attack someone unfamiliar with your practices. A simple admission of a mistake would have been fine; instead, I received a chastisement for an avoidable mistake. I went to the Room Nail Bar down the street, where the staff was fantastic and versed in customer service. read more

Unfortunately, I had to cancel my Chicago trip due to the weather. So, I decided to go to Dallas to get away. I stayed at the same hotel and I was excited to go get some self care! I came back to Oasis thinking I would have the same experience and I did not. I was not offered anything to drink like last time, and the lady who did my pedicure was very rude and definitely made me feel like I was a bother. To make matters worse the lady who did my manicure asked me if I wanted my eyebrows done. For me, that's a no,no as I specifically listed what services I was there to receive. I've been going to this nail shop for a little over a year and the treatment I received today was unacceptable. I got my nails done last Tuesday 11/25 and they were chipping by the time I was out of state Monday. I walked in today for it to be fixed but the manager told me "It's not my problem it's a you problem" since I was out of state and didn't come earlier this week. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. They are quick to take your money for service but aren't willing to resolve issues with service. read more

First of all I'm not even a review type of person, but this place really pissed me off! I came to get a pedicure on Friday afternoon and within 3 hours the gel on multiple toes peeled off (and if you get gel on your toes you know that stuff lasts for weeks on end). I came back and the front person (a man) was so rude and made comments that made me very uncomfortable and a little agitated. The lady fixed the 2 toes for me after I asked to have them all repainted because she put so many layers of gel my toes did not make it through the night and by the Saturday morning they all were peeling off. $95 ($85 service) and $10 tip was absolutely WASTED!!! They are so rushed that they do not listen or pay attention to details. Lynn did my nails. She thought it was funny. It was disrespectful So many people go to this place and they do not care. I told her my nail was crooked and needed to be filed to make it right. When I told her it was still crooked after she claim to fix it, she filed it wrong. Do NOT go to this nail place. I use to really like this place I have been coming for over 2 years and I had an issue with my nails lifting and cracking after 3 days. I got them done on the December 21st, and my nail started lifting 3 days later (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day). I was not able to come in Monday-Wednesday but I came in first thing Thursday morning (10am-ish) and asked if I could get them fixed because of the lifting. They said it was a day too late and I would have to pay for a fill ($50 more after I just paid $80). I told them I wasn't able to come in sooner because holidays and work and they said it was my fault. The guy that answers the phone started yelling at me and I asked him to please not yell at me, and he continued. He also started answering phones in the middle of me talking to him. I never raised my voice at him considering I know that's their business and I never expected this from them. I found it so disrespectful. He also mentioned I should have told the nail tech that it wasn't done correctly, in the moment I did ask the nail tech to fix things but there's no way to tell it's going to lift 3 days later. I'll start by saying this place is cute and a fairly new build. They offer frozen daiquiris, margaritas and other refreshments. BE SURE to ask prices up front as they are pretty pricey !!! My nails were $85 w/cuticles & my pedicure was $39 and she did not do a good job polishing my toes at ALL. My feet are in pretty good shaped and don't require a lot of scrubbing but she totally rushed my pedicure. When I asked for her to at least apply more oil to my feet she acted as if she didn't want to come back over. Don't go in within an hour of them closing because they will rush you. My niece had to use the bathroom and the guy literally walked back to ask me if I could cash out while I was waiting on her ( she's 6) then when I got to the front he wasn't even ready to take my payment !!! The technician appeared frustrated when I wouldn't accept the low quality. The pedicure was $28. While in the chair I saw they were offering patrons drinks like wine and such. Typically when you get your nails done, the set is supposed to last 3-4 weeks. That's normal. Other nail salons I've been to with good customer service have told me to come back to fix my nails if they break before the 3-4 week period, which rarely happened because they were good at their jobs... I just walked in to oasis because I got my nails done 7 days ago. One of my nails broke on the 4th day of me having my set. When I walked in, the manager approached me and I showed him my nails. All my nails have cracks down the middle like they're about to break. It was clear from the state of my nails that this wasn't a good set. All I asked was for my one nail to be done. He was very rude and looked upset. I asked him if I'd be charged and he said yes. And I said why...I got my nails done last week? And he said to show him the receipt and I did on my phone. He said "I'm only doing this for you once...next time it's on you. Because I don't know if you broke that nail yourself on purpose." Why would anyone break a nail on purpose first of all? Second of all, I have a desk job. I'm not doing anything crazy with my hands but typing. He said something angrily in his language and a lot of employees looked at where I was sitting. I felt really uncomfortable so after five minutes of sitting, I got up and left. This is really unacceptable. No one should be upset because the quality of their own work was not good. The customer service here is clearly not a priority. I am a really quiet and calm person and didn't cause a scene at all. I actually told the manager quietly about what happened to my nail to not embarrass anyone. This was embarrassing for me and I hope no one else has to go through that if you come here. read more

My favorite place in GP to go to and not a far drive from Arlington. My mom and I always come here every 2 weeks to get our pedicures and nails done. By far the best pedicure service we've gotten. They play close attention to detail in cleaning your toenails and cleaning cuticles, also very good at painting my toenails not messy at all or missing any crevices. Regarding my full set I did love everything about it from start to finish it was just about cleaning my cuticles and charging +$18 for it that was a little ridiculous to me since I thought it was included in the full set service.
